Kate Walsh- Emmys 2008 Red Carpet
Kate Walsh struts her stuff in a Zuhair Murad mermaid gown with a rose applique on the red carpet at the 2008 Primetime Emmy Awards held at Nokia Theatre on Sunday (September 21) in Los Angeles.
The 40-year-old actress from Private Practice has been hard at work getting ready for the Oct. 1 premiere of the season.

After the boring, boring, boring fashion from last night, finally a dress worthy of a red carpet event.
A somber black, appropriate to the current days of Nightmare on Wall Street, with a little glitter required for the red carpet. Best dressed hands down.

#17 Wow, what a way to be obvious. LOL. You really are dumb. They were not invited to the Emmys. If you are not a presenter (like Kate Walsh was), nominated, or your show nominated, you do not get invited to the ceremony.
Dress is beautiful, one of the best at the event, but Kate Walsh doesn’t look good. She looks unhappy and older than usually. Generally she looks much older recently.
#17 Fortunately EP was not invited., KH was obviously not going to go, and SR had no reason to be there.

Some of you are so boring. I am sick of the plain boring actresses who wear the same crap every year. Kate Walsh was a breathe of fresh air on the boring carpet. She hit all the rights notes. Elegant, Classy, and Sexy. Well done.
I don’t watch her show or the other show she was on, but I might now.
Kate looks a little pissed, and had reasons to be. Because of the bomb scare, the limos weren’t allowed near the theater, and the talent was shuttled in golf carts from a remote drop location.
God only knows how long she had wait, and she nearly arrived late. She was slated to talk to E! and there was no time even for that, and the other interview was rushed. Yes, she wasn’t very happy at that moment.
Fabulous pics. I like the dress, it’s not one of my fav Kate ensembles, but it is classic, sophisticated & elegant, matching the new chic bob. And she was wearing $1 million-worth of diamonds !
All the fashion blogs have lauded her as one of the few Best Dressed of the night & rightly so.
I think she looks a little tired but then she has been very busy lately, filming PrP, flying all over the US campaigning for Obama at weekends, & now has been voted onto the SAG board which is a huge responsibility in itself.
I’m never usually a big fan of her, but she looks great and I love her dress.
Kate’s dress was the best of the night. That dress fits her so well. She looks like a Hollywood movie star from the 40s. Very beautiful.

Nice to see all the fashion pundits say Kate was one of the Best Dressed. Great shape dress emphasising her tiny waist. She has the most fantastic figure, tall, long legs + slender but not skinny.
Black dress gothic look was the look of the night. She pulled it off the best with her fab red hair.
At least she was invited and was asked to present at the Emmys.
Poor thing, they didn’t drive her by limo right to her seat. She had to go by golf cart. It must have been horror! Thank God they didn’t tell her she has to walk. That would be awful. Jeeeez, is she really that shallow and stupid?

Lets see you walk in that dress. It’s not the distance, it’s not the impossible heels, it’s the shape of the dress, not much space int the knee area…
She looks great! I love her hair. I think the whole package is very elegant. This is my favorite look of hers to date.
I really don’t get this idea that she looks mean or unhappy. If anything, she looks demure. If another certain actress looked like this you’d say she is so wonderful and low key. Yet when Kate looks demure, you say she is mean. I just don’t get some people.
Anyway, Kate looked beautiful last night. I was very proud that my favorite actress was one of the best dressed.

I apologize for my comment. I expect rude comments from EP fans or whoever, but I was really disappointed to see such a rude immature comment from a supposed Kate fan. I thought we were much better than that. Are we really that dumb, immature and shallow? To stop being a fan because she cut her hair? Seriously? Is that how you treat your friends and family? Stop loving them, if they cut their hair?

“Mel did most of the talking, but, yes, we had to speak to her to confirm it was actually her. Like I briefly mentioned, she is a whole lot smaller in person than she looks on TV. I figured she was about my height (5′11″), but she’s actually shorter than Mel (about 5′7″ or shorter). She’s also skinner than I imagined (not gross, just tiny), and her hair is A LOT shorter now than I’ve ever seen. On top of that, she was wearing very inconspicuous clothing (from being outside at the shows all day) and no make-up. However, we asked, it was her, I wish I would have taken a photo (but didn’t want to be “that girl”), and she is absolutely beautiful in “real life” (even with no make-up). Oh, and I want her hair. Badly.”
