Clay Aiken: I’m Gay (People Magazine Cover)
American Idol favorite Clay Aiken has finally come out as a gay man.
“Yes, I’m gay,” he tells People. “I cannot raise a child to lie or to hide things.”
The 29-year-old Idol alum is on the mag’s cover with newborn son Parker.
In May, it was announced that Clay had given his sperm by artificial insemination to pal Jaymes Foster, sister of David Foster and Clay’s producer.
In July 2006, boybander Lance Bass also appeared on the cover of People with his own “I’M GAY” issue.

Stop saying ‘who cares’, because people do care. That is: they are curious about who’s gay, who’s not. It wouldn’t be the cover story of People if folks didn’t care.
I respect him for doing this in an open way, finally. There are so many who stay in the closet no matter what. I sort of like him now.

People “knowing” he was gay all the time, moaning why he does not come out of the closet are now: “yeah we know you were gay all the time”.
What is then the point of “coming out”?
If a person being gay or not is such an issue for you then you are a closeted hater.
It is interesting that the only clelbs who come out are the ones that everyone knows is gay, mostly. I still remember clay being asked if he was gay and lying about it.
Ummmm…. why exactly are we CONGRATULATING him???? way to go… good job… cute kid… WHAT?!!! am i the only one who finds this whole thing disgusting??? No offense intended to Clay or anyone else who is gay, hate the action not the person, BUT its becoming more and more obvious that America is really catering to and admiring the gay and lesbian community….

With $700 billion of our money being passed off to banks, Bush tearing apart the Constitution as much as he can before he leaves office, and the ongoing Iraq occupation…this is the best we all wring our hands over is the fact that yes, Clay Aiken is gay? Please people. Get a life. There’s more important issues facing our country then some freak from a TV show that need to be addressed.
