David is so freackin’ hot….I just can’t take it. I will say though that I like him better without the guyliner. He has beautiful eyes and they shouldn’t be messed with. He is perfect the way he is. I absolutely love him! I’m crushing BIG TIME! I love the song “Light On”. It’s going to be a great hit for him. I’m hungry for a COOKIE right about now! Mmmmmmm :)

Brilliant song. Though the class of the song is similar to TIME OF MY LIFE. So, let’s hope the next one is something different. Otherwise - he’ll just be ANOTHER idol that won. I had to listen to it a couple times, myself. I do hear that eighties rock thing some have mentioned, but…so what? The song was written by Cornell, wasn’t it? It’s serviceable. Probably do what he needs it to do: get him on the radio. I, too, love his ‘pure’ voice more than an over-processed arrangement–it’s why that coronation song did as it did; the vocals were all David Cook.
People, we may have fell in love with David Cook on AI, but he was jabbing every which way (to use that over-worked boxing analogy), doing what he had to do to WIN. And he won. Now, let the artist develop. I personally like the look he had for Be My Baby, but I’m not going to spaz because he wants to wear guy-liner, or some excited marketing director thinks this is the way to go. Not a big deal.
I’m waiting for the music written (or co-written) by David–full all that passion and verve we picked up on over the airwaves. It’s there. But don’t forget, as winner, he has many contractual constraints on how and what he puts out right now. Give him just a wee small break right now.
David–understand this: You didn’t win by 12 million votes for no reason. Your talent is amazing, and you have a whole legion of fans out here eagerly awaiting your return. Whether you think ‘that AI David’ was the real David Cook, or not, it’s the one we fell in love with–the one we voted our fingers off for, some for the first time ever! We see the genius in you. We see a bright future. We are selfishly wanting just a hint of that butterfly we watched unfold on national TV. Do your thing, but remember that the whole world has left a Light On for you. We’re waiting. Good luck, kid. Tear ‘em up.
I have to be honest, when I first heard this song I only liked it, but it was intriguing enough that I wanted to hear it again. That song turned out to be so catchy and it really grew on me. By the third time of hearing it I loved it!! I love David Cook I have been a fan since he first auditioned last year on A.I, and I continue to stand by as a solid ever-believing fan!! That guy is pure talent and pure heart…. a rare gem and a valuable find!! Oh and that picture, well even the most photographic people can have an unflattering moment. David is gorgeous and ordinarily takes stunning pictures. This was’t his best, but this isn’t his last… he will have plenty more in which will redeem him. Cut the guy some slack, buy his album on November 18th and eat your nasty comments.

I remember watching the deciding Idol show…I was pulling so hard for Cook, I was thrilled when he won, no offense to Archuletta, the kids great in his own way but Cook is awesome…this song is fantastic!! I almost thought it was Hinder…Had to look it up…its GREAT!!

David Cook is definitly an idol and i think this song has something to do with his brother having cancer and how he feels about it. Although i love the song they defintly ruined his hottness! His hair is purple and his facial hair is red! what is with that? Whatever he is amazing and an idol for me… After he got out od idol he lost his control of his looks, these media people are telling him how to dress and look, just let him be himself people! He is amazing all alone
