Daniel Radcliffe is Excellent in Equus

Daniel Radcliffe signs some autographs for fans on opening night for the Broadway play Equus at the Broadhurst Theatre in NYC on Friday.

Equus has opened to mostly positive reviews, with a particular focus on Radcliffe’s performance and his seven-minute nude scene on stage.

The production will run for a limited engagement through February 8th, 2009.

The 19-year-old Harry Potter star took the cover of the October 2008 issue of Details Magazine.

He is NOT European sweetie. He is British. The UK does not regard itself as part of Europe. It cherishes its distance from Europe. How “comfortable” he is with his sexuality neither you nor I can know.

None of us knows that Dan’s sexuality is. We only know what he has chosen to say it is. And he might be lying. He says he likes girls. Do you think he would dare say he DOESN’T like girls? That would bring about a quick and early end to his career. LOL.

Dan didn’t NEED to say he would marry his beefy horseman if he were gay or a woman. He could have kept his mouth shut. The fact that he said all that and publicized it would indicate he wants to stir up speculation about his sexuality. Just as his saying he would like to play a drag queen was a device to stir up speculation. He and his handlers know that speculation about an actor’s sexuality is good business and keeps the attention and the money coming in. Dan may be getting ready to do a gay character in the near future. Paving the way, so to speak.

Daniel is obviously making terrific strides (no pun intended) as an actor If everyone is worried about his needing nudity to be a star Maybe he could try reviving the classic play NIGHT MUST FALL by E. Williams A very challenging role for an actor his age. In the meantime, let the man stretch his acting talents as he will. Too many great actors get typecast and are not allowed to grow.
