Sarah Palin is a Global Initiator
Vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin is spotted leaving after day two of the Clinton Global Initiative which concludes at the Sheraton Hotel in NYC on Friday.
Palin did not address the conference, but was thanked by Bill Clinton for attending. The 44-year-old governor has been in New York for several days, and attended a meeting of the U.N. General Assembly.
After a visit to ground zero in lower Manhattan, Palin spoke about remembering 9/11 and took questions from a few reporters, answering questions related to the war on terror, Iraq, and the financial bailout plan that is before Congress.
Read the transcript and watch the video of Palin speaking with reporters.

susie @ 09/26/2008 at 2:35 pm To #53 and others interested in zombie Republicans: Kathleen Parker, a journalist, was a firm supporter of Sarah Palin, but after hearing her interviews said that Palin should withdraw from the race and use her sons’ care as her reason. If you’re interested, the article is in the September 26 Huffington Post.
***********************************************************
She was never a true supporter of Palin, especially if she is basing her decision on interviews. A supporter of Palin goes deeper than that, and can connect to her values and beliefs. There are more from the Democratic party who are changing sides, because they see there is an extreme corruption already brewing in Obama’s advisory circle.
What a joke. It’s good to see that people are recognizing Palin for the terrible choice she is.
This b**** is NOT ready.

TOO BAD SHE’S CLUELESS:
What people??? OHH!!!..you must be referring to the brainless idiots who think on the same lines such as yourself.
To #76 and #77 - you are exactly the type of people John McCain has decided that he will count on to win this election. People that are dumb and worse of all - they don’t recognize that they are the idiots.
Is 8 years of having an idiot lead our country not enough for all of us? Can you honestly tell me that the country has been a better place since the idiots have voted for another idiot into the presidency based on similar values/morals? Palin is likely to become president if McCain wins since he is not likely to survive his first term due to his age and health history.
Enough is enough - if you are not intelligent enough to recognize that this women does not even remotely have the mental capacity to answer any questions directly using her own views- then you people should stay away from the polls.

your ignorance is showing. It’s obvious from your comment that you’ve never bothered to read the Congressional Record, or the Illinois state voting records.
########
No. Recovering, YOU need to check the facts about Obama’s record. Almost his entire Illinois state senate record ( a part time job, by the way ) was manufactured to give him a record to run on for the US Senate. During the 7th year of Obama’s lackluster 7 year state career, the Illinois senate majority leader, Emil Jones, took dozens of pieces of legislation away from the Illnois state senators who actually wrote those pieces of legislation and fought for them for many years. Because Jones was able to he gave all that legislation to Obama and Obama got credit for legislation he hadn’t written or worked on. Obama continues to this day to take credit for all that work that others did. Jones also channeled all new and publicity attracting legislation to Obama so he would get the headlines. That’s Obama’s Illnois record. That and troubling connections to the very slum landlords and rip off developers whose vistims Obama claimed to want to help.
His US Senate job? Obama started his campaign for president as soon as he got to Washington. It didn’t take much time after to formally launch his campaign going back on his promise not to run for prez during his 1st term. It was as if he wasn’t interested in being a senator at all. His reluctance to participate in crafting and working to get the compromises vital for an acceptable and wise bailout bill during this financial crisis just highlights his unwillingness to master the real work of governing. His handling of the situation just shows his unease with the real bipartisan work of government. I laughed when he suggested that he could handle is by phone. Only someone with little or no experience on the Hill would fail to grasp how much personal presence and personal lobbying is necessary to move a contentious bill like this through congress. By phone indeed! Gie me a break.
Even more troubling is that during Obama’s all too brief time in the US Senate he authored no significant pieces of legislation. Obama is chairman of the European Subcommittee of the power Foreign Relations Committee. He has held NO committee hearings or meetings. He also did not bother to travel to Europe as he should have. Our NATO & EuropeAN ALLIES are essential relationships & within his subcmte’s jurisdiction. He never even bothered to meet with NATO leadership. In essence, Obama squandered his opportunitiy to become educated about a vital part of the world.
People naively mock Palin for her lack of foreign policy experience, but her job as governor didn’t involve bligate her to interact wit heads of state. Nonetheless she has interacted with the important trade representatives of Alaska’s trading partners - South Korea, Russia, Canada, Taiwan, Iceland among other countries. And how naive can one be to ridicule this woman who has worked her way up to become the Governor of Alaska, a huge and compex state facing issues of vital importance in our world and economy. And she had to do that by standing up to her own party and very powerful Alaskan politicians. During her campaign for governor, Palin and her opponent, Frank Murkowski, former long term senator and then governor, held numerous debates and naturally wasn’t expected to hold her own. She more than held her own and beat him.
No successful professional woman would ever ridicule her and what she has accomplished. I disagree with her on many issues and I can still admire her. What I refuse to do howvever is buy into the distortions of her words and record and of her as a person. She is being demonized just as Hillary was demonized. She is being ridiculed for being a woman just as Hillary was. Her voice, her accent, her glasses, her hair, her mothering skills, her clothes, blah blah blah. None of which the men have to put up with.
The misogyny started with Hillary continues unabated. There’s just a fresh target.
We trust male candidates with being good parents. Why is it only females we have the nerve to suggest are neglectful? Every woman should be ashamed of herself for even going there. By the way, the baby is with her on the campaign trail and she is still nursing him. her other children & husband are also with her.
This campaign has been full of lies and distortions. If you are really interested in a very good interview with Palin without any gotcha attitude, go find Maria Bortoromo’s interview of Palin the week before she was chosen by McCain. Just an objective journalist asking questions to find out about Palin and her ideas. She just joined the ticket and she’ll get up to speed in good time. It isn’t as if she’s had 18 months on the campaign trail with 200 experts briefing her at every turn like Obama has.
Vote for whom you make sure you educate yourselves.

in her world there are “good guys” and “bad guys” , just like in the old western films. The only difference between her and Bush is lipstick and a ****.

And you feel the Democratic candidate is ready?? Especially after saying that action must be taken immediately to help resolve the economic crisis, and how this will affect the American people. Then turn around and say that I will be here, and if Washington needs me….they know how to reach me…WTF!!!
Is this who we want for President??? In times of crisis, he will sit there in the oval office, take in the advice from his corrupt body of adivsors……and then go off somewhere to mingle with the laughable HW entertainers that have no business sticking their noses in politics; and say………well….you know where to reach me……
WHAT THE HELL!!!
Why???
Please explain to me why she is doing all this campaigning . . .she is not running for president, but she and the some outlets of the media act as if she is.
Did anyone know who she was before all this???? NO, that should tell you something.
Sure Sarah Palin is painful to watch but MacCain even with almost 30 years of exp. is even more painful to watch, this old dude sold his soul to the diablo , he is confisud and lost.
GOD BLESS AMERICA !
Gov. Palin is excellent.
ACTIONs speak louder than words.
Gov. Palin gave Alaska a sound economy.
Compare that with Wall Steet CEO’s
Journalists & big media & Obama do not like her because
1. She is more successful managing budgets
2. She is moral
3. She need less money to get more votes.
4. She is feared by terrorists & enemies. (Terrorists respect Obama - how scarry is that to us!)
5. Corrupt politicians & beauracrats have no future if she is around.
McCain-Palin
I believe every thing about her is fake. She is a disgrace.
Carl-
As opposed to Barack Obama who is so geniune. We are supposed to believe he sat in church with the hateful Reverend Jeremiah Wright and he never heard him spew the evil hate.
As opposed to Joe Biden and his hairplugs and his phony stories about dodging bullets in Iraq. Ooops. that was Hilary Clinton. Joe Biden dodged bullets in Afghanistan.
As opposed to Michelle Obama who has reaped the rewards of America’s opportunities and she is finally for the first time in her adult life, proud of her country.
Yes, you do prefer the more genuine candidates, don’t you? Ha, what a crock!
Sarah Palin ROCKS!
Hey now, she lives in a state where she’s executive of. Well that’s what and how she told Katie Couric. She cannot even speak properly. She is a freaking JOKE.
And this woman had the audacity to criticize Obama’s “lack of experience“, when it is quite obvious that she cant even answer a simple question coherently enough without rambling on about issues she has no merit to discuss.
If Palin ever bacame president of the U.S. it will surely equal WWIII.
My gosh! She knows nothing! Her interview with Katie was a joke. How can we elect this idiot as our vice president?
The New York news media was rough on Palin but the other citizens of New York elect republican mayors and governors. Palin in is the glue that will elect McCain. Myself and many other Clinton supporters are now for McCain.
I am not surprised that most of the comments are negative because most of the people on the gossip sites are ill informed. Sarah Palin is the epitome of the American dream. She is great and very gutsy/ By the way for those who do not know why she kept on referring that Russia is very close to Alaska is that goegraphicallly Russia is just a neighbor and would be more vulnerable for Russian agrression than the rest of USA. Got it, like what happened to Georgia.
why anything about sarah palin. if you are going to show her, put up things about obama, biden, and mccain as well. what everyone think is so special about this woman i have no idea. do not turn this random woman who knows nothing about politics become a celebrity. aughh
Global initiator??????? her??
-____- !!
yeah right…..
There’s special hell for those women who do not support other women. The way some of you are putting her down is a disgrace. Shame on you and grow up.
That woman, Palin, is a pathological liar, she can’t give an interview without sounding like a 3rd grader, and she’s a simpleton.
ALL THE WAY TO VICTORY, OBAMA!
ALL THE WAY TO VICTORY, OBAMA!
ALL THE WAY TO VICTORY, OBAMA!
ALL THE WAY TO VICTORY, OBAMA!
ALL THE WAY TO VICTORY, OBAMA!
Sarah (simpleton) Palin: “I can see Russia from my house”. So thats her foreign policy experience….The Dummie…hahahahahahahahahahah!
