I have always love Paul Newman and have always thought that he was one of the most sexy and beautiful man in movies… I love him in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Cool Hand Luke.. I loved him in everthing… there will never be another like him.. there is a old move that he and his wife Joann did call On the Terrace.. there was so much chemistery between them I’m so sad at his passing my heart goes out to his family.

rip paul. you were a great actor. so many people love him but he fell in love with woodward on a movie set when he was still married and had children. brad and angie will be vindicated and loved as newman and woodward.

My favorite movies’ of his are the following in no particular order…

1) The Color of Money (a LONG OVERDUE Oscar win)
2) Absence of Malice
3) The Towering Inferno (starring with another “great” Steve McQueen - the 2 of them acting off each other was a treat. Yet, I always got them mixed up because they could have been brothers!)
4) The Sting
5) Butch Cassidy and the Sunshine Kid
6) The Hustler
7) Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

Hell, I was going to say Bullitt - But that was Steve McQueen! See, for some reason I tended to mix them up.

As I said in the previous thread: “My sincere condolences to his family & friends; He will be missed. But what a legacy he’s left us: his movies, his racing endeavors, and his MANY charitable works… He will live on in the many lives he touched - especially camps for sick & dying children (like the one in Seattle)

Paul Newman was a class act, a gentleman, a legend, and icon…and yet he was humble, down to earth, and oozed class. Hollywood stars today could learn a lot from how to behave from this man, his wonderful wife Joanne, and his family Just class all the way.

My favorite film memory of him was Coach Reggie Dunlop in “Slap Shot.” I know, “Hud” and “Butch Cassidy” are going to be the more obvious choices– but he made me laugh in “Slap Shot” and that’s worth a thousand ’serious’ films. I work in hockey and I’ve probably watched the film a hundred times, and it always holds up and makes me smile.

Thank you, Mr. Newman, for making this world a better place. It’ll feel a little more empty now.

Newman and Woodward had class, humility and grace. the other two court the media and have litters. there’s a HUGE difference, my friend.
Please don’t disparage Paul and Joanne ever again.

he was an AMAZING, AMAZING human being. I havn’t even ever seen any of his movies (I should get on that, actually…I’m sure he was an absolutely fantastic actor), but I always have been and always will be a huge supportor of his philanthropic efforts.

He was just as beautiful on the inside as he was on the out, which is saying a friggin LOT :)
