The movie wasn’t a flop it got good reviews and she doesn’t even have a lisp. She doesn’t look like Ellen or Mia. She looks like herself.

movie lover @ 10/08/2008 at 8:12 am

Yes she does have a lisp, Heather. Just watch her in Brokeback. “…Don’t try and fool me no more Ennith, I know what it meanth. ” and “Ennith, it makesth me nervouth not to take no precauthions”. Just watch and you’ll see.

And yes I agree that Wendy and Lucy is a flop. Sounds like a stupid movie. The one she did before that was a flop too -”Deception”. Despite the star power of Hugh Jackman and Ewan McGregor..

Calling her a “mediocre actress” is generous. She’s a BAD actress. I don’t think she has a lisp, I think she just doesn’t deliver her lines very well. I’ve seen Deception also and it’s not just awful, it’s horrendous. She is so bland and has zero chemistry with her co-stars. Poor Hugh Jackman and Ewan McGregor (who are both brilliant actors) tried to save the movie but couldn’t, I mean it’s THAT bad , people.

Everyone just needs to stop feeling sorry for her just because Heath died. Listen, she got LUCKY when she got the part of Alma. She got LUCKY when she lured Heath to her bed. She popped out the kid as fast as she could because she KNEW he had a history of making it with his female co-stars, she was at least the 3rd or 4th one herself. His next leading lady was Sienna Miller (Casanova) and then Abbie Cornish (Candy), both beautiful and way better actresses.

You all wanna feel sorry for her because “oh she lost her baby-daddy, she’s grieving…” Well she left HIM , didn’t she? Because he wouldn’t marry her, for one thing. She gave interviews where she was already calling Heath her ‘husband’. While he gave interviews saying he didn’t need a piece of paper to prove anything. Helllloooo? It’s not rocket science.

As far as her grieving , do you call sitting on Spike Lee’s lap and kissing him with food in her mouth as grieving ? Heath is the one you all should be feeling sorry for, not her.

sorry, I meant to say Spike Jonze, not Spike Lee.

movie lover who cares if she does have a lisp? Many people do. It isn’t a flop, it has gotten rave reviews. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it’s a flop.

move lover, who cares if her last movie was a flop? Not every movie can be a blockbuster.

martin your comment is pathetic. Everything you’re typing about her is not the truth because you don’t even know her. Whether she’s a bad actress or not is your opinion not a fact.

No, she got the part because the director wanted her for it. No luck involved. The director himself even said so. People can feel sorry for whom they want and you have no right to tell them otherwise. Lured him to bed? You obviously know nothing about Heath. He talked about her in interviews and how he fell in love with her on set. Whether you think Abbie and Sienna Miller are better actresses is your opinion. Personally I don’t think Sienna is better than her. Popped her kid as fast as she could? No, they were in love and had a child. How do you know what she knows? You don’t know this woman. Stop typing about these people like you know them.

You don’t know why she left him. They wanted to get married, but obviously the relationship didn’t work out. No rocket science needed.

Sitting on his lap? And where did you see this? No, she had been broken up with Heath for a while. What, is she not allowed to ever date again? She has to move on for her life. Obviously people feel sorry for Heath above everyone but they also feel sorry for her for a good reason.

Mary-Kate can you choose a more inappropriate user name to use? You are disgusting.

It sounds stupid to you, it doesn’t mean it is, movielover.

And why are you saying because only Heath died, Martin? A person dying is enough of a reason to feel sorry for someone.

Mary-kate @ 10/14/2008 at 8:05 pm

Heather, this IS my real name. Actually it’s Mary Katherine, but everyone calls me Mary-Kate. I know , I know, but there is more than one person in the world named Mary-Kate and I happen to like my name.

And who cares what other peoples opinions are? Why don’t YOU stop typing about people that YOU don’t know.

Everyone has different opinions and can write what they want. Stop criticizing people simply because they say something you don’t like. That’s acting childish.

Okay then, my mistake. I thought you were trying to use the name as a joke. I am aware more than one person have Mary-Kate as a name.

I’m not typing about people I don’t know. I only typed the facts that came from the people them self and not a bunch of lies like everyone else. Those comments weren’t even directed at YOU, so why do you care? I’m not criticizing people for their opinion. They were typing LIES, which should be criticized. Has nothing to do with not liking what they are saying.

As for acting childish, no the trolls spreading lies are the ones acting childish.

Pot. Kettle. Black. You’re saying people can type their opinions, well I’m typing my opinion about their comment. Stop being a hypocrite. I can type whatever I want just like anyone else. If you don’t like it, don’t read it. I have a different opinion and I’m typing what I want. Stop criticizing me for what I type. That’s acting childish.

Okay “Heather”, I’m not going to argue with you because you do bring up a couple of good points. I’ll re-phrase - she got LUCKY when Ang Lee wanted her for the part of Alma. Does that make you happy? But he’s the director, what’s he GONNA say? And actually, it makes you wonder how many other actresses turned down the role before it even got offered to her. We know -for a fact- that nearly half of Hollywood turned down the roles of Jack and Ennis, including Matt Damon and Mark Wahlberg, because they were afraid it would hurt their careers.

And you’re probably right about her luring him to her bed, now that I think about it. Actually it wouldn’t have taken much to lure him , would it? We know-for a fact- that he had just broken up with Naomi one month before. We know-for a fact- that Heath was never without a woman. So , let’s see….what’s a guy to do when he’s filming a movie about being gay out in the cold lonely wilderness of Canada? I don’t know, tough call. And yes you’re right they did fall in love on set, but that was my point. He ‘fell in love’ on nearly every set he worked on. Personally, I think he threw around the word ‘love’ a little too flippantly.
So yes at one point (after the child came) it looked like they might get hitched, but they didn’t. So there.

I noticed you wrote that you only type facts from the people themselves, so who are you really? Her mom? Busy Phillips? Or maybe you’re one of those ‘close sources’ we read about in the tabloids. Maybe you do really know her since you keep trying to turn everything around to HER benefit.

Celebrities and their cronies are always trying to deny the obvious…”No I didn’t get a boob job, I had a deviated septum.” “So and so isn’t anorexic , she just has a stomach virus”. Yadda yadda yadda.

No, I don’t know them. I’ve seen interviews with them. I’m going to believe the words out of the people themselves mouths over gossip sites. You’re the one acting like you know her with these accusations. I’m not typing to benefit her, I don’t even know her. I’m typing the truth from the people themselves. It’s pointless to type negative things about complete strangers, anyways.

So, let me get this straight Heather, it’s okay to type POSITIVE things about people we don’t know, but not NEGATIVE things? If that’s what you’re saying, it doesn’t sound very fair does it?

And who gave Wendy&Lucy ‘good reviews’? The critics who were INVITED to the screening? Yeah okay, what are they GONNA say?

But I have to say I seen the trailer for her new movie- Incindiary- and it looks really good. She does a great british accent. Check it out.

I never said it meant you’re allowed to make positive comments. All of comments were facts from the people themselves. It’s only certain people on here that want to start negative rumors about her.

No, not the critics there. I have read many good reviews about the movie. I wasn’t the only one that brought up the good reviews on here.

Hmm… That first part came out wrong. I meant to say that I never said you could only type negative or just positive comments, just truthful ones. All of the comments I typed were from the people themselves not negative gossip. It’s sad that people only want to believe negative things about people.
