Benjamin McKenzie is an LAPD Cop

Former O.C. star Benjamin McKenzie shares a laugh with a costar while filming a new television pilot, LAPD, on Monday along Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, Calif.

In the ensemble cop drama, which follows a group of officers in Los Angeles, Ben, 30, plays a reserved rookie cop.

LAPD is expected to air midseason on NBC and will most likely replace ER (series finale airs February 2009).

Lately, Ben, who spoke at the 2004 Democratic National Convention, has been campaigning for Barack Obama.

im looking forward to this show because Ben is on it and i love him…just wondering, does anyone know if Ben has a love interest in this show?

Go Ben! I’ve been so excited to see him in this role, and back on television! I love the picture in the cop car - it’s strangely different - just used to seeing him with his OC attire.

FINALLY BEN IS OUT THERE!!!! 2 many months without ben on t.v! he never goes out!!!!! finally we’ll see him again on a regular show! lets hope the show is good. I once said that even if he appeared in lame shows Im obligated to see him!
