“Let us keep that promise — that American promise — and in the words of Scripture hold firmly, without wavering, to the hope that we confess.”
#17- that is SUCH a SCARY statement! OMG.
Obama being president is scary. I’d rather Palin president over Obama any day.
Haha Jesse: Don’t vote for OBAMA BIN LYIN! All they do is lieeeee!
LOVE THAT STATEMENT SO MUCH!
MCCAIN/PALIN 2008!
Palin is a complete idiot. Come, on people! Were we watching the same debate? She was so phony and condescending throughout, and talked herself in circles. She didn’t actually answer her questions, just droned on about Alaska and being mayor, and “maverick” and blah blah blah.
Biden, on the other hand, was true class. He knew his stuff, and always had evidence to support his points. He was able to answer the questions clearly and concisely, and came across as being a true statesmen. He also did a terrific job hammering away at McCain. Furthermore, for all of Palin’s bragging about being a “hockey mom” or whatever, it is Biden who seems to me to have the more genuine family connection; I really felt for him when he choked up remembering his wife and daughter.
It’s abundantly clear to me that Biden ate Palin for breakfast in this debate. Only a neocon could think otherwise.
#133 it doesn’t mattr how sarah answered I’m not voting for vice president…and at this point I’d love if it were palin/mccain I’d vote for her any day for president …I think the point we are trying to make is …that ANYONE but obama is a good candidate …obama will ruin us!!! You liberals are blind and always flock to who your little celebrities are promoting …well guess what I’m not voting for someone because fuckinnn oprah told me to !
Mccain/palin 08!!!!
To Littlebitz: Are you kidding?!? I mean, be serious here. Biden clearly did not eat Palin. I mean, if you didn’t watch the debate and said that I would understand but she totally held her own out there and did a quite amazing job.
And, All Biden did was stare down and away from the camera and talk to Gwen. And I really don’t care what Gwen thinks. He never even had the guts to look at the camera. Palin stared at the camera, to the American people, the whole time.
sorry to break it to you we’re not sore loosers. what we republicans hate is the liberal belief that we have to pay for our neighbor’s food, clothing, homes, health care and education. but hey; i and my friends/family are more than prepared for an obama win. see, we’ve spent the last 12 months getting all of our money out of the united states. we’ve sold off our houses/condos and made arrangements with our employers to be transferred out of the country.
my parents have bought property in another country where they’ve had their money transferred to. my brothers/sisters have all followed. my friends and i are busy buying condos in other cities outside the united states where we’re being transferred to. guess what, we aren’t only ones. you’d be surprised how many others are doing the same thing.
we’ll stay gone as long as obama remains in power.
I think the new NBC spoof of the debate says it all. Sarah is easy to mock because she has too many weaknesses. It’s one thing to be able to connect to all those “hockey mums and Joe 6 packs” (which I think is quite insulting, but that’s a separate issue) - which is what she calls “the average American”, but it’s another thing to have an “Average American” as she says she is, ruling the country.
If this were the case we could all go rule the country.
I think she would be a great candidate in a few years time - she has the right attitude which is a big part of it. But right now it scares me that she could have so much power.
Hats off to how she managed to turn every question she clearly didn’t have a clue how to answer, into a question she did. “Yeah, but I still wanna talk about the oil companies” “well I am still not finished on the taxes”…
I don’t give a rat’s ass if Sarah Palin grew up middle class or poor like I did….she isn’t NOW. She and her husband make over $200K together. Anyone who has access to a MANSION is not POOR, for God’s sake. So for her to act like she feels our pain NOW is ridiculous and a load of crap. Joe Biden grew up poor too but he clearly said that he has a good life now and does not try to act like he can relate to how I feel. WAKE UP people..and open your EYES. Why do you care about how well you can relate to a politician anyway…you aren’t going to sit and drink a beer with them. You aren’t going to be BFF’s. Oh and to Jesse-#119…maybe you should actually read something once in while so you would know that Sarah Palin did NOT win every poll. She won on being more likeable…yeah, like this is some sort of freaking popularity contest…this isn’t American Idol…this is about our COUNTRY. Sarah Palin is a joke and anyone who thinks she is otherwise is a joke too.
BOOOOOOOOORING!!
the only reason i watched it was because my teacher made us do homework on it. i dont get why i need to know anything about this stuff at my age…
KR:
I don’t agree with you about the how Palin doesn’t have enough experience. I think she is ready and I like how she tries to relate to everyone. It makes her unique and I like that about her.
But, I have to say that if Obama were a little more experienced, I wouldn’t mind having him as our next president. He is very smart but I just would like it to be a couple more years till he is actually president. The fact is that he just hasn’t had a lot of executive work like being in charge of a big state, as a governor has to do. It just worries me that he is not experienced enough.
