i read on one blog that the french paps were asking zac and vanessa when they were going to get married. but no one mentioned that the paps had asked any questions about their relationship. or any questions about ashley. where did rumor start?

Good morning everyone!! Interesting discussions about the French press, interviews, etc.!!

I have to agree that DIsney leans on them majorly! But they do have to understand, when they are asked the questions, they aren’t the kind of people to be rude. They have BOTH been very sweet in all their interviews, and have impressed me with their maturity and poise. Maybe DISNEY ought to make it clear BEFORE the interview starts, what is allowed to be discussed. And NOT put Zac and Vanessa in the situation.

I have to say, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Vanessa’s dress, and again, her hair!!! This trip is like watching a sweet little catterpillar bloom into a stunning butterfly…….she REALLY looks gorgeous.

Sorry to burst your bubble, I was first a fan of Zac from HS before HSM and watched the HS promo with his co-star. Body language is VERY different. I never for once thought that he and his HS co-star were anything more than casual friends.

I don’t need any of their history to know that he and Vanessa are a long time couple. The signs are subtle but glaring to those who have had lovers and been in serious relationships.

My observation: Having been happily married to my high school sweetheart for longer than I can remember till he passed away recently, I see a young couple, not perfect at all, but wise beyond their years, devoted to each other and discrete.

They have the right kind of values and have the makings of a great lifetime relationship but NOBODY knows what the future holds for them not even them.

Yes, a lot of relationships in their industry does not last but a few have lasted. It just makes me sad to see the glee and delight people take in hoping that they break up. Are there not enough broken relationships and pain to satisfy you all in hollywood?

I agree that there is too much pressure on them all round, from fans, media, the public and the industry but I think they’ve both been handling it well so far and it will get better when they move on to individual projects as their public appearances would be solo and they get to choose when they appear publicly as a couple as in Palm Springs.

It must be hellish being an on-screen couple and trying to keep your off-screen relationship private. Hopefully, the media scrutiny would lessen on their relationship when they start having varied on-screen pairings. That has been true of most relationships that have lasted in hollywood. As soon as they are into the relationship, they rarely co-star in movies.

I don’t know what the future holds for them but I hope they hold on to what they have, it is rare and beautiful. I hope they move on to individual roles that are less sensational that will get them recognition in the industry but make them less popular amongst younger people and take them out of the whole teenage range.

I think they need to get smaller to get better, perhaps then non-fans would lose interest in them, teenagers would find them boring and they can get on with their lives and keep their sanity.

Everyone craves for love but are determined to destroy it wherever they find it. It’s really sad that kids are growing up with this mentality.

#219 Sorry to hear about your Sweetheart. Thanks for sharing. Why do people have to disbelieve in young love maturing and lasting? There have been so many sucessful young love stories as shared by our posters on JJ. My take is that it had to happen in Movieland and therefore would not last. Well, I pray and hope Zac and Vanessa will prove them wrong and I just wish them all the best in their relationship.
