Most of the online reviews say the food is okay but very overpriced. You could get as good elsewhere for half. Jakeypoo has a fixation on Italian food, since his “best friend” Chris is or was a chef in an Italian restaurant. I always thought Italian food is what would-be sophisticates think is “fine food” while real sophisticates prefer French. Italian food is popular with many Hollywood phony sophisticates. Usually at least one of such a couple of friends is married by that age. If they both continue single into their early 30s I would say the gay case is very much strengthened. Yes there are very nice Italian dishes, including pizza, a food evidently that existed in ancient Rome. Spaghetti and other pasta dishes are fine too, but they are all easier to make than French food with its complex sauces. Pasta of course is simplicity itself. I remember going to Europe on an Italian ship years ago. One of passengers was an old Italian woman. She always sent the pasta back to the kitchen if it had any complicated sauce on it. She ate noodles or spaghetti with only olive oil and a sprinkle of Paremsan cheese on top. Anything more was a heresy. Classic, simple, peasant food was her taste. Chinese too like to eat just noodles with almost nothing on them.. And French have been known to eat just bread.

You should start with the PBS DVD entitled From Jesus to Christ that details the early history of the Chruch including the life of Jesus. It is first rate and by first rate scholars. You don’t have to believe in the divinity of Jesus to enjoy knowing how his Jewish sect developed into the early Chruch. I am Catholic but also I can’t help to think that something can be wrong with certain things. This is not the right place to talk about a subject like abortion but I am glad that you made this point, it’s always interesting to know different opinions.
My point about abortion, as a young woman, is that nobody can or would take it easy. It’s a very tragic, extreme choice. If you do that, you must have a very valid reason and living every single day of your life with the consequences.
That said, I know that sometimes a woman does have a good reason. But it is important that abortion isn’t considered as an alternative to contraception. If a woman gets pregnant after making love with someone, she should just accept the consequences, too. When you are responsible of a life or a potential life that is grewing into you, you can’t just be so selfish and stop that life for futile reason. A baby is always a great gift and, in this sense, we should recognize life the importance it deserves.

On the contrarious, I am not against sex (safe sex) outside marriage. I know that if I follow a religion I should take every rule of it, but that’s such a personal thing, a private and beautiful thing (beautiful meant as pure, when there is love between two people) that I think it’s not mean to do that. It’s difficult to me explaining something like this, sorry if I am not 100% clear.

Roman Church is not bad as you perceive it, actually. It is founded on values like love, respect, peace. People who makes the Chuch sometimes (often, in the past, you are right) does not always follow those values, but that’s the way it should be.
Tollerance is a word which was forgotten too many times in the past, we forget it even now, but it’s not only a problem of religion. It turns out to be a problem of respect of human life, again, a problem of hate for the “difference”, and it doesn’t come necessary from religion.

It seems like you are a sort of nazi even if you are referring to the First World War…Please think again to all the tragedies the whole world has suffered in the past century, and how much of it was due to the nazi regime.
