Of course Western universities originated in medieval Italy (Bologna being the first). So what? Does that mean everybody who goes to university must be Roman Catholic? Silly idea. At present the top universities in the world are all NOT Catholic. The top four are Harvard, Yale, Oxford and Cambridge. All located in nations where Catholics are a minority.

PS Jake’s parents are selling one of their homes; I have not heard of any divorce. Why I don’t know. Maybe they need the money. The family is not poor but I don’t think it is very rich either. Lower upper class Americans. America has six classes: upper-upper; lower-upper; upper middle, lower middle; and well perhaps just five because below lower middle everybody is just “working class”. Jake comes from a lower upper class family. Heath Ledger’s family in Australia was upper middle, I would guess. Neither came from the lower classes. Jake has two years of university at a top US university and his sister had four years there and a degree. Both are a cut above most people in Hollywood.
Jakey doesn’t seem very aggressive in finding women for himself. Dunst was found for him by his sister; Witherspoon went after Jake, I would guess. He seems basically passive re women. A bit odd. I wonder if Witherspoon’s masculine ambition and drive will drive him away, as I suspect it did Ryan. Extremely successful women tend to drive normal men away; they don’t like to be castrated.

I don’t quite agree that there is no middle class. There is a middle class everywhere. Some places it is more prominent in other places less. But incomes and classes are a continuum from the bottom to the top. In some places the only groups that are very visible are the very rich and the very poor. India or Russia would be examples, but that does not mean there is not a middle class.

Let ’s read the enciclopedia and you wil see that the University was be founded in Middle Age. The Sorbonne would be founded by King of France Saint Louis, Luis IX and his confessor!!! France was the first country whose had University because in Middle Age this country had lot of money. France was in Middle Age the powerst country of Europe!
I Middle Age every country of Europa were catholic.

I haven’t fixation in Catholic Church. You said that the christianism is crazy etc…Them I gave some example that lot of things that you use at present …would be invented by the “crazy” Catholic Church…There are more For example a priest called Mendel discover the law of genetic etc…

Ivana, Jakeypoo is addicted to Italian food, like many in Hollywood. I think movie stars like Italian food because it is easy to make and not very complicated and they expect life to be easy since their jobs are very very easy. Most Hollywood types don’t have to expertise or patience to do French cuisine. I was surprised however that he went to Cipriani’s in London since there are many better Italian restaurants there.

Well i don’t believe that Jake is gay, but his friend sure looks suspicious.. :-))) He was seen only with Jake not with girl, but after all, he is not famous, tabloids have no reason to write about his life, so we don’t know anything….

Who doesn’t love Italian food all sort of pizzas and pasta, especially pasta with tuna… you sad yummy…. we said njam..:-))))
European food not only Italian is healthy… American must throw away all those sorts of hot dogs, hamburgers, i am not say totally, but fruits, vegetables and fish especially white make miracle in digestion….

American food isn’t health and heve bad taste too!
They use mustard as seasoning in everything they cook including the bread of fast food. When I visit USA at first time I losed weight 8 kilos.
The se cond time I was there I had run away to chinese restaurant…
The chinese food is the healthier!
I have never seem a fat chinese in my life!

Ivana, well whether or not Jakey is gay is not at all clear, I admit. But the fact that both he and his best friend are still single at age 27/28 makes one wonder. Usually at least one of such a couple of friends is married by that age. If they both continue single into their early 30s I would say the gay case is very much strengthened. Yes there are very nice Italian dishes, including pizza, a food evidently that existed in ancient Rome. Spaghetti and other pasta dishes are fine too, but they are all easier to make than French food with its complex sauces. Pasta of course is simplicity itself. I remember going to Europe on an Italian ship years ago. One of passengers was an old Italian woman. She always sent the pasta back to the kitchen if it had any complicated sauce on it. She ate noodles or spaghetti with only olive oil and a sprinkle of Paremsan cheese on top. Anything more was a heresy. Classic, simple, peasant food was her taste. Chinese too like to eat just noodles with almost nothing on them.. And French have been known to eat just bread.
