Nicole Kidman - “Elle” November 2008
Nicole Kidman graces the November 2008 cover of Elle’s Annual Women in Hollywood Issue. The 41-year-old new mom dishes about living in Nashville with country-singer-husband, Keith Urban, being a new mom to baby Sunday and her upcoming film, Australia.
The Moulin Rouge actress co-stars with Hugh Jackman in Australia. The Baz Luhrmann-directed film is set in pre-World War II Australia, revolves around an English aristocrat who inherits a sprawling ranch reluctantly pacts with a stock-man in order to protect her new property from a takeover plot. The film is to be released November 26th.
The issue also honors actress-director Jane Fonda and Halle Berry.

What’s she being honored for? Being the biggest waste of money for the last two years. Putting out the most flops in a 5 year period. Maybe she ’s being honored for holding the record for most botox injected into a human being. Person who requires the most airbrushing to make a magazine cover. Maybe she’s being honored for being smart enough to hook up with Tom Cruise so she could marry a career. One thing she’s not being honored for is talent,because she doesn’t have any of that.

They honored her because she is the most important actress in the world, because she a free woman who does what she wants and she doesn’t ask the permission to anyone. She’s indipendent, her movies are beautiful and they’re hits, because she’s a GREAT GREAT GREAT actress and because she’s GREAT GREAT GREAT woman.

Nicole deserves this award, exactly she should already get few years ago..i think it’s already late, but…she looks good in this production, i hope she shines tomorrow!
Nicole is absolutly a graceful woman…Love the green chiffon dress on her. By the way, Shirley Mclain, who worked with her in Bewitched, will present the award to her….Madamme Shirley have been mentioning many times that Nicole is her favorite actress…i agree completly!
Altough Nicole looks amazing, i think the production is too simple…the cover hasn’t anything special, and the dresses aren’t to beautiful too…
I respect others opinion but if there is a woman in Hollywood who deserves this type of awards is Nicole Kidman, besides Meryl Streep and Cate Blanchett.
Nicole is an amazing actress, she did some wrong steps (i only remember Stepford Wives and Bewithced) as everyone, she takes high risks making small independent projects like Fur, Dogville, Margot at the Weeding, Birth…in all these movies she had amazing performances! but the problem is that people in generall don’t see them, they prefer to see rubish movies as High Scholl Music, Wanted, Hancook….she represents the true art!
you can say she is ugly, too thin, botoxed, etc….but you can’t say she isn’t an amazing actress because she really is!

mimmie - you obviously don’t read Forbes magazine - she is the most overpaid actress in Hollywood because her last three movies have been total flops. For every $1 Kidman made, the production companis made $1. That’s a disgrace, and they only went back the last three movies. All of her movies in the last five years have been box office flops - I don’t know where you are reading that they are hits. She’s a one-dimensional actress. You see the same character in every role she has been in.
The pictures are lovely. But who is in them? That doesn’t look like the Nicole Kidman I’ve seen lately in photos. The photoshop dude must have made overtime on these.
Unfortunately, she has altered her face to the point of distraction. She used to be stunning. These photos are of someone who doesn’t exist anymore. This Nicole Kidman is the figment of someone’s over active imagination. But they are beautiful. It just isn’t reality.

Hostasm i don’t care what Forbes says….they talk about numbers, i’m talking about talent! many actors don’t have talent buy they are hits at box office: Jennifer Aniston, Will Ferrel, Julia Roberts, Adam Sendler…do you know what i mean??small indie films never get box office hits, altough Margot at the Weeding was very good…for me if a film is a box office hit doen’t mean the actors involve are good, and vice-versa…
and i never said the films were great at box office, you’re obsviously didn’t read carefully my post, i wrote that her performances were great!! COMPLETLY DIFFERENT THINK! and by the way i will not continue losing my time with you, because it’s clear for me you didn’t see any of these movies i talked about, or maybe you don’t understand a thing about acting…
and someone already said motherwood put Nic even more beautiful.she shines! i love her hair like this!
The production is really poor, Elle can make better, and Nicole is such a stunning lady, they could do much better…
