Katie Holmes keeps her locks under wraps with a chic silk head scarf in New York City on Sunday afternoon. The 29-year-old actress also rocked a fashionable pair of Tod’s Lulu booties in black calfskin.
Earlier today, Katie, who was seen returning to her Big Apple apartment, ate brunch at Alice’s Tea Cup with her parents, Martin and Kathleen Holmes, Tom Cruise’s mother Mary Lee and the kids — Suri, Connor and Isabella.

She looks like one of the ultra orthodox women from Brooklyn.
Seems like there are alot of well-groomed people with impeccable tast who visit this site - I am sure they also have perfect figures and perfect spouses and perfect children.
It must feel very good to be so much above every one else in the world.
I guess it makes them feel good.
It’s hard to tell if she’s trying desperately to be fashion-foward and is failing, or if she’s going through a belated rebellious “non-conformist” phase which is sympotmatic of feelings of powerlessness in relation to her (alleged) unhappy marraige.

Yes, I did notice that. Her outfit strikes me as quite ascetic too. But no doubt I am reading too much into it.

Most of us don’t have perfect figures, hundreds of millions of dollars at our disposal for clothes and accessories or perfect children and spouses. HOWEVER, most of us wouldn’t trade our lives to be married to that twerpy little dweeb Tom or our children for Suri AND THE MAJORITY of US wouldn’t go outside in that babushka. If our hair was dirty like hers appears to be, we would either wash it before going out or hope no one noticed as we ran our errands! We wouldn’t be running around town in that ridiculous head piece.
And specific to her, it emphasizes she didn’t wash her hair, her big ears, and she doesn’t look good with her hair off her face.

I actually like the scarf , it has a cool vibe. I don’t care if she is “coping” someone else or not .Don’t we all just copy a look we like? We all look at designer fashions and purses etc. and then go out and buy it or at least something in our budget that is similar. So really we are all coping everyone. There are very few real individuals left.

What a hypocrite Katie is? She doesn’t believe in God yet she’s wearing a cross just to get publicity. What a snake she is. Eventually, she’ll wake up when Tom dumps her and beg God’s forgiveness (hopefully).
God does forgive but the public doesn’t. Just ask Tom.
