Daniel Craig Pays Tribute To Ian Fleming
Daniel Craig continues to sport his arm sling at the “The Story Of James Bond: A Tribute To Ian Fleming” tribute event in London Palladium on Sunday night. (Fleming is creator of the famous fictional secret agent James Bond.)
Girlfriend Satsuki Mitchell, who got dolled up in a chic Burberry Prorsum coat, stayed on the 40-year-old British actor’s other arm.
Craig refused to say how he got the three-week-old injury but his spokeswoman revealed the 007 star underwent a shoulder operation several weeks ago.
The Quantum of Solace is the 22nd Bond movie and is due out on Halloween — October 31!

Don’t think Sats would leave Daniel for any reason. She knows he is her Meal Ticket. She would have been long gone after his affair with Sienna but she forgave him because she 1) really loves him or 2) just wants his money or maybe 3) all of the above. I don’t blame her.
maybe satsuki has ambitions to direct and is using her time with dan to make as many contacts as possible
an affair with sienna miller *shudders* would daniel really sleep with a woman who will open her legs up to any man who happens to walk down the street.

dont think satsuki has plans to direct, if she did who would hire her. she has little experience in anything as far as i can tell. anyway, satsuki is staying with daniel for the same reason many women stay with men who have cheated. it’s called emotional investment. and of course she loves him and then there is the money issue. the bad result for daniel is that it has made satsuki very insecure. she glares at every girl/woman, regardless of age, as a potential “enemy” out to steal daniel away from her.

Is that another person on the other side standing up - it looks like someone wearing a white dress - possibly Sats?
i mentioned to someone, who more than knows, that satsuki is the one for daniel. she’s here to stay. this person just laughed. when i asked what was so funny he said that this is exactly what everyone said about daniel and heike. she was introduced to daniel’s parents, daughter, ex-wife; the whole deal. but gues what??? this person says that until daniel and satsuki are married nothing is for certain.

Well, dl, Daniel was with Heike for about 7 years? Him and Sats are about half way there and I would assume that the stress is far greater in their case. Guess we’ll have to see how their relationship holds up.

Very interesting, Tiger… and that goes a long way to explaining their relationship. Well, I’m back to being neutral on Sats and Dan, and their “relationship”. I was actually feeling sorry for her.
She (or at least I hope she) understands what all this means, esp if she looking at marriage down the road. It will be “OPEN” and I would hope for her own sanity she’ll somehow make that arrangement mutual - but maybe Dan would not allow it. Shame, but you make your bed you have to sleep in it. I guess as long as she follows rules and doesn’t overstep her boundaries the perks are well worth it.

I agree, I think he and Sats spend time away from each other on regular intervals..weekends, and I know he takes trips sometimes with some male friends.
I’m taking this from what I’ve gleaned from stories and what a few other people have told me not from knowing him.
Maybe that’s how they make it work. She gives him space and he misses her then.
Satsuki seems as if she has it worked out. I think Daniel is someone you don’t push into doing anything.

The dynamics of their relationship are interesting. They do seem a bit off towards each other sometimes which leads me to believe they blow hot and cold with each other. Compare the FOAF red carpet to Ian Fleming one. She is either beaming or looks a bit “pissed off”.
He looks less happier on the carpet than he has done. He seems to just smile enough but not more.
I guess on top of the usual relationship problems, they have the media to deal with.
Maybe it’s Satsuki who doesn’t want to marry yet until she feels certain.
We are assuming it’s him because of this “give him space but I’ll wait for him” thing….

i don’t think satsuki is completly submissive, maybe she tries to gain some power back through guilt / manipulation? After all she seems to have a lot of expensive designer bags, in CR set pics she has a Birkin.
she is not likely to leave him as she has no income and accommadation of her own. it will be him who ends the relationship.
stylewise shes similar to cruise robot katie holmes, she tries, but has no natural sense or taste for clothes.

what the anonymous friend of daniel’s forgot to mention is that part of “freedom” includes the company of other women; and not necessarily platonic. whether satsuki likes it or not. all she can do is hope and pray that he will continue to come back to her.
for the record; daniel and satsuki aren’t the only ones to have this kind of understanding. you’d be surprised how many in the industry do. i guess the partners accept this as a condition of the relationship.

I think Daniel holds the reins on the physical and comittment side of this but I think Satsuki does her own fair share of pulling the emotional strings.

Having freedom in a relationship doesn’t mean that someone is sleeping with other people. There is no proof that Daniel is enjoying the company of other female, to put it politely!!
