Daniel Craig Pays Tribute To Ian Fleming

Daniel Craig continues to sport his arm sling at the “The Story Of James Bond: A Tribute To Ian Fleming” tribute event in London Palladium on Sunday night. (Fleming is creator of the famous fictional secret agent James Bond.)

Girlfriend Satsuki Mitchell, who got dolled up in a chic Burberry Prorsum coat, stayed on the 40-year-old British actor’s other arm.

Craig refused to say how he got the three-week-old injury but his spokeswoman revealed the 007 star underwent a shoulder operation several weeks ago.

The Quantum of Solace is the 22nd Bond movie and is due out on Halloween — October 31!

To Baffled
Why shouldn’t someone defend her?? I’m not getting upset i’m just trying to get my point across like the rest of you, it just happens to be a different point to the rest of you.

KittyDuran @ 10/08/2008 at 9:20 am

Main Entry: devil’s advocate
Function: noun
Etymology: translation of New Latin advocatus diaboli
Date: 1760
1 : a Roman Catholic official whose duty is to examine critically the evidence on which a demand for beatification or canonization rests
2 : a person who champions the less accepted cause for the sake of argument

Tiger… your answer on #151 is more true than playing devil’s advocate. To be a devil’s advocate is to take an argument, even if its against your own POV, and defend it. I’ve done this before on other boards on the internet and have taken my lumps. :(

You obviously love Daniel (don’t we all) and do not want to find fault with him or his decisions. And one of his biggest decisions he’s made, other than taking on the Bond role, is choosing Sats as his partner. So if you cannot find fault with Daniel or anything about him then you cannot find fault with Sats. That’s making it very simple, but that’s the way it seems.

You defense is almost family/motherly in fashion which is really great and I’ve said before that Dan and Sats need to hire you as a PR person because you’re always looking for silver lining.

Kitty i’m not saying Daniel and Satsuki don’t have faults, i’m sure they have plenty. I just can’t make judgements about someone i haven’t met or just on hearsay.
People on here make out Satsuki is a vile, cold hearted, gold digging, obsessive, nasty piece of work. Well maybe she is, i honestly don’t know. I just can’t see Daniel being with someone so nasty and vile it doesn’t make sense. Surely friends and family would have stepped in to warn him. He’s introduced her to his daughter and they probably have a relathionship, maybe a good one, why would he do that if she is so vile and a nasty piece of work. Nothing seems to make sense.

KittyDuran @ 10/08/2008 at 9:54 am

The only problem I have with Sats is her style - which can sometimes be extremely off. I’ve never met her or Daniel… and probably never will so I try to refrain in making personality judgments.

tigerlily,
it could be that satsuki behaves one way in front of daniel’s family and another way in front of other people. it happens all the time. personally, i dont know her so i can’t really judge anything except what she wears. which, i have to tell you is sometimes really gross.

Kitty, maybe Satsuki could hire you as her stylist!! Just think with me as the PR person, you as the stylist she would be the most popular woman in the world!! lol! ; )

http://www.net-a-porter.com/product/35494

this is the nearest i came to finding the trenchcoat..whatever, her coat must of cost a fair buck.

the nearest is the lowry bag.

Kitty

The distance from there car to the entrance of the Palladium is very short, so why wear a coat and cover up a dress that would have looked better in the photos (one assumes).

Not only does she have zero style, she does not have any common sense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

to kitty, tiger and lou @ 10/08/2008 at 10:54 am

i believe her dress was burberry too, the whole outfit must of been expensive in dollars.

nice life if you can get it

i think she wanted to show off her v expensive coat as it is a limited edition of the fall season…that’s not a coat you want to hide. she kept it on until she sat down inside.

KittyDuran @ 10/08/2008 at 10:58 am

#157… thanks for the link…
Tho’ her coat doesn’t look velvet - the style is similar.

KittyDuran @ 10/08/2008 at 11:00 am

To Poster 158…

I’ll need to see the video again… but was it raining or misty there in London Sunday night? I’m trying to remember, but I thought I saw a few umbrellas - but I could be confusing another video.

Either way, you have a point - the dress might have been better to display.

Does anybody know what her dress was like under the coat?? Was there any pics?? I liked her coat by the way, very unusual and different i like anything thats a bit different.

to kitty, tiger and lou @ 10/08/2008 at 11:15 am

no it wasnt velvet, it was silk blend..but i couldnt find nything nearer but im sure the price was similar!

It was fairly cold Sunday night in London.

the cream dress was fairly simple, nothing to write home about.

KittyDuran @ 10/08/2008 at 11:19 am

To #164…

If it was sleeveless - then having a coat over it just was common sense - especially if they had to pose for the photogs.

Maybe Mr Craig could help this fund out ?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1073334/Desperate-plea-400-000-save-Launch-102–surviving-Dunkirk-boat.html

I had family members included in this and it would be shame if no-one helps out. know he helped the RNLI out at one point.

If anyone knows how to contact Mr Craig, maybe pass this on?

Thanks!

i always thought that the coat should be long enough to cover the hem of the dress, but then i’m no stylist. satsuki should have one. with the amount of money daniel has he can afford one for her.; a good one. when he gets one the stylist should be on his permanent payroll so she can make sure that satsuki doesnt look like a mess going out the door. i say he because i dont think this girl has a job other than being his girlfriend and constant companion. it’s pretty obvious that daniel is supporting her.

I would say he is Mary.

I’m sure she “pays” her way in one form or another.

As said above, nice life if you can get it..

Back to the “Real World” for us.

Gofer to (potentially) Hello’s Most Elegant Woman of the Year in just over 4 years.

Got to hand it to her…

KittyDuran @ 10/08/2008 at 12:36 pm

To 169…

With a 2 year old photo no less… Got to hand it to her, indeed!!!

;)

KittyDuran @ 10/08/2008 at 2:30 pm

To Mary #167…

You have a point (and my Mom sez you’re right) but these days anything goes for fashion. But IMHO a coat should cover the dress (unless it’s a formal length) - if you don’t have one then go to a jacket to wear.

to 168:
you would think that satsuki would get a job so that she doesnt have to rely on daniel for the money all the time. i mean, what happens, god forbid, if those two break up. i dont think daniel would be willilng to support her for the rest of her life. then where will she be. it’d be kind of difficult to convince someone to hire you if you dont have a up to date work history. she could put producer; but what has she produced.

to 171:
your mom and my mom should get together. they agree. my mom says that having a coat not long enough to cover the dress is simply not elegant. it’s sloppy and shows no sense of style

KittyDuran @ 10/08/2008 at 3:21 pm

to Mary 172:

My Mom wasn’t so harsh… she just said that seeing the dress hem takes away from the coat - or that it distracts too much from both the coat and the dress underneath.

mary:

being with Daniel IS her work history. by meeting all the people she meets and with all the film contacts/experience exposure she is getting by being with him every single day on the sets/travelling, this ensures she will have something to fall back on if they do.
She has now been on sets and exposed to such great directors as Spielberg/Zwick/Campbell and now Forster.

also people will remmeber her from being with him so to a point, she will be a “celeb” of some kind.

to 173
my mom is kind of harsh but i guess that’s because she worked for chanel in paris as a seamstress for 10 years. she was taught by the best in the business. one of the first lessons she had to learn was that what is fashionable and what is elegant are not necessarily the same thing. mom says that satsuki should look at jacki o, audrey hepburn and catherine denuve to see what elegance is. satsuki could do it.
