Since Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans and Southeast Louisiana has been the surrogate home to more than just a few movie stars.

For some, the attraction to the city proved so strong during shooting, they actually took up residence. Case in point, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Other’s, having figured out long ago that New Orleans is the place to be, have been living here off and on for some time, Bob Dylan, John Goodman, Martin Scorsese, Laurence Fishburne, Trent Reznor, Emeril Lagase, Patricia Clarkson, Mary Matalin and James Carville just for starters. Add to that an equally exhaustive list of actors coming in and out of the city to film, and it’s no wonder why we’re called “Hollywood South.”

OT: Halle Berry named Sexiest Woman alive. Go Halle, over 40 and doing it. Subtle is in. No ass and crotch show to appear sexy just timeless beauty like Angie and Hallie. Sorry whiny’s fans.

BTW - did anyone else see the pix of Halle & Nic Kidman at the Women in HW awards thing last night? I never realized Halle was so short. That and I know, to quote Naomi, that “black don’t crack” but Halle at 42 looks about 10 years younger than Nicole at 41. And I know I’m always making fun of X for being the Queen of Tanning, but Nic needs to spend some time outdoors! That milky white complexion makes her look half dead.

Maybe it’s just me, but some of Shi’s facial expressions in these new photos remind me of Brad in BAR. I guess it’s that wide-eyed, mouth open look of innocent discovery.

Did anybody see E News and their coverage of The Changeling RC at NYFF plus their behind-the-scenes look at movie last night? Jason Kennedy’s behind-the-scenes piece was actually very good and gave us more footage of the film.

Cliniqua - If you’re still online, ET did show B&A at NYFF. It was their lead story. Actually from ET’s footage you can tell Brad was giving Angie a quick kiss to the side of her face as opposed to whispering in her ear.

Contrary to what this Melanie poster want us to believe, Angie’s actions all the years she has been with Brad as a family speak louder than words. She’s hardly working but her career is so hot that she chooses to take more than a year off and be a full time mother. Brad said to Larry King last December that the best gift he can give his children is having Angie as their mother.
The images of Brad and Angie at the The Changeling premiere at the NYFF show a couple deeply in love and committed to each other in the ways they look at each other’s eyes, in the so many ways they hold and touch each other. Angie’s demeanor redefines beautiful and ravising with serenity and happiness.
In my own opinion, Brad and Angie share a profound love that they are fortunate and grateful to have and they seem to nurture it by being together inseperably and working at it everyday as 100% gauranteed by Brad.

Angelina ‘proud’ of Changeling

Angelina Jolie has revealed that she’s proud of her work in the Clint Eastwood-directed film, Changeling.

“I never like to watch myself ever,” she admitted to MTV.com.

“I still haven’t seen Wanted. I heard it was fun. I feel like I did something right if I can watch something and feel removed enough. I can watch this movie. I’m proud of this. I think it’s a really beautiful film. You’d have to ask Brad, but I think he likes this one.”

In the movie based on true-life events, Angelina plays a mother whose life falls to pieces after her son disappears. While the mother-of-six is no stranger to difficult roles such as A Mighty Heart, she admitted that she had initial reservations about the part.

“Reading the script made me want to stay as far from it as possible, because I didn’t want to think about anything happening to my children,” she revealed.

“I didn’t want to have those scenes. But I couldn’t forget it. I found myself telling people the story of the script.”

The 33-year-old added: “And obviously, the chance to work with (director Clint) Eastwood was something I always wanted. I guessed, and guessed right that he would help me through this. I want to be directed by him again.”
