Ohhhhhkayyyyyyyyy…. Just wait 10 years when she is used to determining her fate. I think Drew Barrymore might be a great example of just that.

As a parent… when it is weather that requires you as a grown up to wear warm clothes then that is what the child needs as well. If you pack up all the summer clothes then the child has NO choice but to select a warmer outfit. Also, leggings are pretty tough for the toddler to strip out of..

Just is beyond my imagination that a parent, any parent let’s their two year old tell them what she will or wont do… JUST LAZY parenting. The easiest thing to do is let the 2 year old do what she wants. The hardest thing is to actually apply parenting skills.

Suri should really be dressed warmer! Poor girl- it’s unfathomable how any parent could let their 2 year old child decide whats good for them if that’s the motto Tom and Katie have. Who knows.

And cut her bangs, please. Suri’s a cutie, but her eyes are always covered up by her long bangs. She’s a child…she’s supposed to see things, but it always seems like her eyes are practically covered. Don’t know what thats all about…

Would you take a two year old outside in 56 degree weather wearing nothing but a sleeveless dress and shoes with no socks? Would you let a two year old stay up till all hours and set her own bedtime? Suri is going to have some serious problems down the line being stuck with two self-centered parents who carry her around like a stuffed doll without any concern for her feelings or her needs. She needs to be put on an appropriate schedule for her age, play with other children her age, and dress appropriately for her age. I don’t care how rich or how famous they are, these two are bad parents.

I feel so bad for this little girl. I’m sure that the cameras and the constant crowds are enough to terrify her. Bless her heart, she’s just a little girl who doesn’t understand that she’s a “celebrity baby”. It would overwhelm anyone, especially a kid.

I do think it’s odd that she’s constantly dressed up and sleeveless, often shoeless. I have a friend who practices Scientology and her four year old is still in diapers and sucks a bottle and tells his parents when his bedtime is and what he will and won’t wear. It’s because they treat them like adults in a child’s body. I can’t judge that, I’ve never tried it with my own kids, but I think it’s a parent’s job to set rules and guildelines and enforce a schedule. Kids need a routine to be happy and healthy.

But the negativity blasted at this little girl is just too much.

Agree with the inappropriate clothes in chilly weather. It’s no just this post–it’s all of them. Almost 3 yr. olds shouldn’t rule. Kids learn a sense of security and self-worth when limits are set. Plus they learn social skills, like fair-play and sharing, when allowed to mingle with other children. All the couture sundresses and designer mary janes that money can buy aren’t going to make Suri feel special. Without anything else, they’re simply going to make her feel odd. Sad.

Boogie there is no definitive answer as to whether cold weather and being cold increases the chance of catching a cold. Yes germsvirus are ultimately the cause of catching a cold, but, being cold has been argued to affect the lungs which allows germs to incubate more easily. There are a variety of articles that go back and forth on the subject and while many doctors say being cold has nothing to do with catching a cold…. more and more studies and articles are now being released that show that being cold(nasal cavity and lungs) both change and allow us to receive germs more easily. Some viruses survive and replicate better in cold weather. Also, there is a possibility that very cold weather could interrupt some of the lungs’ natural defenses against infection.

So with that being said, why take the chance. It has long been said by are parents and their parents that you should dress warmly or you will catch a cold…and now more scientific studies are coming out to prove that.

Outside of the cold issue, why allow your 2 year old to run the roost. Why not teach her that with different seasons there are different types of clothes you wear. AND that blanket needs to go as a replacement for proper clothing.

I think the best way to end this debate is to show pictures of regular kids of Suri’s age in NYC yesterday wearing atleast long sleeved clothing. Perhaps Suri doesnt feel cold at all.

okay, if the child has an issue with jackets, there is still something called “long sleeves” and I’m pretty sure dresses come with them.

My baby sis hated socks growing up and her daugther didn’t like them either. My sister was always alert that my niece didn’t throw her shoes and socks off in stores and on streets. Many times someone would call her and hand a shoe and sock to her because my niece had decided 15 minutes with shoes and socks on was enough. The first thing they would do is take their shoes and socks off the minute they walked into the house. They still do this! There would be no way in hell that she would go out without socks and just her shoes in Autumn/Winter. I don’t give a toss what she said or wanted — she WAS wearing socks and that’s that!! If it’s a hot day, OK, but it’s getting cool in New York and a child should have socks on.

TO ” DANCER “…I wondered about the car seat issue myself… Pictures NEVER show a carseat through the Cult Mobile Car, and They obviously do not take their time to do this while the camera’s are flashing….JUST MAYBE, they fasten her in AFTER they get in and shut the door….On the coat issue AGAIN, we can NEVER fasten our granddaughters harness’s while they are wearing a big coat, because it does not fit right…AND, the manufactuer states, NOT to let ” heavy coats, or blankets “, get in the way from a proper fasten….IF, ours require a coat, we warm up the car first, and carry them out in sweaters or wrapped in a blanket, then put them in their seats…AND, put their coat on when we reach our destination..They would overheat, if we had them bundled them up like that in the car, since children are like little heaters to begin with….Even I cannot stand to sit in a car for any amount of time without yanking off my coat………..I was reading post’s a couple of weeks ago, on http://www.celebitchy.com, when another poster said they ” saw a carseat AND a jacket ( yellow and red ), laying on the backseat of the S.U.V., when the Cruises emerged at a restaurant, and left the car door open, for the bodyguard to apparently shut behind them”…..The jacket was small and obviously Suri’s, with butterflys on the sleeve and bottom trim…….So, maybe they DO carry jackets and sweaters, who knows for sure!..I don’t know about you DANCER, but this dress, socks, coat and blanket and shoes issue’s are getting old…..Why can’t we move on?..Bella and Connnor seem to be perfectly fine and normal, so i would think Suri will be also.
