OlderHeidi Montag’s Apology to Lauren Conrad
On Monday’s episode of The Hills, Heidi Montag penned an apology note to former BFF Lauren Conrad. Lauren’s coworker and pal Whitney Port, who’s getting her own spin-off series, read the note aloud:
“I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am about everything. I’m so sorry for every negative or hurtful comment I’ve ever said. That is not how I feel or who I am. I think you are a great person and I will always cherish our memories. Thank you for everything you have ever done for me. I really wish things hadn’t turned out this way but I take responsibility. This whole thing has also been really hard for me.

Lauren basically says she can never be friends with Heidi as long as Heidi’s boyfriend Spencer Pratt is around. Later in the episode, Spencer gets angry after he finds out that Heidi apologized to Lauren without his knowing.

yeah, how could anyone take this show seriously. it is so boring. and no one likes their life to be an open book so i find the whole thing weird.
eh- if i were heidi i wouldn’t even be trying to be lauren’s friend again. lauren is always so bossy to all of her friends and tells them who they can date and who they can’t. it’s ridiculous. and i think this whole writing an apology to lauren thing was fake. producers probably came up with it and told heidi to do it because lately on the show it’s been the same old storyline 5000 times. they probably wanted to change it up a bit, told heidi what to write, and that was that. new drama. heidi- give up on lauren and start making new friends! they’re are other people out there u know!

Yes i think that Heidi’s apologie is sincere, because she’s truly sorry about everything and I kind of feel that she’s starting to doubt about choosing her realtionship with Spencer over her friendship with Lauren, cause Spencer’s treating her family with no respect and is just really mean to everybody.

honestly, I watched the show once and I thought it was pointless and ******. WTF?? I have to admit, I think Heidi is doing a good thing by apologizing to Lauren. She seems to be really sincere. And Spencer really has no right getting mad at her for no reason. If I could tell him something, it would be “GET A MOTHERF**KING LIFE!” He really needs one. And Lauren has every right not to like him, cause I don’t like him either, but I don’t think it’s a reason for her to not be friends with Heidi anymore.

I’ve had a friend who didn’t approve of my boyfriend and I was in that same situation and didn’t want to see that my friend was right about the guy being a loser. And we stopped being friends for a while but after I saw what she did, I dumped him and went right back into my friendship.
I think it was sincere in the sense that, like both keep saying, you always miss a best friend. But it’s really difficult to view anything that Heidi and Spencer do as sincere when they already admitted that in the past, they created fights just for TV purposes. This could be one of those fake-arguments that was planned in advance, including the letter.
LC, doesn’t realize that Brody, Stephen, and Jason called her beefcakes and Spencer just repeated it. LC needs to cut her ties from Brody, but she always craves his presence.

I feel sorry for Heidi, she has done everything to try and get her friendship back on track with LC, and LC is being completely immature about the whole thing and just being mean to Heidi.
As other ppl have said and i have said before on past threads there is a reason that LC looses all her friends, it’s her because she is controlling and addicted to drama and brings everyone down.

Oh please. Friendships die all the time - you are friends with someone for a period of your life, you change, they change - it’s nobody’s fault. Lauren is just honest about it - if it’s done, it’s done. She’s tried hard, but you have to call it a day sometimes.
In Heidi’s case, her relationship with Spencer is 100% to blame - but she CHOSE Spencer, so it says a lot about what she needs right now. He is VERY controlling of her - could you imagine anyone speaking to your mom like he spoke to Heidi’s mom? Has he heard of respect??
Heidi’s letter was sincere, but she’s being controlled and manipulated and doesn’t know what to do. I feel awful for her - it’s an abusive situation and she needs to get out. Someday she will and she’ll see how destructive this relationship has been to her and those who love her.
I think Heidi feels bad/lonely, but I don’t understand how she isn’t seeing things the way they are. I get it for a regular person, but for her to have it plastered on tv in front of her of her to re-watch (so basically it’s slapping her in the face) and she still can’t see it? By being with him Heidi is condoning that behavior, so in my eyes in makes her guilty by association…So while I think she was sincere in her letter to Lauren, I also think she is brainwashed by Spencer and afraid of him, but also showing signs of wanting back her old life. I don’t see why Lauren’s high expectations of the people she surrounds herself with is a bad thing or means she controls them. Heidi lets Spencer RUN her life! She is one of those girls who is afraid to be ALONE so she lets some jerk boss her around treat her family and friends like crap. Heidi had a huge career opportunity with Bolthouse in Vegas, Spencer told her to come home, so she did. Spencer is SO rude to Heidi’s mom and sister and Heidi gets mad for like a second and then turns around the next day and acts like nothing happened!!!

I think that Heidi was being sincere when she wrote the letter, and I think that both Lauren and Heidi want to be friends, but can’t because of Spencer. Spencer is controlling Heidi’s relationship, and he has pushed all her friends away from her. I think she needs to dump this loser. He is only bringing her down. He should not talk to her family like that. He is just so rude. He needs to get a life. Hopefully Heidi will dump Spencer, and Lauren and Heidi can become friends again. Also I think that Lauren shouldn’t have cut off her friendship from Heidi just because she didn’t like the guy that her best friend was dating. I think Lauren sometimes gets in the way of her friends relationships to the point where she pushes her own friends away. She needs to stop being so immature about things.
