Hilary Duff Releases “That’s So Gay” PSA
Hilary Duff loves the gays!
The Duffster, 21, has teamed up with The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) to create a campaign in which the term “that’s so gay” is used casually in an effort to help teens recognize that their anti-LGBT language is harmful. Watch the video below!
Comedian Wanda Sykes also has a PSA coming out soon about this.

Seriously people… You guys should listen to Hilary Duff, and not use that word. Unless you actually gay, then your not allowed to use that word. Just like black people are only allowed to use the “N” word, gay people are only allowed to use the word gay, and the “F” word. That Video is so GAY. IF you don’t understand what I mean, I think it is STUPID. If it was someone saying “That is so Christian” everyone would just be peachey with it. Everyone needs to stop being so politically correct with everything. These days I feel I just have to check and make sure I am breathing and walking correctly as not to offend anyone. Oh, and # 33. Don’t compare using the N word to using the word “gay”. Blacks went thru 400+ years of slavery, continued segregation, and coninually inferiority. Even today when they claim there’s “EQUAL Rights to all”.
No comparison here! Even today it’s as though they are more accepted than blacks, and that hurts my soul and I’m hardly black.
Let them fight the way blacks fought, the way blacks are still fighting! Freedom doesn’t come with sitting on ur ass. It takes a Revolution! And, that’s something you have to fight for.
You know what else, I want to see people out there campaigning for Natives/Aboriginals, how about that!? We’re living on their lands and we seem to forget.

I can’t believe what everyone has said here. Sure there are “bigger” issues going on the world right now, but what have you guys done about it? At least she is trying to bring light to something she cares about. And it is offensive, “gay” shouldn’t be used as an insult or derogative word. Just like racial slurs should NOT be used.
I agree Vanessa people here are so stupid it’s quite sad this isn’t the only charity she’s involved with or has been involved with in the past she has several of charities this one seems to be very important to her and you guys don’t see the difference she’s trying to make it’s quite sad and it shows how fucked up our society is right now

gay can refer to gay people, being happy, or stupid things.

People tell me I curse like a sailor. Does that mean that is offensive to sailors. Perhaps saying, “you drink like a fish” is offensive to fish. Or saying, “I don’t want a black car” is racist and offensive to black people….even though I’m only talking about a car and NOT a person. She said the dress looked gay. I think Hillary looks so gay. Now….you can take that in which ever way you want to receive it, but you don’t know exactly how I entended it to be heard.

I have a lot of gay friends and honestly i heard them say “thats so gay!” too because sometimes its funny. I dont see where the big deal is. Now, if the ad was against discimination and insults towards gay community in a way heavier way (which unfortunately still happen today), I’d be pleased to support Hilary’s effort.
