Katie & Suri: Matching Hermes Bags!

Katie Holmes and 2-year-old daughter Suri walk down New York City’s Madison Avenue on Thursday afternoon with their matching orange Hermes shopping bags. A big orange bag for Katie and a mini version for Suri!

In September 2007, Angelina Jolie and daughter Zahara, then also 2-years-old, toted around matching white Valentino braided leather shoulder bags.

Both adorable mother-daughter duos!!!

I agree w/everyone above, Suri is far too old to still be in diapers. I was potty trained at about 1. My mom always said if a child can walk, then they can walk to the toilet!!!

RE: 32

Dear Hevenly,

If your children’s diapers were never covered, the rest of us are not weird.

You’re just lower class and ignorant of that fact.

i dont think that suri is to old to be in diapers most of the pediatricians think that the kid is ready to be potty training until they have between 1 1/2 and 3 1/2 before the child hits the 4 yeard is the normal age to be potty training and left the diapers.i just think that people is being to critic about that little girl.

about the bottle issue i think suri is a little old to have a bottle but every parent make his mistake and maybe they have a difficult time taking his bottle.

besides nobody has the right to CRITICISM the way that tom and kate and raising suri after all is his daugther and they know what they are doing.

the only think i don’t like is that poor little girl is always always being persecuted by this papparazzis and does not seem to like it. For a baby of 2 1 / 2 years old is too much attention and an invasion of their privacy.

Beyond Beautiful

OH my gosh !!!!!!!! She is the most beautiful girl in the world !!!!!!!!!!! Suri we Love you !!!!!

AGREE ” KIKA “, NUMBER # 78… My granddaughter will be 4 years old in December, and we STILL have to do pull-ups at night…We had a complete physical done, and her pediatrician said ALL children are different emotionally, and that her mind has not yet related bladder problems at night….( you know what I mean LOL )….She is such a sound sleeper, and the mind and bladder have not connected and “caught up”, with each other….AND, her parents and me are NOT selfish and lazy…We are trying a reward system and just now have been getting her up, several times at night to pee….Her nap times are still an issue also, but this week she had 3 dry panties….The Pediatrician told us not to buy pull-ups anymore and just let her pee..Hopefully she will hate the feeling and stop……………..If you other parents who said that yours was trained at 2 and a half or 2 years old, that is great, but not all children are the same……………..Suri is moved around alot, and has people in her face 24/7 everytime she goes outside, and that is emotionally damaging also…..She WILL get used to her ” not so normal life “, and adjust……………I can’t imagine her starting school in a diaper or pull-up….Katie and Tom have some short-comings, and so do I, but most of the time they are very loving and devoted parents…..She needs a haircut and a bang trim, for sure, and Katie’s clothes have drastically changed since last year, and Tom is still involved in the Church of The Science Fiction and Evil, but that is the way Xenu crumbles. Can’t we cut that precious child some slack?…………….AND JARED, ARE YOU GOING TO SEND ME TO SEE KATIES PLAY?….YOU ARE RICH FOR SURE, I’M BROKE…LOL, LOL

talking about potty training……my first son was easily trained at 2 years. My second son trained himself…I guess by watching his older brother …so, he was already potty trained before 2.

All we did was buy a little training potty and set it right next to the toliet. He started sitting on it with his clothes on. As time went on- he figured it out and of course he got a lot of praise and M& M candies too, lol

Both are just beautiful! I think Suri would be even more beautiful, and be able to see, if her bangs were shorter!

i think katie and tom are of the opinion that suri should decide when she is ready to be potty trained. my sister-in-law is just like these two. some people have this very strange belief that a child should be potty trained only when the child decides. to do otherwise is to the destroy the kid’s sense of self; what ever that means. also what are bloomers because i’ve never heard that term before.

I really don’t see the big deal about the diaper. Suri is only 2 1/2 . I worked in daycare when I was young , and there were many kids that had a hard time at the age of three not having accidents.

My boys were all trained between 2 and 2 1/2 , not because I was to lazy to do it when they were 18 months. They were just not ready. In the grand scheme of life whether a baby was trained at 18 months or 2-3 , it doesn’t really matter. It’s not like its a subject ever brought up again in their life. I mean at college they all don’t sit around and discuss when they were potty trained and whose parents were better at it.

Suri looks cute and happy , thats all that really matters.

You are dead wrong. I have four children, a grandchild, many nieces and nephews and friends with children. Children are NOT still in diapers at Suri’s age. Children are wearing little training pants at the age Suri.

ONLY LAZINESS, on the part of the parent, IS THE REASON, when you see a child of that age still in diapers.

Glad I’m not the only one who is bothered by the diaper hanging out. For God’s sake, that dress was probably no less than $200 and she can’t even bother to cover the diaper. Gross!

Katie and that child both look like something is missing. They almost always look like they are lost in space.

denise in nj @ 10/09/2008 at 9:56 pm

Listen, my daughter was almost 3 when she was fully potty trained. She wasn’t earlier because she refuse. Any doctor will tell you not to push them or they just won;t go…

Exactly. It is pure laziness on the parents part, when a child that old is still in diapers.

Perhaps Tom and Katie are leaving it up to Suri when she should stop wearing diapers, and stop sucking on a bottle. How sad.

I feel for that child, money is not everything, but good grounding is everything. And it looks like this child is making her own life decisions many years before she is able to do so. Parents have a role, and that role is to make decisions for children, because children are to immature and do not have the life experience to make decisions for themselves. Otherwise they would be on a baby bottle and diapers when they get in school.

A real Mom @ 10/09/2008 at 6:45 pm

I don’t know any kids potty trained before the age of 2. Sorry “real mom” but having your kid tdo their poopies on newspapers in the corner doesn’t count.

grandma @ 10/09/2008 at 9:52 pm

Hey grandma, get your bifocals on, I did mention pull ups.

again, I will tell you white trash who claim their kids were potty trained before the age of 2….

laying newspapers on the floor or having your sweet little dumpling take a poop in the back yard doesn’t count as potty trained.

Katies too busy obsessing on what Suri wears to get down to the hard business of trianing her to go potty. Lazy mom

It looks like Suri seriously needs a diaper change. Her diaper looks LOADED. Why doesn’t Katie put some bloomers, shorts, or leggings on her?? The diaper really looks so tacky.
—Time to potty train! She’s at that age.

beautiful family and I can look at their pics again and again

Well, they have matching purses, maybe they have matching diapers, too.

Suri is adorable, there is no denying it- however, she looks spoiled as hell. Wait until she’s older, she’ll be another Paris Hilton.

Oh, and Angelina’s Zahara is disgusting. Katie and Suri look cuter together, lol.

Her reward will be in heaven for being a wonderful soul…..
cute baby this Suri is….

Why do you believe ANY of what a tabloid says, #72? And don’t you find it suspicious that they could know all the private thoughts and feelings…of a 2 year-old?

But what makes you think it’s Holmes’ and not her daughter that decides when to potty train her, #73?

Right, #75 and #78.

But why do you think that, #84? Silly tabloid stories about their Scientology beliefs?

Thank you, #85!

Everyone is different, #86. There’s no point in comparing and wagging fingers.

And it’s pretty sad that any of you are bothered by that at all, #87. As if there aren’t worse problems in the world.

It’s their money. Let them worry about it.

There’s nothing to back up the idea that TomKat are letting Suri Cruise make the decisions except for a few tabloid articles and your own personal prejudices against, #91.

Or maybe she just doesn’t feel it’s time yet, #94?

Because they don’t feel like it, #95.

TomKat will decide at what age she should be potty trained and not you.

HOW does a person LOOK spoiled and why do you think she’ll be another Paris Hilton, #98.
