OlderTaylor Swift & Joe Jonas Split
Taylor Swift and Joe Jonas called it quits earlier this month, Us Weekly reported earlier today.
The 19-year-old Jonas Brother apparently broke up with the 18-year-old teen country superstar over the phone in early October after dating for several months.
Says the insider: “He broke her heart.”
Her MySpace page even confirms this. Taylor crossed out the description of her prince charming, which seems to perfectly describe her ex-boyfriend:
“I’ve never been the kind of girl who needs a boyfriend. Plus, guys don’t ask me out because they know I’ll write songs about them. But I’m also the girl who still believes prince charming exists somewhere out there– fully equipped with great hair and an immature sense of humor.”
Sounds like Joe is the reason for the teardrops on her guitar!

Team Taylor! Joe apparently wrote the song “Much Better” about her, and it’s just sickening how mean he is. there is obvious malicious intent in these lyrics alone: “I get a rep for breakin’ hearts/ Now I’m done with Super Stars/ And all the tears on her guitar/ I’m not bitter/ Now I see /Everything I’d ever need /Is the girl in front of me /She’s Much Better.” I think this is terrible. I mean, yeah she wrote “Forever and Always” about him, but she’s not so direct or hurtful. I can’t believe Joe would dis Taylor and compliment a new gf ( perhaps Camilla Belle?) in the same song! At least Taylor’s taking time to get over it, not rebounding. People seem to be taking Joe’s side in this because they love him and such, not seeing the real evidence in front of them. If rumors are true, he broke up with her over the phone, which is cheap. If you are going to break up with your girlfriend, find time to do it yourself, in person! Taylor has every right to be hurt and angry. I feel so bad for her. Joe doesn’t need to go write a song about her. Taylor’s song is full of hurt; his is full of revenge. I don’t like it. Team Taylor all the way! I love Taylor, but I have nothing against the Jonas’ either. Until now, that is. Shameful Joe, shameful. Even if the dumped over phone and Camilla Belle rumors are just rumors, It doesn’t change the song he wrote about her.
