OlderTaylor Swift & Joe Jonas Split
Taylor Swift and Joe Jonas called it quits earlier this month, Us Weekly reported earlier today.
The 19-year-old Jonas Brother apparently broke up with the 18-year-old teen country superstar over the phone in early October after dating for several months.
Says the insider: “He broke her heart.”
Her MySpace page even confirms this. Taylor crossed out the description of her prince charming, which seems to perfectly describe her ex-boyfriend:
“I’ve never been the kind of girl who needs a boyfriend. Plus, guys don’t ask me out because they know I’ll write songs about them. But I’m also the girl who still believes prince charming exists somewhere out there– fully equipped with great hair and an immature sense of humor.”
Sounds like Joe is the reason for the teardrops on her guitar!

Like, forreal. I’ve never liked her, she seems so dopey and confused. But it’s sad, because I guess it really hurts to break up with someone you love.
i umm… i’m just saying, that if this whole broke up, or even the whole dating issue, is true, i’m 100% sure the whole ‘by phone’ is a false truth. i mean everytime somebody says that ppl borke up, it’s ALWAYS by phone or somth… and i really hope, that whatever is going on, both Taylor and Joe (will be/are) okay.
Wow! That seems kinda harsh. But I’m sure he had good reasons for breaking up with her. I mean come on they are all doing their own thing and they don’t have time for a relationship. I mean face to face would have been better, but at least it wasn’t over a text or one of his brothers telling her.
I’m gonna go ahead and stay Switzerland for the moment.

This is what teenage relationships are for, peeps. And breaking up over the phone isn’t a big deal. All 3 Jonases have said they have done it before, in interviews. It all depends how it was done, I guess…and we will never know that!
