OlderAngelina Jolie Backs Barack Obama?
Angelina Jolie opens up to the German edition of Vanity Fair about everything from politics to her newborn twins. Here are some choice quotes via Us Weekly:
On why she could be voting for Barack Obama: “Obama is fighting for international justice, he wants to intervene militarily in genocides abroad, and he wants to close down Guantanamo Bay. They are things which could move me to vote for him, not his roots. Of course, an American president like Barack Obama would be great for my family but would not be a reason to vote for someone.” (On Monday, Brad carried a notebook with a Obama sticker on it.)
On why she’s proud of the USA: “I am very proud of being American, and all my children have got American passports. For me, our family is just what America is - a melting pot, a mixture of many different races and nations. My children should be proud of their Asian and African roots, but that in no way means [is] a lack of respect for the fact that they and their parents are Americans.”
On her twins Knox and Vivienne (3-months-old on Sunday): “It’s a damned arduous business, and we are often simply whacked out because it is twice as hard with two babies as with one. But it also makes for double the fun. After we flew back from Europe, we were all suffering a bit from jetlag. We were all in bed early, but at half past four, they were awake and making a real racket… Brad took care of them. He said to me, ‘Go back to sleep, you’re back to work in the morning,’ and moved into the kids’ room with them. He is an astounding father, full of devotion… [Knox and Vivienne] have quite similar, stable rhythms. Every three hours they get hungry, then I have to satisfy them. But that’s OK, the two of them are totally sweet. When you see them, you think they were made for each other. They laugh together, they sniff each other, touch each other. It is beautiful.”
On struggling to find alone time with Brad: “Sometimes, at the end of the day, we try to retire to the bathroom to be undisturbed,” she says. “But then [the kids] hear the water running and want to come in and, yet again, we are all together. But that doesn’t disturb us because they are great kids.”
On how fame has changed motherhood for her: “I would like to have more freedom, especially to have the chance to be more spontaneous with my kids. Would I like to be able to walk through the streets with my kids? Of course. Would I like to be able to wander around Manhattan and buy them an ice cream like other mothers? Of course. But it is not possible. On the other hand, every morning I wake up with the people who are the most dear to me in the whole world. That’s why I don’t feel isolated from that, which is important to me. It helps, of course, that Brad knows all about it, but he’s experienced it even more than me. We often talk about it and try to make the best of things. But I am very grateful for our life and everything that we have.”

I didn’t like the picture quality. The few pix I saw they were cute because of the subject but I think a better photographer could have made the same pix look better. I’m sure he’ll probably get his ass kissed for the pix but It would have been cute if he went with it as a father taking snaps of his kids and lady but instead he took it too far by trying to make it extremely arty . It falls short in my opinion. trying a little too hard there.

NO!! NO!!!
This was a false item planted by the X’er and Huvane. IMDB prints wrong info all the time. It is not reliable.
No way VV would get less than her. Remember VV used her for the publicity as it was VV’S PRODUCTION COMPANY AND SHE HELPED HIM MAKE $$$. VV has several new movies he is cast in and the X’er is not in any of them.
This lie was thrown out because the only role she has lately is the 30 Rock guest spot, and she and Huvane are trolling for a role for her. Tina Fay is very smart and used her to get more viewers for 30 Rock like she has used lots of guests on that show.
Problem for the X’er is that neither Management or Traveller has a distributor, and she has not one project at her supposed production company that has been greenlit (funded).
Being a tab pity sob queen is not opening the door to movie roles or funding it seems. I am surprised as she has been seen with several producers. Maybe if she would put up some of her own money as seed money she could get things going. But one of her characteristics cited by many is that she will not venture outside her comfort zone and does the same thing over and over.
X’er is going to promote the hel* out of the dog movie. Look for her to be everywhere in December.

Obviously you haven’t bothered to read the previous pages of posts where many, many posters commented on the thread heading and that it was misleading.
I didn’t like the picture quality. The few pix I saw they were cute because of the subject but I think a better photographer could have made the same pix look better. Ohmygawd did anyone watch E? I know. I wore a string of garlic and a cross while I watched them. But they had more pictures from the W shoot. They are gonna show them on the Daily 10 in a few minutes. This magazine will sell a million. There is a really, really precious one of Z wearing Angie’s high heels and Angie’s wide brim hat.
The pictures are beautiful. They are not glossies, and they were not meant to be.
Senior, do you live in NY? Do you ever shop at Thriftway? I love that store. My daughter and I went there the other day. I bought stuff to make her some of her favorite dishes before I left.

That is true! I didn’t know, until I saw the part about McCain’s wife during the convention that she has made about 50 humanitarian trips, has started many medical support programs (I must watch that tape again), is a pilot, and also brought a Bangladeshi orphan home from Mother Theresa’s orphanage. They call her Bridget, and she is now 17. So yes, Angie is very much like Cindy McCain. In fact, I think her father said it too.

And if you couple Terd’s conniption with Peecrust’s passive-aggressive crack about how the pics looked professionally lit, you know these pics will be a huge talking point. And the pics were pretty awesome. The spread is supposed to be 28 pages, but they showed about five pics - I’m not sure which one I liked the most. I liked the Z pic playing around in Angelina’s heels and hat or the pic of Maddox and Angelina, which brings back her Inside the Actor’s Studio Q & A when she said her most favorite thing to hear is Maddox in the midst of a laughing jag.

You get the feeling he tried way too hard this time, a professional would have done a much better job.
The topless pic is the worse one. Angelina’s expression is just painful, how that shot is supposed to be hot or good? I have no clue.
You look that picture and think that this woman is forced to get naked and she’s having a hard coping.
The pictures are beautiful and BP is getting raves for his photography. AJ is seen as role model for young mothers and a promoter of breastfeeding. The photographs are artsy for the W “Art” Magazine.

If you read the article deep, (it’s in German) it’s pretty clear that she is an Obama supporter but she will never announce who’s she’s supporting because of Celebrity Backlash and she won’t endorse any political figures because of her nature of work/humanity efforts.

Where does it say that she will vote OBAMA? All I see are a bunch of could’ve’s . She could be supporting McCain too. Why is Lies Weekly quoting another magazine? Why can’t we get the direct quotes from the Vanity Fair magazine directly? This is becoming stupid Jared. Using the third hand quotes of a tabloid instead of giving the original source the credit is annoying.
I am still mystified as to why she did this so soon after the babies and why Brad would be okay with doing this so soon after the babies. I wonder if she regrets it now.
Considering Brad will have nothing to do with US weekly, I wouldn’t trust anything from them even if they were supposedly quoting another magazine. I’d rather a German fan interpret the article than trust US to do it.
My parents have been married almost 50 years. There have been numerous times that they have voted for different people. So just because Brad is supporting Obama does not mean Angelina is. Angelina has said numerous times that when they do argue, it is over politics. It does not matter who she votes and does not matter if she tells us. The Jp’s attract all type of poeople. You do not have to be a liberal to like them . I don’t see why it is hard for some to believe that humanitarian activities appeal to many people from all spectrum of political beliefs.

ITA. Politics is personal, however to say that Palin has more experience than Obama is stupid. Palin’s own staffer said she is not intellectually curious and paints a picture that she does not seem very bright but is a skilled politician. I pray to God MCcain doesn’t win for the mere fact that she acts like she doesn’t have a clue. Take time to look at her interview with Katie Couric and Charles Gibson. I was ashamed to be a woman. I really want a woman in a powerful position and I was initially excited by her but I’m am now concerned by McCain’s pick as vp. Now all they do is spew negative attacks against Obama, when people are having problems making ends meet. I don’t get into political or religious discussions too often because people are so passionate about it but we can disagree and keep it civil.
