OlderAngelina Jolie’s W Magazine Photo Spread Revealed
W Magazine has published a bunch of the photos of Angelina Jolie and the kids, as photographed by longtime partner Brad Pitt. You can view them at WMagazine.com. (You have to click through the eight slides in the Flash slideshow.) Here are some choice excerpts from the cover article:
– Every family has its unique rites of passage, those generational milestones that mark a child’s growth and remind parents of their own similar experiences, years earlier. In the Jolie-Pitt household, one such event is the day a kid begins collecting daggers. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s seven-year-old son, Maddox, like many boys his age, has lately developed a fondness for guns and knives, and Jolie proudly notes that the predilection runs in the family. “My mom took me to buy my first daggers when I was 11 or 12,” she recalls. “And I’ve already bought Maddox some things. We take him to a special shop.” She emphasizes that the knife blades are dulled so they’re not dangerous, and that the purchases are accompanied by discussions about violence. But, she says, “we also talk about samurais and about the idea of defending someone as good. We talk about everything.”
– If Jolie has a favorite possession, she says, it’s the overstuffed Tumi case that holds the family’s travel documents: Vietnamese, Namibian, Ethiopian, French and American passports, plus her own UN credentials.
– The Jolie-Pitt bedroom, of course, remains off-limits to journalists. And sometimes even to kids, Jolie declares. “The kids do knock before entering,” she says. “We’ve at least got that part down. Because Mommy and Daddy need some space.”

I dont like the pics. jolie looks anorexic and unhealthy. i mean she has a pretty face but her body just doesnt look healthy. never has in my opinion.

It was more than being on committee groups, it was an arranged fund raising event(s) for Obama held at their at their Hyde Park home. As a candidate for a serious government office, Obama and his advisors would have known who they were and the potential implications of their past to an elected official and impact on his constituency. Just because individuals have higher education and professional degrees doesn’t vindicate a violent reckless past that included being responsible for innocent death and they have no remorse for the death they caused.
It is also not unusual for the University community to accept and be tolerant of extreme idealism…that has been their general premise as part of “learning and education”…but this should not be construed as a green-light to glorify them.
He may be respected for his work but as a person Ayres is not as respected and distinguished as you imply. He is tolerated by many and has been rejected from participating in many educational forums because of his current day advocacy of violence as part of his political discourse.
Who the hell lets there 7 year old play with guns and knives??? I don’t care if she gives them “lectures” before handing them weapons but that is SERIOUSLY SOOOOO WRONGGGG!!!

Best of the New York Film Festival

From missing children to toppled regimes to jittery driver’s ed, this year’s 46th New York Film Festival pulled out the big guns, in its very “New York” way, blending American and foreign, mainstream and indie into one tasty smorgasboard.
But let’s face it, the main dish steals the show when the likes of a beaming Angelina Jolie and beau Brad Pitt walk the red carpet to join the festivities–with Angie making her first public outing since birthing the twins. Go gurl!
While cameras flashed off the hook for Mlle Jolie–who headlines Clint Eastwood’s buzz drama the Changeling–NYFF screenings, premieres and events have also continued to usher in the riveting talents of: Benicio Del Toro, Michelle Williams, Mickey Rourke, Amy Ryan, Marisa Tomei, Steven Soderbergh, to name a few.
Hollywood.com’s been workin’ it at the ongoing Fest which promises, again, to deliver a sneak peek at the hottest upcoming fall releases and Oscar hopefuls. Come, partake–here are a few standouts that caught our eye:
Changeling
Landing in Theaters: October 31
Who’s in It: Angelina Jolie, Amy Ryan, John Malkovich, Jeffrey Donovan
Who Directed It: Clint Eastwood
What’s It about: Los Angeles,1928: A true story about a single mother, telephone operator (Angelina Jolie), who descends into a nightmare, when her son vanishes from their suburban home. An exhaustive, fruitless search ensues, entangling her in a swirl of LAPD corruption, when officials insist on passing-off another boy as her still M.I.A. son.
What You’ll Love: Jolie’s quiet, simmering anger that builds into a crescendo over the police corruption that she confronts is matched by Eastwood’s slow, confident build in presenting a period-specific, provocative story.
Clint Eastwood Says: “I didn’t know too much about the [kidnapping] incident and I was surprised that I hadn’t heard about it because it was such an unusual event in L.A., which historically has had a lot of crazy situations; but this one–I didn’t know anything until I read the script.”
She should not discuss private stuff like this—–it makes her look stupid.

OMG, I cant wait to see the full issue. I love the full black with baby and hat. Angelina is georgous, and the one with Shi and Pax, I love them all. :)
One cannot be tired of a celebrity(i.e. 5 pictures of Katie walking per day) and then go to the extreme measure of commenting on them. This just shows a perverse fascination.
I am tired of them and so are the people in Louisana, from another report on another board it’s very interesting.
I agree # 15 keep what you do with your kids private.
I do not “believe” that Angie and Brad are “letting” their sons “play” with these objects, it sounds as if the boys’- Maddox inparticular has a very normal boyish interest in these items, it goes back to the old saying if you do not allow your children to explore their interests in all things, with sound “advice” to back it up, then the interest may become “dark” and all-encompassing( if you don’t allow a healthy interest, say in guns, a young boy will ultimately pick up a stick and pretend it’s a gun, nonethless)… sounds like the boys’ are interested in these things and they are allowing that interest to take shape with sound advice (weapons are not for hurting, etc.) to teach them that difference. It also sounds like they are maybe starting a collection as well… doesn’t sound like that big of a deal, especially for those of us who have and are around boys’… my opinion…
I believe that brangelina may be in danger of being overexposed.
