OlderAngelina Jolie’s W Magazine Photo Spread Revealed
W Magazine has published a bunch of the photos of Angelina Jolie and the kids, as photographed by longtime partner Brad Pitt. You can view them at WMagazine.com. (You have to click through the eight slides in the Flash slideshow.) Here are some choice excerpts from the cover article:
– Every family has its unique rites of passage, those generational milestones that mark a child’s growth and remind parents of their own similar experiences, years earlier. In the Jolie-Pitt household, one such event is the day a kid begins collecting daggers. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s seven-year-old son, Maddox, like many boys his age, has lately developed a fondness for guns and knives, and Jolie proudly notes that the predilection runs in the family. “My mom took me to buy my first daggers when I was 11 or 12,” she recalls. “And I’ve already bought Maddox some things. We take him to a special shop.” She emphasizes that the knife blades are dulled so they’re not dangerous, and that the purchases are accompanied by discussions about violence. But, she says, “we also talk about samurais and about the idea of defending someone as good. We talk about everything.”
– If Jolie has a favorite possession, she says, it’s the overstuffed Tumi case that holds the family’s travel documents: Vietnamese, Namibian, Ethiopian, French and American passports, plus her own UN credentials.
– The Jolie-Pitt bedroom, of course, remains off-limits to journalists. And sometimes even to kids, Jolie declares. “The kids do knock before entering,” she says. “We’ve at least got that part down. Because Mommy and Daddy need some space.”

Holy moly could she be any more annoying? The ludicrously staged photos- oh yes when I was nursing my babies I was in full slap all the time. Why the only time I took of my make up was to go incognito to the knife shop for the gift that keeps on giving. What kind of insufferable narcissist wants the whole world to see their ‘private’ moments? What sort of idiots do they think we are that these are natural? I’ve seen less make up on a 50 year old drag queen. Buying knives of any kid is unbelievably stupid (and illegal in the UK- you have to be 16 to buy any kind of knife, even a kitchen one) but for a war orphan? I meant there’s ‘botox your kids feet’ stupid and there is criminally selfish unfit parent stupid. She is a basket case and he is a nutless fop who is acting out his long held fantasy of being edgy. Ohh I’m an artist! I’ve got multi ethnic kids! I’m so potent even anorexics fall pregnant at my slightest touch in the red carpet! I’m a photographer and my ‘kids’ have knives cos we’re so ******* edgy! I know Bono and I’ve done it with a girl. Give it up the pair of you, you are making me tired.
Oh, gawd, now the crud have swooped down like the vultures they are; Angie said the word ‘dagger’ and they are like predators diving into a corpse. Raw meat for the azz ho…s. If you read the whole thing you would have also read that Angie had a dagger collection as a kid. Such faux concern for the safety of her children; like she would ever risk harming one of her kids……….

I’m obsessed I read you comments all the time and I’m never on these website look it up I usually just read the comments and laugh to myself with you Jen Angie and brad its quite funny the things you people come out with.. I give my opinion sometimes and i can like you.
Brad wants to keep his children private he says over and over again there the busiest stars I know.
what is the point of giving a child a knife? not a vulture just sincerely confused.

i would much rather see pics that have been relised by celebs of their kids then see pap pics of babies scaried.

Looks like daggergate got to people ..read what she says, she has explained the concept of good vs evil and the whole samurai explanation. The kids are well aware of their ethnicity and have been to conditions of abject poverty, she is making them aware of guns, daggers, knives and how it is to be used .. for the good only.
Some of these topics are so controversial and thats why we get people up in arms.. (no pun), its easier to tell your kids to not engage in guns/knives etc than to teach them the whole pros vs cons thing.. She is definitely taking the tougher route and teaching them. Did most of u watch Kungfu Panda? that had violence but was the no 1 movie in america and is doing well worldwide. Do you think people are questioning if Jack Black’s kids are into violence?
and to whoever asked if she can talk about guns film wanted and still work for the UN… YES absolutely.. You dont have to play Eliza dolittle to get a chance to work at the UN.
I just want to know how many people who love her are also Pro-daggers for little children? Why come nobody can answer that?
At least now I can see the photos properly. Those screencaps I saw sucked. It’s too bad they didn’t include the photo of Z in Angie’s heels, though. That one was megacute. Hopefully the mag will be in my local grocery store that gets new mags on Thursday…otherwise I’ll have to haunt B&N because my local Wal-marts don’t carry W.

Don’t bother with the trolls and the haters. Angie and Brad do not need anyone to defend them. They are living their lives as they see fit and are raising their children with good values. Lets just enjoy the beautiful photographs, I am waiting to get the copy of the magazine to read the article.

States’ Film Production Incentives Cause Jitters

LOS ANGELES — Already on the hook for billions to bail out Wall Street, taxpayers are also finding themselves stuck with a growing tab for state programs intended to increase local film production.
Louisiana, one of the most assertive players in the subsidy game, wound up covering that outsize piece of the nearly $167 million budget of Mr. Pitt’s “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” — the state’s biggest movie payout to date — when producers for Paramount Pictures and Warner Brothers qualified the coming movie, a special-effects drama, under an incentive that has since been tightened.
One of the most shocking bills has come due in Louisiana, where residents are financing a hefty share of Brad Pitt’s next movie — $27,117,737, to be exact, which the producers will receive by cashing or selling off valuable tax credits.

Brad Pitt is obsessed with photography.
The ‘Burn After Reading’ star - whose pictures of partner Angelina Jolie breastfeeding one of their twins feature in the upcoming issue of W magazine - can’t put his camera down, revealed Angelina.
She said: “I love his photography. Some people have a hobby and they find the quickest way into it and are very pleased with the outcome right away.
“But he’s someone who will really study the camera. He’ll get the most complicated one and really understand the science behind it.”
The ‘Wanted’ actress also says Brad strives to make his photographs perfect and is rarely completely happy with his work.
She added: “He’s very critical of his work. I’ll see a photograph and think it’s amazing but he’ll see all the different reasons why it can be better and he’ll work very, very hard to improve it.”
Brad, 44, recently revealed there will be nothing as important to him as Angelina and their six children, Maddox, seven, Pax, four, Zahara, three, Shiloh, two, and two-month-old twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline.
He said: “My family comes before everything else. No film will ever take precedence or fill me with the kind of joy I have as a father and partner.”
