Daniel Craig Gets Rugged in Russia

she has it good now, but i get the impression that if she interferes with daniels long term goals career ambitions or wants something away from his interests, then he will dump her.
he cut heike out of his life when she wanted marriage and children.
she had also better watch out than daniel does not meet someone else i.e. director, producer who can provide him with more benefits.
it sounds like she is already insecure about this if she has to listen in on every conversation he is having with other people inthe industry. (this was mentioned in another thread.)
She is involved in many meetings of his and does “listen in” so I gather.
As for Daniel dumping Satsuki and finding someone who “further’s his interests” then I would disagree slightly. He isn’t Madonna..lol…he is not the casting couch type.
As for “dumping” Heike, I wouldn’t be that cavalier, I think they both agreed on that “unnattainable” situation in their relationship although it was a very sudden split.

there are people in the industry who more than know what exactly what satsuki is capable of. and the people that i have spoken to have made it clear, that so far, she HAS NOT DONE daniel any favors in the career department. nor do they expect her to do so. these people, one of whom is a casting agent who’s been in the business for 20 years, do not believe that she has either the capability or is up to the challenge. remeber some of the people have had dealings with her. just so we’re clear; satsuki did not help daniel get james bond. he got that all on his own.

He is his own boss but does take her opinions (not lightly) and does have her scout for him. She does have influence regarding his choices, according to some people I know.
But you’re right, she isn’t forging a great path for him with her approach and demeanour and many people do NOT like dealing with her as she is the “front gate” to getting to him so to speak.
At the end of the day, she is his represetative in many terms.
On the Bond note: she did encourage him to go for the role (when he was approached) and then to accept it, as did many other people.
But of course, he and he alone clinched the deal.
Look at the films she has been involved with like Black Christmas. They Suck!!!!
Her “directing” abilities may not reflect her “scouting” abilities or “advice”.
I really don’t think Daniel would have her if she wasn’t up to the task although maybe their personal relationship might hamper him having a “clear” head regarding this?

Doesn’t that damage his career, having her involved, when she is disliked. She sounds like a complete pain the a*s. How does that help anything?? Especially when she just runs her mouth and is incompetent?

Surely his agent and correct me if i’m wrong has something to do with scouting for scripts?? I don’t know the business so i could be wrong. If they do what do they think of Satsuki taking over this role, surely that would annoy his agent. It’s like Satsuki is acting as his agent. Now i’m confused!!
Even though she is in a professional world doing a very high stressed “job”, there are many people who dislike the fact that she is considered a “runner in”, that is, many people work hard many many years to get a “job” like her but as she is his g/f, she has “walked into” the position somewhat.
Professional jealousy and hate to say it, personal jealousy too from some quarters. She does deal with many women who give her a hard time no doubt.
I think she works in conjunction with his established agent..
I don’t think any toes are being stepped on.
To #133 Trickly situation when you work and “play” with the same person. I agree. Daniel should stick to advice from his agent and just have her as a gf. She could be nagging him all day long about her point of view and have lots of arguments if he does not agree with her. Maybe that is why they don’t look happy at times. Stick to the advise from his paid agents and manager and let her “manage” herself.

To be honest i say good luck to Satsuki, so what if she walked into the postion so to speak. She’s still got to work hard and prove herself.
At the end of the day, Daniel is aware of where he wants his career to go and Satsuki is helping him with that while getting experience that is highly sought after and taking pelasure in helping him realize his goals.
I’m sure she is doing it well as I don’t think for one minute he would have her conduct herself in any other fashion than being knowledgeable and professional.

To 121: You mention wives and I would include presidential first ladies in that category. They are intimate confidants.
Now this is where I find Sats or shall I say her position in DC’s life confusing. IF she is just a gf then being his “sounding board” is fragile because tomorrow the relationship could be gone. IF she is something more than a gf then that’s a more secure place for her… but it’s still fragile because if DC gets another gf, why would this new gf want Sats to be around even if she can do other jobs (and Dan would want her to).
Of course, all of this could be a lot easier for her if she becomes Mrs. Daniel W. Craig - then she will be more secure. :)

BTW, I’ve seen some video of the Stockholm shoot (which looked really short) but I couldn’t find Sats at all around Daniel - well not within 5 feet of him anyways. It was mostly “minders”.

the rumor i’ve heard, and mind you it’s only a rumor, is that satsuki was asked not to be near by at the photo shoot by someone in management at the firm that handles pr for the QOS. they apparently did not want photos of satsuki showing up as it did when the pr junkets for casino royale were going on.
Yes, I can concur with the “rumour”. She was there but not near any photocall’s etc.
Now if this is anything to do with a new PR viewpoint/fans etc probably, and some of the dynamics are different from the CR time.
I believe they (the powers that be at Sony/EoN) are trying to keep her at a lower profile but of course, she will be there at the premieres.
All to do with his image and the maintaining of that I think.
It has been said time and time again, that the g/f-CR circuit relationship was overkill and they will not tolerate that again.

I thought she was only high profile with CR because Daniel wanted her there by his side for support. It was him who was suppose to have been clingy according to rumour.

Then that was Daniel’s fault per and simple on the CR circuit. I find it laughable now because he’s refuses to talk about their relationship to the press. He’s was the one talking her up then and during the filming of CR (IIRC at the time), she’s was everywhere with him, she’s starts wearing a ring on the left hand, etc.
But now this is the way it SHOULD be… Hopefully we’ll see some of Gemma on the promo tours. He has two beautiful co-stars in this film - he needs to show them off. :D
Well people can change their mind, personally and professionally as well. Remember, Daniel didn’t really anticipate the “fallout” of the “high profile” that he created by having her there at literally everything. Plus he was overwhelmed at it all and she helped him.
He has had his baptism by fire now but I don’t think for one moment we’ll see any less of her at the premieres. The junkets, yes, the red carpets, no.
