OlderMadonna Brings Filth & Wisdom To New York
Director Madonna attends a screening of her new film, Filth and Wisdom, hosted by The Cinema Society and Dolce and Gabbana at the Sunshine Cinema on Monday in New York City.
The New Yorker is all sorts of confused about the film: “What vexes me most about Filth and Wisdom is the economics. Madonna has been a global star for decades. She has amassed a fortune, much of which presumably remains intact. She can’t have spent all of it on jodhpurs and conical bras. So why, when it came to launching herself as a film director, did she limit her budget to $365.23? Such, at any rate, is my estimate for the funding of Filth and Wisdom. If the actors were paid according to their talents, they cannot have cost more than forty bucks.” OUCH!
The Hollywood Reporter sort of compliments it, but sort of slams the quirky dark comedy as well. UK’s Telegraph has mixed feelings about it as well. Trailer below!

i changed my mind ! i saw a pic of lourdes recently & madonna your a real b y o t c h for letting Lourdes have all that hair on her face! my neice is 12 also, and she just plucks in the middle & it’s done ! my neice is part italian and spanish & she feels so much more confident with her eyebrows nicely groomed !

Oh, I love Madonna. And everything she tries- I love that she’s so fearless and always wants to push herself to do more. It will take a very special woman to fill her shoes, if ever, and there’s no one that even comes close. She’s had such a fascinating life and career.

I can’t work out why she doesn’t change her hair style, the center part doesn’t suit her and the blonde colour is too harsh and aging,

the hair. that center part can only be pulled off by very few women, claudia schiffer being one of them. the color, well, madonna is an iconic blonde, she will always be a blonde to many, perhaps just a smidge shade darker? something less severe is what’s needed here. the facial hair. hm. i think madonna’s gotten so skinny (for her body type which is naturally athletic) that’s she’s growing facial hair as some sort of the body’s way to keep itself warm. she’s probably cold a lot of times being as slender as she’s become. i hope she’s ok though. she’s a great artist.
