Blake Lively & Penn Badgley: Vote Obama!
McCainFreeWhiteHouse.org is a new site that has been launched encouraging young people to warn their parents about John McCain and to persuade them to vote for Barack Obama.
The site just posted a video featuring Gossip Girl stars (and real-life couple) Blake Lively and Penn Badgley. And I’m pretty sure that’s American Teen’s Hannah Bailey! Anybody recognize anyone else? Watch the vid below! The narration goes:
Talk to your parents about John McCain.
For my sake? Please?
Vote for Barack Obama.
Before it’s too late.
The ad, brought to you by MoveOn.org, was helmed by director Doug Liman (Bourne Identity, Mr. and Mrs. Smith).

Dear God. Shut up. Seriously? People are supposed to listen to a couple of nobodies playing spoiled teenagers on Gossip Girl about who they’re going to vote for?
I am so sick of these celebrities thinking that they are so important, that who they are voting for matters to anybody else, and that they have a “duty” to tell everyone else who to vote for. I have done my own research, by going to Obama’s and McCain’s websites, reading the newspapers and watching the news….I don’t need a bunch of self-inflated egos telling me who to vote for. I come to these sights for entertainment….not for political advise!
Couldn’t agree more, Ha! I CAN”T STAND CELEBRITIES TELLING ME WHO TO VOTE FOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHen are they going to get that??????
Frankly, I could NEVER vote for someone who has surrounded himself with the prejudiced white and Jew hating individuals Obama has. And only in office for like 200 days…….I shudder to think of what this man would do…..and OMG, I wish he’d STOP SHOUTING ALL THE TIME. He sounds like the typical preaching Rev. Jackson or Al Sharpton. He needs to GO AWAY!!! SIck of him and his rhetoric. ……just saying what he thinks will get him elected. Sick…..sick…..sick
…..excuse my spelling errors, but I was aggravated when I typed my first comment!
Shouldn’t this be illegal?
Not only is the whole policy of this ad annoying and bordering on childish it’s just plain lame. Talking about voting like it’s sex? Get a grip!
unbelievable. yeah, why do celebrities think we should care who they’re voting for?? seriously, take this video and switch it … warn people about obama!!!
celebs need to STOP endorsing this. just because they want me to vote for obama? ahhahaha why not actually read his policis & see what a wack job he is! obama has been in office for like what. 200 days? & he has like TWO memoirs out?!?!? wtf is in his memoirs??? oh yeah so i woke up this morning & ate cereal… yeah what a good book!!!!!! mccain has experience. he’s been in office. he’s been in the war. he knows what america needs. so no thanks blake & penn. i am NOT going to vote for obama. but you are more than welcome to leave america when mccain wins =]
Why can’t celebrities have the same attitude as Zac Efron?
Zac told us, “I’m registered to vote and I’m gonna encourage voting, but I’m not gonna encourage anyone to vote for a particular candidate.”
THAT, is so much more respectful to us. If anyone thinks to themselves, “Oh, Penn and BLake are voting for Obama, Oh,,,,,I have to too!”, then they are pathetic. People have to truly educate themselves on the candidates and the issues, or they have no business voting AT ALL.
I actually think this is a funny, well done ad. And maria, why don’t you go seclude yourself in some racist, xenophobic bunker where the scary “loud” black men don’t have to bother you? Douchebag.
I guess i’m not the only one who see’s McCain as a grave danger to America. I encourage any and all celebs to voice who they’re voting ESPECIALLY if it sways votes and/or makes people vote. Having McCain as president will so totally f*ck America up!

This Democrat is voting MCCAIN in Nov.
I’m not willing to take a CHANCE on this man o’ change. (obot)
adversiting and the media play such a big role in our life.
if we need celebrities to get kids to vote, so i’m all for it. and let’s face it, with obama - america has a chance, with mccain - let’s say goodbye.
If I’m a douchebag for not liking racist people or having people shout rhetoric at me, then I guess I proudly am!! :o)
lol that is a bit much but it is hilarious…
McCain… Marijuana
Palin… Crack
I see all the Republican staffers are out in force whining about
the ad, get over it, they have every right to express their opinion,
just like the hate filled mobs who attend the McCain/Palin rallies.
Most young people will vote for Obama because they know it’s time for an intelligent, articulate and inspiring leader, unlike the same old McCain/Bush and the ignorant, redneck, racist Palin!!!!
This really makes me sad. To think young people out there are TELLING children to go to their parents and question why they would vote for someone is just RIDICULUS!!! Children have a right to know what’s going on and how it will impact them, but to say that my 12 year old should come to me and question my political views based on what some no talent actor on some teeny bopper television show is telling them, is just outright wrong! Blake Lively & Penn Badgley couldn’t tell you one thing about Obama beyond what their script and teleprompter is telling them to say. Voting for someone is not to be “cool” it’s to make an educated decision based on facts and reputation. I’ll stick to reputable news sites and publications for that.
wow this is HOT! i love penn and blake in this vid! :)
All these people who want to keep complaining how celebrities are endorsing certain candidates need to stop logging on to just jared. THIS is a website that follows what celebrities do on a daily basis. If they are actively doing something to encourge people to vote or who to vote, that is their buisness. You can agree or disagree. But you don’t have a right to complain about them for doing so. Why is it okay for YOU to click on here and follow every other part of their lives (pics of them walking down the street, buying groceries, etc.) but when it’s something you don’t approve of, they should shut up or stay out of it?
Maybe you should stay out of their lives.
This is actually one of the few places I get information about who celebrities are endorsing. I think it’s great!!
Right, like I’m going to listen to someone who’s still living off their parents, has never had to pay a mortgage, has no kids, and no bills. Of course kids like Barack Obama. He’s fun, he tells jokes, he’s cool, he’s hip, he likes rap, he promises everyone money if he wins…he’s the New Black. If I were a teenager I’d be telling my parents to vote for him, too.
Geez Joy. Thanks, but your comment is the EXACT reason that celebrity endorsements frighten me. I haven’t decided who I’m going to vote for in November, it will likely be who scares me less going into this downturned economy (btw, increased taxes a la Obama, doesn’t appeal to me). You actively seek who celebrities are endorsing?? God, grow up.
BTW, complaining and talking about what Jared posts here is the POINT of these threads. Just sayin…
Ok . . . like I’m going to take the advice of some one who reads lines for a living. Just the fact that some twenty year olds think they know what’s best for this country is disturbing.
Celebrities need to stop telling people who to vote for. Its almost like infringing on democracy because they have alot of influence, people like to blindly follow whatever they say. Be classy, keep your mouth shut and let people decide for themselves. Im all about freedom of speech but these celebrities are abusing it and abusing their influence to get what they want. And just so you dont think i have an agenda in that comment, i am anti mcain as well. But i made that decision on my own.
if obama wins, i’m looking forward to 4 years of liberals and hollywood shutting the eff up!
Their names sound like a brand of tennis balls
haha they have been celebs for like a nano second! if they were just normal people you republicans would STILL be hating on them! but i guarantee that if they were up there saying ‘please warn your family about obama. vote mccain!’ EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU would be praising them! saying ‘finally someone with sense!’ god you all are such a bunch of hypocrites. seriously.
@Maria: only scared people scream so loud. Don’t use the 200 days in office excuse, because Palin is even less qualified. The only difference is: Obama is kind spirited and has my best interest in mind!
Bottom line is: if this video bothers you so much you are either a) Republican and worried shitless that the old man is behind in all the polls with more margin than ever seen before or b) jealous of celebrities. Don’t watch it or suck it up, it’s not worth your negative attention.
OBAMA WON THE 2009 ELECTIONS!
Shut up Maria why are you worried. who cares what these two think>Obama has no experience. Less then sara palin. This democrat is voting for McCAIN!
honestly, i dont give a flying F who wins. i’m not an american citizen so idc.
but watching the presidential debate. i CAN say that MCcain is a dumbass. he doesnt answer questions properly. And Obama does. He’s eloquent and he knows what hes doing and saying.
i UNDERSTAND why blake and penn are doing this. they’re not necessarily saying VOTE FOR OBAMA OR DIE. but they’re saying to get YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE YOU VOTE FOR MCCAIN.
just like what anyone else should be doing if they were voting for obama.
you people are so technical with it. if you dont wanna see people wanting to vote for certain president dont come on here duh.
Sorry but i’m voting McCain and i’m not old! But i agree that John McCain is old but old is better than stupid!
It’s not the fact that McCain is old. that’s already a total give me by just one stare.
It’s the fact that when’ he dies, I HOPE NOT. but just saying. Palin would replace him……then what? Palin doesnt know wtf she’s saying how do you people expect what she’s doing?
Obama come on now he acts like he’s god and he thinks he can fix everything. All I hear about Obama is he’s a rock star lmfao. But McCain has my vote you don’t see him using celebrities. Oh yeah polls don’t matter anyway and if you look back when John Kerry and Bush were trying to win the presidency Kerry was way ahead in the polls and guess who won Bush did.
I’m not old and voting for McCain also. Obama is inexperienced. He is not the best man for the job……
i think obama is great!!!! i will vote him
This has nothing to do with democrat or republican, this has to do with Obama and his scary brainwashing tactics of trying to win this election by spending gazillions of dollars ( half of it coming for foreigners), by using every form of media to carry his water and protect him from people looking to closely at his record and associations, it feels like he trying to take over a society not just win an election, if you live in a battle ground state you see his ads everywhere all the time and then you have these celebrities who are like a cult when half the country is kinda evenly divided and celebrities were brought up from all around the country all say one thing vote one way you know it has nothing to do with what’s best of America or issues it has to do with doing what’s cool like drinking/drugs and wearing the latest fashion, celebrities are the most insecure people in society, a bunch of sheep who just follow the latest fad most of them barely even have any education but they want to tell Americans who and how to vote and have you noticed this year how many of these stupid celebrities endorsements for NObama are from the under 30 crowd, NObama doesn’t want people voting on the issues or on his record and who he aligned himself while rising in politics, no they want a bunch of college students and that age group going to vote for him because it’s the in thing to do and cool and NObama wants to reenforce that message everywhere they look. If a candidate has to spend almost a billion dollars to convince people to for vote for him and he has every form of media already carrying his water maybe people should stop and ask themselves if he was really right for this country would he really did to do all this to convince people to vote for him and if this is how he operates running to be President what will he do once he is in power.
He’s not using celebrities.
He’s not saying, hey you penn do this, hey you blake do this.
hey you gossip girl clan use your powers to make other people vote for me.
No, the actors do that because they have a voice. and they’re gonna use it regardless of what it will do to their careers.
Wait wait wait…so this site is telling young americans to persuade their parents to vote Obama? That is tooo funny. Yes let’s let the uneducated young immature people of today persuade the older, intellegent, experianced..tax paying people to vote for Obama…and here I thought the world couldn’t get any dumber…please tell me this is a joke.
@shell.
you cant even spell experienced.
that’s more of a joke than blake and penn saying GET INFORMATION BEFORE YOU VOTE.
people… you follow your celebrities everyday and keep ignorance in the rest of the world.. then they speak up against your beliefs and you hate them….
McCain is a threat to the world … and its scary to see that people still support him and will vote for him…
I still trust that Obama is going to win no matter what… but seeing some comments here everyday scare me.. that McCain actually has a chance .. I forgot about the ignorant lot that will vote for him
AMEN #2…..I just cant stand celeberities these days, They really have crossed the line by telling the public who to vote for, this is truely disgusting.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVv6tCMSn44
GO McCAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ridiculous.
McCain/ Palin ‘08!!!
silly. MCAIN/PALIN 08.
Finally a bandwagon I can hop on this in room……..
MCCAIN PALIN FOR ME TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO and I’m 20!
I don’t want a rockstar in office and I’m not jumping on a bandwagon because it’s the cool thing to do. Obama is a charismatic and likeable guy, but he has no track record and if you really listen to what he says, there isn’t much substance behind his eloquence. Both of these men will say whatever they have to during the election to win. Please remember that. Also, think about the fact that if it weren’t Obama he was running against, many of you would be thinking about John McCain.
I am registered independent and have voted democrat in every presidential election I’ve take part in (that would be 4), but four and eight years ago, if John McCain had won the nomination I would gladly have voted for him. He is NOT George Bush - take a look for yourself and stop listening to political ads. It’s time to really think while you’re making your decision.
I agree, sillyme………young people who don’t have a FREAKIN’ clue, about what it’s like to work hard, and who just want someone because they’re charismatic or speak “eloquently” are the ones who will vote for Obama. These are NOT the reasons to vote for someone…..it’s sad.
This democrat is voting for McCain/Palin.
Its fantastic that celebrities encourage people to vote but to tell me to vote for a certain candidate?? That’s crossing the line. And for what it’s worth, I would rather warn my parents about Barack Obama and tell them to vote for John McCain. Just because someone is an “intelligent, articulate, and aspiring leader”, as another commentor said, does NOT mean they would make a good president. I bet Obama would make a great motivational speaker, though!
At trish….Do you think I really care? All Im saying is how are young Americans more informed than Adults? Sorry I mispelled…I was a little bewildered in the fact this video and site are actually real. If you buy into this then I can’t wait to see everyones reaction when Obama raises taxes and hurts our economy more. Btw I am a young American, I attend college, and I’m sick people my age so blindly following someone they nothing about but because he’s the cool thing….Just look at this site Jared has made it very clear who’s the cooler candidate.
McCain/Palin 08
Don’t Hope for change vote for it.
Oh and trish…they arn’t saying get more information before you vote…if that was the case then why say VOTE OBAMA. STFU.
The Ironic part is when the guy says are you voting for him because people your age are voting for him….Are they serious….OH the irony.
The Ironic part is when the guy says are you voting for him because people your age are voting for him….Are they serious….OH the irony.
You know who else was “intelligent, articulate, and aspiring leader” Hilter. No I’m not saying Obama is the next Hilter but you can not vote for a guy just because he’s all of these things….A president needs leadership EXPERIENCE not just an aspiring leader…he hasn’t lead **** yet.
I love Blake & Penn, but I have no desire to vote for someone whom I’m being told to vote for. I base my values on my political standing rather than anything else. My personal opinion is that Obama is BAD news and brings nothing new to the White House. I’ve done plenty of research thanks
the more idiot celebs order who to vote for, the more we will vote for the opposite.
what imbecilic arrogance that these teen nitwits are lecturing their parents [just like idiot sarah silverman went to FLA to lecture seniors on how they're dumb to vote Mac]
this obama frenzy is as scary as the bush frenzy was, it is blind and mindless
obama is a scumbag - you people who think he is the answer are putting this country into a boatload of misery, he knows nothing, he is evil, he will and has overthrown every position whenever it serves his ambition.
obama is a product - manufactured and packaged by his handlers. he fools people because he knows how to conceal his true self with capable language. people are scared and want a magic solution. obama is not it. he will be more misery.
What a way to lose all your McCain supporting viewers. They just lost what little credibility they had. No longer a fan…
Haha, I thought this was really clever and funny. You guys need to chill out. Also, don’t get your panties in such a twist about celebrities encouraging people to vote for certain candidates. Everyone has the right to support a candidate and try to get others to do so as well. I know I go around telling people to vote for Obama, and I’m no expert (although I am well informed on the issues and care about the future). I assume these people have also done their homework and want to share their knowledge. If you disagree, then just ignore it. CHILL!!
Also, it’s BS to say that Obama has no experience and that he’s stupid. Kiki, were YOU ever president of the Harvard Law Review? I think that automatically makes Obama smarter than 98% of the country, and that’s what we need in a President. He’s spent his life organizing people and committees to improve the lives of the less fortunate.
Also, I really don’t think that someone who was a POW for 5 years should have his finger on the button. Hello, post-traumatic stress disorder, anyone? Somebody drops a book on the floor and McCain jumps a mile high and hits the nuclear weapon button. No thanks.
PS–I am surprised how many right-wingers there are on this blog! Jeez. Well, maybe most of the liberals are out working hard to improve the country while you guys sit with your thumbs up your asses looking up celebrities…
Hate to break it to you all, but Obama is going to win, guaranteed. People have wised up to McSAME. Sorry folks.
And with that, I’m off to continue my graduate school program.
The thing is, and lets face it-if those stupid kids are not for Obama, they simply won’t have jobs the next season. ahahhaah they are so pathetic. Get your facts together, they do not even know what Obama’s ideas stand for. Um…Madonna and someone else oh Opra are for Obama…um we should be for him too… Um that’s all we know. ahahahaha. Idiots!!
this ad is disgraceful. this is the epitome of what obama stands for. senseless and hurtful attacks. i believe i stand with many americans when i say that i am down right sick of the negative ads, from both parties!
@teresa… You are an inspiration! Very well stated.
It’s pretty clear Obama is going after the uneducated by using these tactics to get people to vote for him. I hope in the next debate McCain forces Obama to disclose his real relationship with Ayers and ACORN. But knowing Obama, he will say “I’m not going to answer that”, and then INSTRUCT the moderator to go to the next question.
Well they are just as qualified as their candidate of choice.
I’m more worried about Obama’s friends than a celeb telling me to vote for him. I seriously doubt either of these Moron’s even know what this man (Obama) stands for. This is a celebrity site, and we all chose to be on here. I talked to my parents because they have been around for 50 years of politics, and I made a great decision. Obama is the same Democratic polics that have been around for years. I don’t understand why people don’t see that. He isn’t the solution, he is just a great motivational speaker that is very intelligent.
Celebrities outspoken in their support for Obama:
Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie
Justin Timberlake & Jessica Biel
Tim McGraw & Faith Hill
Halle Berry

Bruce Springsteen
Alicia Keyes
Christie Brinkley
Pete Wentz
Julia Louis-Dreyfus

Dean Cain
Jon Voight
Wilfred Brimley
THIS ELECTION IS MUCH TOO IMPORTANT TO KEEP QUIET!
OBAMA/BIDEN ‘08
holy ****. Im tired of the negative comments about other people opinions however the point of this is not to bash other peoples opinions its to voice ur own. I hate how the country was run by bush! IT IS HORRIBLE! now with the finacial problem and all i think a democrat deserves a chance to run america and even though everyone thinks obama is out to get the young people, the stuff he says is what he believes in and honestly its bullshit that everyone is upset about what 2 celebraties said. Who cares if ur not even gonna listen?
i would rather have them urging young people just to vote and make their own desicion instead of telling them to vote for Obama. These celebrities bug me…especially oprah! I’m from Canada and im kind of glad that i dont have to deal with all of this when i vote
awww makes me love blake and penn even more<3
anyone who states palin having more experience then obama is a complete douche.
SHUT UP EVERYONE!
obama is the man(:
McBush isnt gonna win,
stop hating cause your not celebs who are amaziing.
and no ones gonna vote for a president with sarah palin as VP!~
Hollywood needs to be cut off and sent to the middle of the ocean.
WHO THE HELL CARES WHAT YOU IDIOTS THINK!!!!
# 67 “anyone who states palin having more experience then obama is a complete douche.” and #68 “McBush isnt gonna win,
stop hating cause your not celebs who are amaziing.”………um yeah, prime examples of the “intelligent” people voting for Obama.
Oh, and #64
What is the point of printing that list? That alot more celebrities are voting for Obama than McCain? Well, that must mean that Obama is the better candidate…..because celebrities are so much smarter than the general public. LMAO
god people do have minds of their own i think its so wrong celebrities asking people to vote who they want in….
Do yourselves a favor and do not allow yourselves to think that either of these men are above saying what they think you want to hear in order to get themselves elected. Promising the world is the nature of the game. Take some time to look at their track records prior to this campaign began, base your decision on who stands more for what YOU personally believe in. Debates and political ads mean NOTHING - they are just campaign-time PR.
I’m sorry, but anyone who actually uses a ridiculous moniker like McBush or Nobama obviously hasn’t done any of this. This election is not the time to be lazy about educating yourself.
#71…I was pointing out that it’s not unusual for celebrities to be outspoken about who they’re voting for and I have never understood why people get so annoyed about it. Honestly, it would not bother me if the same actors voiced their support for McCain because it’s been said time and time again that a celebrity’s endorsement of a candidate never sways individual voters or has any overall effect on the outcome of an election. I don’t think there is anything wrong with being involved in a political campaign - even if you are well known.
Jane, Thanks for clarifying that, and I apologize for misinterpetting your intent in posting that list. I am all for celebrities saying “VOTE!”, however, I disagree with them trying to influence others to vote their way. There are alot of impressionable people, who will do what they think is “cool”. I would feel the same way if this ad was for McCain.
STFU, already. I guess we know who Jared is voting for, too. EYEROLL
okay, i’m not arguing, but i’ll just say,
VOTE FOR MCCAIN!!!!!!!!
People it’s just an AD.. Democratic voting for McCain just bc of an AD just some of you guys are too stupid… It just prove you’ll listen to anything the tv says. even it’s the total opposite…
People, listen to what the candidates are saying and I mean really listen because this is gonna affect how America’s gonna be for the nxt 4 years… regardless of which celebrities is endorsing them
Beside McCain is an exactly like Bush… Do we (ask yourself this) want another Bush in office?
I can’t believe celebrities are telling people who they should vote for. thats pretty dumb. and I agree with # 30
i think most kids are just voting for obama because there favorite celebs are voting for him. but i dont understand why?? he has done nothing for our country!! so im voting for mccain. atleast he has done stuff, and palin is gonna kick ass being the vice president.
LAAMEEE!!! Penn and Blake should STFU!!!
ignorant idiots!
SWW-EE-TT!!
if only i was just ONE year older , i would definitely vote for Obama
and not just cause Celebs are ; he really looks like he would be a good president for our country
This is so ridiculous. “Talk to your parents about John McCain. For my sake? Please? Vote for Barack Obama.” How about encouraging young people to learn the issues and make an informed decision based on their own beliefs instead of pressuring them to vote for the person you want.
I like both Blake and Penn but think that celebrities trying to push their political views on anyone else is completely ridiculous. I can’t imagine the kind of perosn who would change their vote just to feel like they voted for the “cool” candidate or the one that their favorite star is voting for. Give me a break.
OH my god! I will call Blake Lively any day!!
Um, this is not Obama’s experience ( which is very little) vs. Palin’s. She’s not the one running against him. Now, McCain’s experience, passion for his country, and ideas for REAL change are what is impressive to me. He is NOT Bush. He’s ready to take on what’s wrong in Washington, and knows HOW to do it, with his bi-partisan experience. Obama will NEVER be able to work with both parties. EVER.
Having charisma DOES NOT make you a good leader.
I don’t need to listen to an uneducated bi+ch who shows her boobs like every single chance she has.
Even christina aguilera would stop showing her cleavage in this kind of campaign video.
I’m all for getting the word out to vote and encouraging people to get registered to vote. But it has become very abnoxious the way these celebrities are going about with this whole vote for Obama thing. I feel like it’s all become very suffocating. It’s like this whole campaign has become just another trend in Hollywood and their really not taking it seriously! In their world it’s like well look Matt Damons voting for him so I guess I should to because it’s the cool and “trendy” thing to do! I think they should be more encouraging on getting people educated on the 2 presidental nominees rather and getting them registered to vote rather then shoving a certain politician down your throat all the time. It’s like America knows how you feel so you can stop now! Especially since I personally don’t think majority of America really cares what they have to say in the first place and don’t take in consideration what the celebrities are voting for when their choosing a candiate. I didn’t mean for this to be so long but once I started I couldnt stop! So just decided to stop because I could probably keep going! Ha!
I agree with the comment that this type of celebrity endorsement should be illegal. It is silly and contentious.
For heaven’s sake. Will someone stop celebrities who sing, dance and act from telling us how to vote?
These are silly people telling us how to do the most serious task we must ever do. They are crass. In simply endorsing us to vote for their candidate they are assuming that we are as dumb as they are. They assume that we do not actually listen to or read the candidates positions and will actually vote because some dumb celebrity tells them to. Better luck next time, because I will vote how I think and it certainly is not on your celebrity terms.
These ads have an underlying current of ageism. If you’re over 40, you’re out of touch.
Actually Ann, Mccain DOES us celebrities for his advertisements. remember the ad with Paris Hilton and Britney Spears? Yeah, I thought so.
I also beleive Obama is actually much more intelligent than Mccain. Mccain admits that he graduated 5th from the BOTTOM of his class. Just because Mccain was a prisoner of war, it doesn’t mean that he’s qualified to lead a country. Obama is very well educated, and has family values. Mccain is too out of reach for today’s society and quite frankly, Sarah Palin is an idiot.
sarah youre a moron.
when did penn or blake say vote for obama and NOT mcCain?
they said get your facts straight before you vote for him.
they have the voice. they’re using it. get over it.
we all know who’s going to win neways.
This is one of the reasons why I’m not voting for Obama. Stupid ads like this.
The only way i’ll feel like voting for Obama is if Blake Lively gives me a B*** Job, and a one night stand. But as of right now…
BARR/ROOT 08
Oh, and trish, you’re the real moron on here.
You clearly don’t get that message in that video, do you? Even if we had our “facts straight”, these dumb liberals would still be begging to me to vote for Obama. So you should get your facts straight. This is why I decided to leave the democratic party.
THANK GOD!!!

ok first of all these “celebrities” are entitiled to their vote just as much as any of you are. so if they want to say they are for obama and want others to vote for him then thats smart becuase even though some of you beleive that these celebrites are nobodys, people actually do listen to them. whether you believe its fair or not is besides the point. if you dont like what they say then dont listen to them, you know you people who put negative things on here about them arent very american like and its just rude! you dont here them saying this kind of stuff about you, so why would you say these kinds of things about them. this reminds me of the debate tonight, when mccain kept making smug remarks to obama. at least obama has charisma and composure unlike others. i guess we can tell what kind of people vote for mccain and what kind vote for oboma. now if you dont like what i have to say i suggest you not to make rude comments about it, because it will not get you anywhere. it will just make you look rude. but i think some of you already did a pretty good job of that!
If you want to have a decent home to retire in make sure you vote for the right man. Look at Obamas grandmothers conditions - the poverty she lives in and he never tried to help her … What is really wrong with him? Does America know this African son?
Firstly congradulations Mc Cain for your debate win.
Obama should have seen to his grandmothers poverty first (years ago) before he tried to clean up Americas back yard.
Why is his grandmother still living in such abject poverty if Obama is the hero he makes out to be?
It would have taken just a few of his American dollars to help her build a better shack
well im from peru :) so i dont really understand what republicans and the other thing means :S
but wow is mccain that bad? :S
some ppl r soooo afraid of him to win and some want him to win sooo bad so i really dont understand it
but what i do see is more obama “fans”
so idk
good luck usa :)
ARE YOU KIDDING ME!
WOW WHAT DUMB DUMBS!
really, WHY ARE THEY VOTING FOR BARACK OBAMA!? THEY NEVER SAY WHY YOU WANNA KNOW WHY CAUSE THEY KNOW THERE ONLY VOTING FOR WHOS YOUNGER AND THEY KNOW THATS A STUPID REASON! BLAKE LIVELY AND PENN BADGLEY SUCK IT CAUSE BARACK OBAMA IS A MUSLIM! AND WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT “TALK TO YOUR PARENTS ABOUT MCCAIN” HE FOUGHT FOR THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA HIS WHOLE LIFE, WHAT IS THERE TO BE AFRAID ABOUT?! HOW ARE THEY NOT CONCERNED ABOUT BARACK HUSSAIN OBAMA, SOMEONE WHO LIES AT EVERY CONVENTION AND REFUSES TO WEAR ANYTHING AMERICAN! IDIOTS! TO THE CELEBS OF THIS COUNTRY: WHO TAUGHT YOU ABOUT POLITICS CAUSE YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THEM!
Wow, people. I agree that the thing Zac Efron said about voting is very good, not endorsing one particular candidate, but voting in general. I say wow though for all the hate that is here. People are saying McCain is on crack and Obama will ruin America. Okay, both of those are false statements. Why can’t we just respect eachothers opinions? I know it is easier said than done, but I do agree with the people that say encouraging voting altogether is the right thing to do!
Everyone needs to chill, it’s a joke. it’s meant to be taken light heartedly. No one is trying to force you to vote for anybody- they are just voicing their opinions, which I see nothing wrong with. They are just trying to find new creative and comedic ways to get people interested in politics and go vote- I think the ad was well made and is a funny parody.
And if anyone is stupid enough to vote one way just because a celebrity is voting for them, they shouldn’t be voting in the first place, and their vote has little meaning either way.
And i’m sorry Katie, but you have little substantial reasoning in your incredibly childish rant. Calling Obama a muslim and making fun of his name is not the right way to go about supporting a candidate- if anything it just makes McCain supporters look bad, and you aren’t helping your cause at all. Do you think Obama chose his name or how he was brought up or who his parents were? Those are not the things that qualify you to be president. What qualifies you is the person you are and the things you believe in, not your name or religion. Do you think that because his parents named him that he shouldn’t run for President? And because McCain served our country he has the right to be president? I think it goes a bit deeper then that- just because you were in the military doesn’t mean any soldier can run the country. And who cares what Obama wears? Do you really think he would be running for president of the United States if he had a problem with the flag or wasn’t “patriotic”?
This is to everyone no matter who you support: IF YOU WANT TO MAKE A POINT, MAKE ONE THAT MATTERS- LIKE POLICIES- INSTEAD OF FOCUSING ON THE SUPERFICIAL AND IRRELEVANT
well this is just my opinion but i think BARACK OBAMA IS GOING TO BE AN AWESOME PRESIDENT!plus he already won so get over it friggen babies!and who says celebs cant tell you who to vote i think its great that there taking a stand for who they want to win and there a part of the world too!PEOPLE ARE SO RACIST THESE DAYS!
Its probably due to this STUPID things as to why Obama won. Great for our country. This is one of the most ridiculous things I have seen yet.
