Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama takes the cover of the latest issue of Rolling Stone. Here are some of the interview’s highlights:
Tell me your reaction when you first heard that he had picked Sarah Palin as his running mate. I didn’t know her, so it was a surprise decision. Look, you have to give them credit: It obviously energized the conservative wing of the party. And that’s worth something in politics.
Weren’t you shocked, at least a little, by the choice of someone with no real experience on the national stage? As I said, we didn’t know her, so we were surprised. It wasn’t anticipated.
Looking back over the past eight years, what’s the thing that Bush screwed up the worst? I think Iraq has to rank number one. Although the economy and his failure, utterly, to anticipate the dangers of such a highly leveraged Wall Street, combined with such a highly leveraged federal government, combined with such highly leveraged consumers, at a time when we knew that baby boomers are about to retire and we need to start storing the acorns for the winter — it’s breathtaking. The level of irresponsibility that’s taken place over the last eight years is breathtaking.

Obama wants to spread the wealth? WTF?
For all the people voting for Obama just know that you are also voting for.
1. abortion to be legal : Obama claims that every woman has the right to choose.. true in that sense.. but it’s no longer a choice of just ONE person when there is a living thing inside of you that deserves the chance to live, yet he’s going to allow teenage girls to get abortions even those that aren’t even old enough to drive.
2. Increasing tax plans.. as John McCain said why would you want to raise taxes for ANYONE? && Why would anyone in America WANT to pay for higher taxes? I mean if you want to give your government even more money then go for it..
3. && Obama hasn’t been in the senate nearly as long as McCain has.. He’s all talk right now. I’ll give it to the guy, he’s smooth and a fast talker and all. but that’s all he is. TALK. McCain really is what America is all about… He’s fought long and hard in war and has served for his country almost all his life demonstrating how much he cares for this country .. All the immature people that are making comments on his age and such need to get over it. With age comes wisdom and experience. All of which McCain has in order to become the president of this country.
There are too many reasons to list as to why McCain would make the better president that i couldn’t possibly list in 5000 words.
Clearly those who want a president with great plans, and experience should vote McCain.

I think John McCain made it clear in tonight’s debate that Obama has no clear way of paying for is lifechanging “programs” and that ultimately he will raise taxes. The Ganf of 3 (Obama, Pelosi, Reid) will not take over.

ughhhhh…I saw the debate tonight and it’s confirmed my belief that McPain as the President will be a huge mistake. He made me very uncomfortable- his dismeanor was very intense- nervous, boiling to the point of popping a vein and I felt was just rolling out words with no sustance to what he was saying….. My hair on my arms felt like they were standing up…..shivers! McPain will mean big pain if he is elected,

I have to say…I really like Obama…but have questioned some of these darn people he has associated with….McCain? I think he is too old….I am sorry but he is….I normally go Republican but this since 2001 I have been wondering WTF?
