Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer are giving their romance a second chance, according to reports.
After ending their four-month relationship earlier this year, Jen, 39, and John, 30, dined at the romantic Il Mulino restaurant in Manhattan last weekend.
The night before, the couple joined friends for a dinner Boston’s Mantra restaurant.
An insider tells Star that John had been sending Jennifer emails about rekindling their summer romance: “At first Jennifer was afraid to respond to John’s messages because she was afraid he’d break her heart again. The emails were especially poetic — like love songs. He said he’d never stop loving her and he’s been very, very persuasive.”

Jen doesn’t have to try to beat anybody. You morons are trying to put Jen and Angelina up against each other. Obviously they have some of the same qualities or Brad wouldn’t have been with Jen. If you believe that Brad and Jen are friends. Tell me, why she’s NEVER publicly congratulate him on the birth of his children? What kind of friend is that! It’s a good match. Glad to see that Jennifer is finally willing to ackowledge that John is more suited to her, that he is at her level in all ways and she has finally stopped overachieving in love (Brad, Orlando, Gerald…she needed all of them more than they needed her), John is just like her, just average and as he just breathes for publicity and public adoration and dating her seems to bring that, so they are a great match made in pap heaven.
