OlderMichelle Williams Loves The Draping Effect
Michelle Williams adds softness and femininity to her modern look with a draped Alexander Wang mini at the screening of her new movie, Synecdoche, New York, at AMC Loews 19th Street East on Wednesday in New York City.
The 28-year-old actress was joined by writer/director Charlie Kaufman at the screening, which was sponsored by The Cinema Society and Mulberry. Here’s a quick film synopsis via Wiki: “After the inception of Theatre director Caden Cotard’s (Philip Seymour Hoffman) new play, he discovers that his various autonomic functions are shutting down one at a time. The movie goes into themes such as the nature of family, of home, and of male-female relationships, all while blurring reality and representation in a nature consistent with the earlier work of Kaufman.”
Synecdoche, New York, which was produced by Michelle’s rumored beau Spike Jonze, opens in limited release next Friday, October 24.

Like the dress and the shoes just not together.
It’s so frustrating when people say that she is over Heath. You can clearly see traces of sadness in her eyes. . . She lost the father of her child for god’s sake, even with the breakup (pre-death), she will always love him because of the commonality they share, Matilda. She has been through a lot. She seems like a great mother to little Matilda. And she looks great! Props to her. Stay strong Michelle!

There are no traces of sadness in her eyes. She always looks like that, unless she is looking at a man, then she lights up. The photos of her with Spike Jonze prove this. She is CRAZY for him, just as she was with all her many exes.
By the way, did you guys hear about how rude she was to the paps standing outside the building for this event? They had waited FOUR HOURS and she didn’t have the courtesy to even stop to pose for even ONE SECOND for them. So incredibly RUDE. Sorry, I know so many people who just can’t stand the sight of her and hate her acting too.

I consider it far more frustrating that the topic Heath always has to come up when she is mentioned. Of course it was a great loss for her (as for many others) and all that, but come on let the woman get over this story! It’s so anoying how people always see “sadness” in her eyes. Life get’s on and so is she, so let the woman live! Plus I agree with whoever said that she often looks like this - and has before January 2008!
Also, I don’t think she ought to be friendly to any pathetic stalker who is just labelled otherwise for carrying a camera along his way and taking pictures of her! Even IF he waits 4 hours!
A delicate cocktail dress requires a feminine heel in a tone that blends with the leg which would crate length and draw the eye up and back to the face.
The effect of the casual heavy boot draws the eye down accentuating the shortness of Michelle’s legs.
This boot would be better suited with a more funky jean or pant.

For those of you who are commenting about why does Heath always get brought up when she is mentioned…isn’t it obvious? He was the best thing that ever happened to her. She’ll never have another man as good-looking as him, just look at Spike Jonze (UGH!). I understand that she’s an actress in her own right, but at the end of the day the thing she’ll be remembered for is being ‘Heath Ledgers baby mama’. And you all know it’s true, some of you may not want to admit it.
Heath was a beautiful and talented soul who left the earth too soon, may his spirit rest in peace and his memory endure forever.
I´m truly happy for her, great career and I´m not here to discuss her clothes for god sake! She´s a actress not a model…

I would define a “bad actress” as someone who cannot act for their life, someone you cringe when you see onscreen. Michelle is a wise person - she chooses low key movies, judges by script and not publicity and always shines no matter the role. Just because the movie isn’t big budgeted or highly regarded doesnt mean its a bad movie - and even if it is, does that really make HER a bad actress? I would consider that a fault on the directors and producers part.
As for the paparazzi comment - as a photographer, i know how difficult it is to get a shot. We’re talking hundreds of paparazzi at press events, all at different places shooting at different directions. It’s not her job to continually stop and pose for everyone - if they didn’t make the shot its too bad, but it doesnt make her “rude”
