Katie Holmes wears her own design at the after-party celebrating the opening night of her Broadway play, All My Sons, on Thursday night at New York City’s E-Space. The 29-year-old actress wore a unique strapless jumpsuit over her lace top.
Entertainment Weekly have All My Sons a B-. Read the review at EW.com. USA Today gives it 2.5 stars out of 4, calling Katie’s debut a little off-key.

Well, if Katie Holmes thought she would reignite her career a la Nicole Kidman with her stage performance, she must be bitterly disappointed. She has consistently received the weakest reviews of anybody in the cast. Unless she makes some changes to her performance, this foray into Broadway will be a total bust.
Reignite her career? She is a promising talent who is already doing so much for her young age.She is also passing the socalled myth of wives marrying superstars that they cant overshadow their talented powerful hubbies.
Katie is not like Kidman,Aniston and Paltrow. WTG Katie.
Katie is on the rise and I will see her career as fading once she resorts to nudeness and Playboy!

Iron chef, you could not be more right. Katie Holmes is nothing like Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Aniston, and Gwyneth Paltrow. All three of those actresses became successful without their husband’s help. Katie Holmes? You would have to be extremely naive to think that Tom Cruise’s notoriety didn’t get Holmes her role in All My Sons. By the way, Kidman and Paltrow both did stage productions to much higher praise than Holmes(and they were actually the main stars of their plays, not supporting like Holmes).
All My sons grossed high on the first weekend of previews - as can be expected of a new play with a celebrity cast. Afterwards, Equus again “charged ahead by $80,000 with total earnings of ($740,746). The Katie Holmes co-starrer “All My Sons” ($690,900) reported its highest tally so far.”

As for the Bad reviews, Katie shouldn’t be depressed at all. Even Julia Roberts was panned by critics when she did her Broadway debut. NY theater critics are tough to please.

I saw the play one week ago, and i think Katie did a “good” work. for sure she isn’t a very gifted actress, but like her there’s many in Hollywood unhapilly….her role isn’t too big but in a gap 1-5 i would give her a rate of 3.i’m not a huge fan of the play tough…

i don’t like Katie, i think she is just a media seeker as her husband…in my opinion she is just married to become famous, because she isn’t a very good actress to become famous by her own talent!she has a lack of style and she looks quite bad here…i didn’t see the play yet, i intend to do it, but i’m sure she does a fair work, she can’t be brilliant because she doens’t have the talent to be like that!

As expected, Katie Holmes made a fool of herself getting on stage with the all-star cast. Read for the reviews. The role was bought by Tom Cruise and everyone knows it. No director in their right mind would have put her on stage.
At least she wore a BAD OUTFIT to match her BAD ACTING!!!!

Broadway plays are always risky so the show dosen`t support her career at all !Truth is, Katie probably thought (or was promised) that her career was going to blast off after she hooked up with Tommy Girl. It didn’t. i dont think so

That review from the Wall street journal really was cruel to Katie. But it got one thing wrong. All my Sons is not the highest grossing play in broadway. That title goes to the mega musicals. Straight dramas only play second fiddle to the musicals. And even Equus did better than Katie’s drama this week.
Bad luck about the bad reviews though. Stll, she’s only supporting cast. And this is her first play. But She should have prepared for it better though. Voice projeciton is very important in theater. Theater critics easily spot that. They specialize in the difference between Theater acting (which is superior) and movie acting (a tad inferior). LOL

her fellow star from dawsons michelle williams was on broaway some 6-7 years ago with “Killer Joe” and Mike Leighs “Smelling A Rat” and critics and people praised her to death…and Katie is the famous on?. she can`t even sing.
