Some Republican supporters were interviewed after a rally in Ohio by Republican VP nominee Sarah Palin. Here are some of the misconceptions they had of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama:
– “I’m afraid if he wins, the Black will take over.”
– “When you’ve got a Negro running for President, you need a first stringer. He’s definitely a second stringer.”
– “He seems like a wolf in sheep’s clothing. I believe Palin is filled with the Holy Spirit and I believe she’s going to bring honesty and integrity to the White House.”
– “He must support terrorists. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it must be a duck. And that to me, is Obama.”
– “Just the whole Muslim thing. A lot of people forgot about 9/11. I don’t know, it’s just a little unnerving.”
– “Obama and his wife. I’m afraid they could be anti-White.”
– “I don’t like the fact that he thinks us white people are trash. Because we’re not!”

That’s it for me. If I want to have left wing political rhetoric thrown at me I will go to NBC.com. This is officially it for me and this site. I hope others will find their entertainment fix on a variety of other sites that refrain from selective samplings of indiividuals that are as ignorant as the same selective left wing ideaology which for me at this point includes you Jared and this site.
How about some one on one interviews with lower class Obama supporters? Maybe from Luis Farrakhaan and the gang OR better yet Ayers and Wright. OR let’s see a clip from Reverend white talking ignorance about whites. He is no different than these ignorant people you are featuring and trying to represent as a base of McCAin supporters.

And for your information, not ONCE, but THRICE Michelle Obama said that this was the FIRST time she has ever in her adult life been proud to be an American. (Well for goodness sake, her husband is running for the highest office in the country!) I think it’s a total shame because the judgment of both Barrack Hussein Obama and Michelle Obama is so horribly skewed that this country is in for the worst depression it has ever had should he be elected. You do NOT raise taxes when the economy is suffering this badly! The media is so outrageously biased it is absolutely pathetic!

Why don’t you go into the slums and projects and interview all the people that Obama is supposedly going to save (with America’s tax dollars) and ask them to voice their “misconceptions” about John McCain? A country with a history of 200 years built by mercenaries, fortune hunters and criminals looking to make a quick buck stepping on the corpses of all native population. A country which allows its citizens to die if they don’t have insurance. It is not mind boggling that people consider Palin holly, but the fact that this country ever managed to call itself great.

I actually saw another one done by Nader’s people where they interview Obama fans (27 exactly) & 3 of them said they were voting for him because he was black, 4 because he was a Dem & the rest because he was bringing change. When those people were asked what specifically he would bring to the table not one could say what he stands for, lol. You know ignorance is the worst thing in this world & frankly too many people are stupid. Everyone should check the facts of both people & make an intelligent decision based on the facts & not on anything else.

McCain-Palin MUST BE DEFEATED so the smaller percentage of ignorant whites of America can be truly educated for the first time in their life! I can overlook a great deal more in those of the black culture (whose ancestors were oppressed as slaves by their white owners) than I can ignorant whites who by virtue of the color of their skin have experienced greater opportunities in this country and still remain uneducated and bigotted.
Both John McCain and Sarah Palin have incited racism and hatred on the campaign trail from the ignorant whites who attend their rallies. If anything were to happen to Senator Obama, Sarah Palin needs to be held accountable.

I have seen chauvinists in my travels but saying that he didn’t put his hand on his chest or blind loyalty without ever questioning anything has only been seen in the middle ages with Cardinals and the inquisition.
For God’s sake, you have brains - use them. How can you be proud to be an American when you’re the only country that doesn’t sign the environment act to limit pollution, when you’re the only country starting wars so that your gun industry can flourish, when you’re the only country that demands other countries to surrender their war criminals while you refuse to do the same with your own, when you detain people in Guantanamo bay without ever seen a lawyer or ever having a trail? Yellow Rose - Michelle Obama’s comments might be a real relfection of what it is like to be black in America. If the racism that comes through in some comments ( not many thank goodness!) is an example, then I guess there is good reason for her to say she finally feels proud to be American. There is an old saying about walk a mile in my shoes …
However, it could have been a more general comment. And honestly, what does America have to feel proud about in the last 8 years? Invading other sovereign countries, ignoring the wishes of strategic allies, economic mayhem, torture of prisoners …
Let’s hope come election day that all Americans can feel proud that they have elected a President according to an honest & fair evaluation of the candidate’s policies, & not because of colour, or age, or looks, or personality!

Why does this video surprise anyone? The people attending the McCain/Palin rallies are the ‘base’ of the GOP Party (and Palin would draw Evangelicals and small town folk to rallies). In small towns and cities across the nation, race remains a hot button issue. While the media has chosen repeatedly to ignore this factor in regards to how people will vote on election day, I think it will weigh very heavily with voters. I live in Florida and racism is heavy in the Panhandle and across some sections of central Florida.
For example, if someone from CNN calls for a poll, how many people are going to honestly admit that race may influence their vote? Probably not too many (how many people have you met who have started sentences with, “I’m not a racist, but…”). I think we are being ignorant if we think race may not cost Obama the election. Once people get in a private voting booth, they are free to express their prejudices and stereotypes without anyone knowing.
We will just have to wait and see what happens election day. Meanwhile, I will be extremely proud to vote Obama/Biden!!
