I understand him completely, I’m a norwegian myself and I don’t think I can come up with one person that still admires america. It’s about 7 years since I was impressed by you. I’m speechless that you took the time to find, cut and paste the above in an effort to not only misconstrue his words to your own divisive end, but to say “without saying” that you Yellow Rose, really have no problem with anything in the video, and I’ll go so far as to type that you probably clapped too.

I’m just glad they found these people in Ohio (or Minnesota the other day) instead of West Virginia. I guess it’s encouraging to know that we are not alone in having our fair share of ignorant people. It’s just kind of scary that these people get to vote - we’ve let Bubba run our country into the ground. I’m not saying they’re not salt-of-the-earth folks, but critical thinking ability is important when making decisions about the direction of our nation.

We all know that McCain and Palin started fueling this rumor when they started asking their base “who is the real Obama?” and started saying “he is palling around with terrorists”. McCain even brought it up again in his debate last night. All McCain has now is his smear campaign which has reached a dangerous level. God please watch over Barack so he is NOT assasinated!

Regarding patriotism, flag pins, the Pledge of Allegience, etc….

If flashing a flag pin and holding your hand over your heart to recite the pledge is such an all-important characteristic in selecting a president, then any number of kindergartners will do the job just fine. Get real, people. Your patriotism is not someone else’s. You define patriotism by waving around the red, white and blue and refusing to question your government. That’s not patriotism. That is ignorance. News flash - not everything the United States does is right. We are not the moral authority in the world. We fall well behind other industrialized nations in education and healthcare, just to name a few things. We suddenly have started invading countries who did not provoke us, but then criticizing Russia for doing the same. We condoned institutionalized racism and sexism for centuries, and in many ways we still do. We dropped atomic bombs on innocent people and fried them. We once supported the very terrorists we now fight against. So while we may be a land of opportunity and while we may have it better than people in other parts of the world, if you truly believe that everything WE do is right and everything everyone else does is wrong, you are simply foolish.

Yes Yellow Rose, we poor non-Americans who have managed to survive - according to the history books - as nations couple of thousands of years through wars, plague and the middle ages, yes, we lean on you, a country built purely on adventurers, fortune-hunters and mercenaries to keep us safe!!!! I guess, it wasn’t USA that put Saddam Hussein in power in the 80s and it wasn’t USA that supplied him with guns all those years. But it was the USA that declared him a terrorist when they couldn’t control him any longer. Thank you for that. You created the terrorist but you were right there to kill him and cover up your asses. Typical Bible toting Redneck rhetoric. The uneducated Republicans are clinging to religiously backed stereotypes because they are afraid to admit that time are changing. Religion is the opiate of the masses, but it always seems to come up around election time. To think that the founding fathers actually put a clause in the Constitution proclaiming the separation of Church and State. Then again, the Constitution went right out the window when Bush took over.

For some ignorant and uneducated supporters of the flag, pin or the salute, you do know that holding your hand over your heart to recite the pledge is a fascist move that was established by the Romans in ancient times and later adopted by Hitler and the Nazis? Just a thought of the things you’re proud of!!!!

Perhaps McCain gets up each morning, sighs and says, “Ah-h, I love the smell of racism in the morning, it smells like victory!” I hope not but he is doing nothing except empowering and enabling these people. Racism is alive and well in this country and McCain’s partnership with the likes of Palin and these lesser educated and ignorant white trash is despicable and outrageous!”

So Michael, are you stating that Palin is lesser educated and white trash? Just wanting to clarify your statement and am wondering what you base that on?

The fact that McCain and Palin would mislead so many people is appalling. It is also sad that she can lie without batting an eye and he is Mr. Blinks when he lies.
