The trailer for the 2009 Nickelodeon Original Movie Spectacular! has been released!
Here’s the movie’s synopsis: Nikko (Nolan Gerard Funk) is the next rock superstar and he plans to conquer the world with his band, Alloy. Courtney’s (Tammin Sursok) world revolves around her sequin-filled show choir, Spectacular. But when Alloy kicks Nikko out of the band and Spectacular loses their best male singer to a rival choir, Courtney convinces Nikko to join Spectacular. Will Nikko be the force that Spectacular needs to finally beat their rival choir, Ta-Da? Or will Nikko’s rock edge be too much for the glittery world of the show choirs? Get your jazz hands ready because this is going to be SPECTACULAR!

i hated hsm and camp rock, but nolan is hottt and he can sing, plus how cute is his name??!!

This ISN’T a HSM copy cat cause its going to be awesome-r!
High School Musical may be a “copy-cat” but they brought it back to our generation of movies. They brought it back at the right time.They brought musicals back. No one can ever beat them.
Spectacular and The American Mall are trying to beat them and it’s stupid how they have it out right after the High School Musicals.
If you guys think HSM ’sucks’ then why is so popular? There’s a higher percentage of people that like it than for the people that don’t.
This movie is going to be exactly like HSM, no doubt about it. It’s set in the theater just like HSM was too.
I must admit the lead guy in it can sing, but the rest sound fake.
We’ll just have to wait and see, but it can’t beat HSM. It’s kinda impossible to.
Just let Nick try, and watch them fail miserably, just like The American Mall did because MTV and Nickelodean or somehow connected.
I know this is another musical and probably is a copy of HSM but I’d definitely rather see this version of a musical than HSM. Every time in HSM, lil Troy and Gabi always have to start drama a be all “I’m sorry Troy, we can’t be together,…Goodbye!”
Even if I havent seen Spectacular! I’m sure it will be hella a lot better to me than HSM.

HSM and Camp Rock were overrated and this seems like its gonna be underrated because people are gonna compare it to those 2 lame movies.

And Tammin is so much prettier than Vannessa(yuck)
And there voices are better and i watched the trailer and there doesnt look like theres gonna be a Sharpay(or mean blond girl lol)

I honestly cannot wait 4 this movie! HSM was awsome, and Camp Rock was a success. I think this is going to be a really great movie. Who knows? It might not, but according to the trailer, I can’t wait.
I don’t know why everyone’s complaining about this movie being a copy of hsm.. Actually, High School Musical itself was inspired by the popular 80’s flick Grease…. Besides, I always thought hsm was kind of dumb, and I never did like it because of the stereotypical gender roles. This movie looks much better.

More like Camp Rock than High School Musical, but with less famous people.
I mean, Camp Rock has same sort of moral: rockstar wannabe meets good girl who then shows him the way to follow his heart through music blahblahblah, then the two will bond and happily ever after catchy song in the end with the rest of the cast.
I do think i will end up being a cute movie, BUT will definitely get less craze than HSM.

I never liked HSM 1,2,or 3, Camp Rock was waaaayyyyy better, and it got more views than HSM 1!

This is just a total copy of High School Musical. So was Camp Rock. The Jonas Brothers were the only ones with tallent in that movie but it was still stupid and this movie is even more stupid. I mean come on. This movie makes me sick.

ok. first of all there was no kareoke scene. and secondly, u r all saying its copying hsm but if u read the plot, not really. Its another musical and thats all u guys are comparing it to. i dont kno if it will be better than the hsm movies but i hope it is cuz those werent that good. they had some flaws. Like at the end of the first movie everyone was friends and in the second one sharpay like hated everyone and tried to steal troy again. wth? the plot is nothing like hsm tho so stop comparing them to eachother. theyre both musicals and thats it.
