Rosielee9, know the feeling all too well, unfortunately my girl is my one and only. Even though tempers have flown and quite a bit, there were moments when it was pure joy to be with her. It somehow outweighs the rest. I’ve always travelled with her and it was difficult letting her go. You are lucky your son is overtly affectionate. I really find it adorable when a young man gives his mom a peck or a hug for no reason, perhaps for just being his mom.

#114, The entertainment industry is what it is. You have to have the whole package 1) Good or extraordinary singing voice. There are many good singers out there so the competition is tough. Hence, the looks come in. One good example is Zac, he had the looks and everything else. His problem was his gap teeth which he had fixed and then he worked very hard at the gym, he didn’t get a buff body by accident. You could opt for contacts, Ashley wears contacts. She had mousy brown hair but look at her now. Vanessa had braces in her teeth. So 2) is definitely looks 3) being able to dance helps tremendously 4)exposure and experience counts alot. So you better get going. Vanessa didn’t get where she is now by accident. She went for alot of classes, dance and singing and I think acting too. I hope I have helped you in some way.

Yes there are lotsof pictures from the premier but on them Zac is rarely smiling and the photo’s with Vanessa he can’t even be bothered to give her a smile half the time but has no touble giving Ashley a hug and his big sile, poor Vanessa on more than one photo she is looking at Zac and giving him a lovely smile and he just stands there like a blody statue and totally ignores her how is that being in love when you ignore your gf but have no problems being all pally with her bf.

Open your mind and see it this way, I figure Zac sometimes overconsciously tries too hard to maintain an indifference in public functions where Disney is hosting. But have you ever noticed that he does throw caution to the wind in many instances and i can name you quite a few. If you are a true fan and observant enough you will notice lots of Zanessa moments as so many have pointed out. One very good example are the Ashley birthday photos and the elle photo shoot. Cool it and calm down, you doubters of Zac. Watch the unscripted interviews and see for yourself. Finally, Zac admitted what I always thought, he tried to introduce himself to Vanessa at the Thunderbirds Premiere. She knew he was there but couldn’t remember him. He had a thing for Vanessa way back then. I guess, she was so caught up with her first redcarpet premiere. There was no call for him to mention that as the question was aimed at Vanessa. It’s my guess that he saw Vanessa for the first time and it stayed with him. My intuition has proved me right.

There’s also the afterpremiere pictures of him holding Vanessa. Come on, don’t expect him to be like Spencer Pratt, all PDA . It’s so fake and makes me sick to my stomach.

I could care less about them showing excessive pda on the red carpet. It would be idiotic to do that & attention who*ring. Also saying stuff in print interviews rly doesn’t matter. They seem to have an agreement on what they both are willing to say.

evelyn, The entire interviews from start to finish was zac & ashley flirting. They were the only two who interacted at every opportunity. The hand holding& flicking was also unnecessary. Sorry call it a omg so cute brother/sister thing if you want but it was rude .I’m not saying they are together( they aren’t) & I really don’t think they will be. But either way show some respect to the fact that you both are in other relationships.

There is a difference between trying to make all the hsm related interviews & such Not be about your relationship and using that excuse to ignore and be ridiculously reserved to the person you are with while being excessively close to others. He does the latter.

They have been together for 3 yrs, there have many cute moments that we have seen, great pictures from all the recent premiers & past events and all that. They keep it private. I do think they do love each other and seem to be great to & for each other. Both Vanessa & Zac seem happy too.

But stuff like this reminds that it is odd/annoying that she is okay with him throwing her off to the deep end whenever he feels like it. & that includes being all over ashley. Maybe she doesn’t see it that way but I do.

And as an addition all of this would not be an issue if she was the same way in these situations. Sure she closely interacts with all the cast members on the hsm bts stuff but never in these type of things. #260, i agree that zac and ashley are old enough (maybe not mature enough) to know that what they did with the hands could be interpreted as inappropriate. especially since both of them are in committed relationships. but i just saw it as zac being silly because his hand accidentally hit ashleys when he flung it down over the chair arm or wherever.

Now, let me tell you something about Ashley from my observations. Am not a fan of hers but she is a nice girl. From all the videos and behind the scenes I’ve seen from hsm1 to hsm3, she is an overtly affectionate person and she hugs just about everyone she’s familiar with, Chris, Corbin, lucas, Zac, kenny and of course,Vanessa. She cuddles up to her and is always seen hugging Vanessa.

From the unscripted interviews, I also see an underlying shyness about her unlike Vanessa who seems to be the entertaining one. Zac on the other hand is the clown and always has something funny to interject but he always look to Vanessa when he is speaking as though seeking her quiet approval or disapproval of what he’s about to say or has said.

i honestly don’t see his banter or tomfoolery with Ashley as anything but. It is like a brother/sister relationship in my opinion, someone you’re familiar with. He knew Ashley way before Vanessa and they were friends then. Besides, i would say Ashley is certainly not his type. Can’t you see a pattern here. zac is working way to hard on the “keep the relationship private” thing. it’s all good that he doesn’t want to talk about it, but he needs to relax when he’s with vanessa and go with the flow and not be so rigid.

in the moveifone thing he did seem to be laid back and cool, then he had to play with ashley’s hands. makes you think he got a sensitivity chip missing.

No actually Vanessa is they shy one. Ashley has always been in everyone’s face. Go watch other cast interviews. Vanessa always sits back and lets everyone else talk . That includes here.That’s just how she is. Hell in this interview Vanessa was too quiet, gave the occasional laugh, and twiddled her hair. She seems to like fading in the background in cast interviews unless someone forces her out. Which is fine.
Here Ashley was the one talking at every opportunity and bantering/joking with everyone. I don’t know what the fu ck you are seeing with Ashley being shy. She has never been, nor has she stated that she has, and the annoying over affectionate thing she has just proves that more.

I NEVER said I know anything about their relactionship I’m just making my observations which I’m entitled to do and don’t resort to name calling anyone else just becuase they have a different opinion to mine, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and to express it.

Zac is not perefect and I dare say Vanessa is’nt but she sure as hell seems to care more about Zac’s feelings in these situations than what Zac does about her’s. Yes she has other photo’s done with people but she DOES NOT openly flirt with them or even touch them in ways that Zac and Ashley do with each other regardless of how long they’ve each other.

Sorry, I have to agree with Zac is a Rat. I am a Van fan first and foremost and while I don’t know what their relationship is behind doors, I wouldn’t comment on it.

I used to be a Zanessa fan, as for now, I’m just a Vanessa fan until I see otherwise. Cute and longing looks doth not a relationship make. A real man is known by how he treats a woman, privately or publicly. I wouldn’t comment privately but publicly Zac fails on all counts.

Any criminal can buy flowers for a woman and look lovingly at her and fluff over her and yet emotionally abuse her. I’m too old to be taken in by ‘chemistry’ and lovingly looks.

Publicly, from what I can see and what they do. Ashley is not a good friend to Vanessa. She says the words but her actions show otherwise. It’s not escaped my notice that it is bloggers who love Ashley that bash Vanessa, then Ashley never speaks up for Vanessa. Ashley’s personality always seems to dominate Vanessa’s in group interviews. Watch Vanessa’s individual interviews and group ones and see the difference.

Whatever, Ashley says, she’s only happy if she getting more attention than Vanessa. Vanessa’s friendship is the genuine one because she sits back and refuses to compete for attention with Ashley.

As for Zac, Whatever he is to Vanessa in private, publicly, he’s an a.s.s. and does not show respect for Vanessa’s public image. She takes a lot of crap publicly for dating him and he so far has done nothing to ever better her public image. On the make-up and showering rumors, Vanessa defended him publicly but I’m yet to hear him defend or speak up for her publicly even as a co-star.

That is why Ryan Seacrest has been wanting her to hook up with someone else. A real man. Zac is just a boy and his immaturity is showing. A lot of guys in the entertainment circle are really irritated that he’s colonised Vanessa and is not treating her well publicly when there are so many richer and more established celebrities waiting for him to step aside and who cold help her out more publicly.

The good thing is that HSM is over. They should move on to other projects. I’m so happy Zac is not moving in with her. She needs her space and hopefully will come out from his shadow and start interacting with other mature male stars and really blossom.

She is a beautiful girl with a compelling aura and Zac has been a stumbling block for her and her career. the sooner she goes solo and does her own thing, the better for her.

Sometimes, someone has to lose something to see how precious it is.

So late. Interesting discussion and I definitely see the points on both sides, however, as there is a lot that is not known, I’ll keep my comments on this one to myself.

Vanessa is looking stunning as usual! She is really the queen of the red carpet. I love that she made a point of not being dressed up but yet outshone every other girl there.

She’s just demonstrated that her allure does not lie in beautiful clothes but is all natural and all the more compelling in its simplicity. She was just glowing.

Love, love, love how she is very comfortable with her mixed heritage. she doesn’t deny it and does not exploit it. She just is who she is and I love the beautiful woman she is becoming. Hope she gets to visit the Philippines soon.

I’m really excited for what lies beyond HSM 3 for her. She is a late bloomer and does her things without much hype but she is so unique and genuine that she’ll have staying power way beyond the hyped up ones.

That party was planned by Vanessa. She is the hostess and from what he said, his family was probably there.

From the premiere and afterparty pics(which were private and hence they were more relaxed), there is nothing wrong with their relationship.

In the pics, she’s standing with Zac and his dad. Someone’s foot is showing by the car door and I think it’s Dylan.

For some reason, she particularly is not interested in baring her private life to the public and she doesn’t appear to care what people think of her as long as her life is private. To me that suggests strength of character and if she is not fazed by public opinion, we shouldn’t on her behalf.

Whatever people think about her relationship, good or bad, she knows the reality and chooses to remain in it while fiercely keeping it private. i think we should respect that privacy. It’s their relationship and their business.

Aw, beverley, I know how you must have felt. I recently had a scare too. My gynae did an ultrasound on me and found something in one of my kidneys and referred me to the hosp. for another scan plus bone density and mammogram. Everything was fine except something the radiologist calls it a water bag or cyst and said it was quite common. Well, my sis is undergoing radiotherapy and a friend just completed her chemo. So nothing like a good HSM3 movie to pick me up. Life goes on. I have to wait till next week to buy my tickets. Probably won’t go for the premiere but a few days later. Can’t stand the Crowd.

I feel the same way. I used to be such a huge Zanessa fan. But lately, my main concern is Vanessa, and whether she’s getting the short end of the stick. Since they were found out, Vanessa has been taking the back seat to Zac and his career. She’s overshadowed by him and Vanessa has so much to offer, she shouldn’t settle on being the girl who’s role is to simply stand behind the guy, smile and look pretty.

But their priorities are so different. Zac’s is obviously his career first. You can tell, whenever he gives an excuse as to why he doesn’t want to talk about his relationship, usually it’s about how it will affect him or his career. How HE doesn’t want to be known for just his private life. How HE doesn’t want to be that “kind of celebrity”. Her priorities seem more equally distributed between family, friends, career and Zac.

What’s worse than Zac not talking about his relationship though, is him talking about it. He winds up saying stuff like “commitment’s too big a word for me” (so then what have you been doing in a relationship for 3 years?) or “I’m wearing this ring for a friend” (as if Vanessa physically forced him to put the ring on his finger).

And of course that sets off all types of reactions, most of them about how Vanessa’s a *****/****/tramp/siren for keeping Zac trapped in a “dead end relationship”, a relationship he’s “obviously not happy in”, when he “really wants to be with [insert name of female costar here]“. I don’t think it’s fair for people to point fingers at Vanessa for Zac’s behavior. I’m usually the type of person who supports the underdog, the person who’s kind of one step behind. Vanessa’s the underdog in this relationship…but she doesn’t have to be.

Reality is that people credit Zac with a maturity he has not attained yet. While i think he is still a decent guy and genuinely cares about Vanessa, he is just like any other guy in hollywood, me and my career first, then the woman. That’s normal with guys.

His father even said in a magazine when hsm first came out that Zac can be ruthless when he wants something.

He just got really lucky with Vanessa. She is the reason the relationship works because she balances out his not so desirable qualities and remains who she is irrespective of fame and public opinion. She is the one that is unique in the mature way she is handling a public relationship and a career at a young age and with the odds she’s facing.

There are worse things than being career focused. No guy is perfect, any woman in a relationship has to bear with one thing or the other. If she feels that his other good qualities which she is in a better position to know outweighs his public attitude then we should leave them to it.

One thing I know is that Vanessa is glowing and happy which tells me that she is happy with her life and relationship. I respect her enough to assume that if she’s unhappy in a relationship, she’ll walk out of it. She would have nothing to lose and a lot to gain.

To be fair to Zac, as long as he shuts his mouth in interviews. I don’t see the difference between him and Brad or Will or Hayden or Tom Cruise with their various partners even when posing on the red carpet. It’s a guy thing.

In fact, Denzel, Will and Tom’s wives careers had had to take the back seat to theirs. It’s the women that are stronger and keep the relationships together. Zac and Vanessa are still young and facing the same things. Vanessa is showing more maturity and composure but then girls usually are more mature at this stage.
