OlderVanessa Hudgens To Visit The Philippines
Vanessa Hudgens (in Calvin Klein) stands by her man and costar Zac Efron at the premiere of High School Musical 3: Senior Year at the Galen Center at the University Of Southern California on Thursday in Los Angeles.
19-year-old Vanessa, who finished off her look with Jimmy Choo “Premier” printed canvas platforms, was recently asked what she’s looking forward to when she finally gets to visit the Philippines. She answered, “I had an offer to actually go to the Philippines and do a show there, which unfortunately didn’t materialize. Hopefully, I will be able to do that sometime in the near future. My mom still hasn’t been back and it would just be nice to take her along, explore, hang out and see the world she grew up in. I can’t wait to go!”

katherine#173 Right On! You said it, nothing wrong with being proud of your heritage. Vanessa in her own right has what it takes to be where she is now and she so happens to have a filipino mother. it shouldn’t be held against her but the fact that she has had to overcome alot of prejudices along the way even now, is a show of strength in her character.
In Asian countries, family values is of utmost importance, respecting your elders and being filial and following traditions. In this respect I admire Vanessa the most. Even before she became famous, there was an early video of her proudly presenting her dad and you could see and feel the love between them.

Using you’re logic, I suppose African-Americans shouldn’t be proud of Obama, who’s only half-black.
I’m filipino and I’m proud of Vanessa for more than her heritage. She’s a beautiful, strong and talented girl. She has come such a long way, and we’ve watched her grow up and become an amazing young lady. She has unmatched confidence, style, beauty. Anyone who doesn’t see how great she is simply refuses to look hard enough. But it’s their loss, not Vanessa’s.

131 im filipino and im not proud vanessa is filipino bcoz i saw before in tv patrol ( filipino news ) they broadcast her naked pictures there and the fact shes part filipino famous star in US and with this controversy is embarassing to be honest

Her favorite Filipino foods are adobo, halo-halo, pancit and lumpia. “I eat a lot of rice,” she said laughing and disclosed that she has even taught Zac how to eat halo-halo. “Zac loves eating halo-halo,” she said.

yeah vanessa’s mom is a filipina. i’m here in the philippines and i wish vanessa could do a concert here or something. i believe she hasn’t visited here yet.
On the Inquirer interview that Malia shared…
Kenny Ortega gushed about Vanessa:
“She’s a beautiful young girl. For me, it must have been what it felt like to have Natalie Wood in front of your camera. She’s so exquisite! Also, she’s quite shy, gentle and sweet. She has a kind of fragility.
Yes there are lotsof pictures from the premier but on them Zac is rarely smiling and the photo’s with Vanessa he can’t even be bothered to give her a smile half the time but has no touble giving Ashley a hug and his big sile, poor Vanessa on more than one photo she is looking at Zac and giving him a lovely smile and he just stands there like a blody statue and totally ignores her how is that being in love when you ignore your gf but have no problems being all pally with her bf.
And in one photo you have Ashley, Zac and Vanessa in that order and mr efron has his around on Ashley’s butt again and looking like he can just about be bothered to put his arm around Vanessa, I’m sorry but that is just not right to treat your gf like that and to be so inconsidrate to her feelings an do actions like that. According to Ashley’s last inerview in that magazine she has never had feellngs like that for Zac yet she does’nt seem tomind where he puts his hand and Zac apparently has never fancied her in that way, wel I’m sorry but his actions say something completely different.
All I’d give him for his birthday if I was Vanessa was a swit goodbye and don’t bother coming back she deserves better.
