I would have once said the very same thing. Your example is of fall 2005. As are the Japanese interviews many fans love the most (made in 2003 for “Shattered Glass” and early summer 2005 for “SW - Ep. III”). But those days are long over. And all the recent stuff on him is not half as nice anymore, in the opposite, as an (ex-)fan (in my case) you only tend between being angry about the nonsense he states with an arrogant face expression and bold smugness (e.g. most recent Jay Leno-interview for “Jumper”/about the pigs and the swing - horrible!) or you’re simply ashamed for him (”E-Talk”, March 2007). Not to mention all his many, many lies.

And as of the latest post :

HC’s “damned surrealness” concludes …
- acts like a mannequin
- talks like Pinnochio (lying all the way)
- smokes like a chimney
- drinks hard like a fish
- personifies either Dorian Gray or Dr. Jeckyl & Mr. Hyde

And feel free to add more… - lol!

- As the passionate liar he is he didn’t need any effort to get into character when doing “Shattered Glass”, although claiming later it “exhausted” him, obviously just can’t stop lying this boy! ;-)

Shia is okay, not outstanding, but okay. I couldn’t name any really talented actor in this age group - and as I’ve stated before I wouldn’t want to “replace” Hayden either. BTW, I don’t hate him. I’m just very disappointed in him and sometimes bored so I decided to share my frustration with you who is probably just as bored as you’re around here as well? ;-)

he has been getting more pics recently becuz he is in LA. He used to never be there, he hates it but does whatever rach wants him to.

I never saw the OC before, i went on youtube, you guys are right that her and adam def go great together.

i also notice she likes to physically hit her men. i think she even said in an interview it was nice to hit hayden around or smack him around. She is a man beater and soul sucker. Hayden used to smile at papas politely and even talk to them a bit.

and yes, hayden has become more smug in interviews. he used to discuss his home life now, nothing, seems he even gets offended by the mention of it.

His life was so much better when it was just the fanBOYS who bashed him for being a “bad actor,” raping their childhoods by ruining Star Wars, etc.

Now the fanGIRLS have turned on him because he seems to have settled down with a girl who isn’t either one of them or Natalie Portman.

The same fan girls who cry and whine because they never see pictures of him want to accuse him of turning into a media ***** because he gets papped in L. A. I might agree if he was papped in like, Toledo, OH or something but it is not uncommon to get papped in L. A. And I’d rather see him smiling at them then acting like a douche covering his face or assaulting them for infringing on the oh-so-elusive “privacy” that other celebs claim they desire (while continuing to live in L. A., attend every event and red carpet, etc.) Comparatively speaking, we don’t see much of Hayden at all.

Oh well, I guess he can’t please everyone - especially not a group of girls who really need a shot of Thorazine. It’s sad that dislike of his girlfriend because she has smashed their fragile hopes and dreams has spilled over on to Hayden.

I find it utter pathetic that all the disillusioned overzealous fans feel betrayed because he lied about HIS PERSONAL LIFE and have thus taken to criticizing him for every single thing he does. I use to think you guys were stupid, I just find you guys pathetic now. Rather sad.

It is simply retarded to think that people who post here are jealous or hope to date him, it is the most ridiculous way to look at things. No one is jealous, people simply comment on the behavior of actors who are in the public eye. This one had hopes in the eyes of many, but now it has became obvious after so many years he has been in the industry that he has nothing to offer as a person and as an actor. During SW the director was blamed for his bad acting, and some thought that he had a real future and is worth being with someone as talented and intelligent as Natalie Portman, however, it is now obvious that she would not date someone so primitive and talentless as he is. His choice of roles and now a permanent girl in his life in a clear indication that he is almost as much of a loser as bilson is. Both are suck as people and actors. (Sorry for the redundancy).

Now there is the truth if I ever heard/read it. People are DISAPPOINTED in him and rightfully. The thing is….it happens every single time to ALL actors eventually. There’s a certain type of person the gravitates towards acting and it’s not necessarily a good/positive personality. There’s a reason why some actors feel like they are liars by profession. Just most of them CHOOSE to become a liar instead of realizing what they truly are…a storyteller. Big difference between the two. Hayden has CHOSEN to become the liar instead of the storyteller and that’s what has hurt the fans in apparently such a big way. It’s just nonsense and stupidity to call that jealousy.

Neither Stacy nor #62 were talking about jealous fangirls who want to date Hayden. But they are right. People here are disillusioned and overzealous and have become schizoid over it like Stacy implied.

Hayden will make his own way in life and when you put your hope so high on someone to live the way you want them too, instead of accepting them for who they are, you will always be disappointed.

I’m not disappointed in Hayden. He’s still the same interesting actor that caught my attention a long time ago.

Bravo Stacy! Its amazing how demented these fans are who think that Hayden personally lied to them about his love life. He lied to an E! Entertainment reporter who was prying into his personal life, an area where she had no business. He even told her in the same interview that his policy is to deny everything and to try to avoid those types of questions.

If a stranger came up to me and asked me personal and specific questions about my love life, I would lie too.

Bottom line is, as Cindy stated earlier, his private life is none of her business. I wish more people thought like her.

Suicide watch? Ha, ha, ha… FYI, I’m a woman, not a teenager fan girl. I fell for Hayden because he seemed to be a decent, modest man with very good values in a world which is getting crazier and cruder every day. He let out sentences with short over 20 which sounded more mature than some men I have met who are around 50 (and still searching for a meaning in their life), so I started to believe in him as somebody good, somebody to admire in our fast moving and changing world. Plus, he seemed to have an outstanding acting talent in “Higher Ground”, “LAAH” and “Shattered Glass”.
So, what I’ve lost are not teeny-dreams of a togetherness with him but the faith in just another person/man. And yes, that hurts.
Why is somebody sold totally different than he really is for so many years? If he would have sticked to his “the less people know about an actor, the more they buy his roles”-attitude everything would have been fine. He (or his girlfriend for him) decided to be overexposed on the media suddenly. I like many actors who are in relationships, and I would have been the first one to be happy for Hayden if I ever had the feeling it could have been right for him. But Bilson? A fame and public attention slave like her? No way! The sad thing is not that he is taken by somebody, that would be more than okay, but what this says about himself if he is with such an empty nutshell. That’s the message behind it. But I doubt that you will even try to understand my motives as you seem to have made your opinion already.

Stacy has already contradicted your opinion about her in her post #69. It is about dating him in her opinion (which it is not of course).
You instead seem to have got the point better. But why selling somebody in such an honorable image if he is not like that in fact? Is that fair? Nobody had asked him to present himself as honest and decent as he appeared to be for many years. And with such a good image the gap is even wider of course if this person cannot meet his own standards then. I also wouldn’t say anything if he’d just have changed a little bit. But he seems to have lost everything which he once seemed to consist of. And that’s indeed a bit much to accept, don’t you think? And his talent is gone too, BTW, nothing left of it in recent flicks.
