Katie Holmes leaves her apartment and heads to the Gerald Schoenfeld Theater for another performance of All My Sons in New York City on Saturday. During opening night last week, People interviewed Katie:
The show has been in previews for weeks. Did it feel different onstage tonight? There was definitely a lot more energy. The whole cast, we all got there about an hour and a half [early] and we had gifts for each other and we were running up and down the steps …. It felt like Christmas.
Is Tom supportive? He comes [to the theater] a lot. He came to the dress rehearsal. I was so nervous, and I saw him out there, and he made me feel so much better. Every time he’s there, I just feel like it’s going to be okay.
Is it difficult balancing your theater work with being a mom? It’s a great schedule, because [Suri and I] get to spend the whole day together and then I go and do the play. Then I come home and we play some more!
And Suri had her own dressing room at the theater? Yeah, we have a dressing room that is transformed into a playroom. It has a little piano.
First motherhood, then a marathon, and now your Broadway debut. What’s your next big challenge? Thanksgiving!

Why spend thousands of dollars on designer clothes, then throw them on so sloppily and leave the house with bedhead?

her own outfits.. So when is the press going to ask her about her
clothing line that she has with her stylist..Even Suri was her line…
She just puts on what ever and walks out the door.. and than it becomes a trend.. Why she was just famous for Dawsons Creek
before she met Tom Cruise

WTF!?!?! Is she nuts!! The show starts at 8PM, runs till 10PM or so and by the time she gets out of costume and into her waiting car with the giant burly bodyguards (UGH) it’s got to be 11PM!!
What kind of parent plays with their kid at 11 at night! Little 2 year olds need sleep! All children do! What kinda freak is so selfish that rather than letting their kid get a good nights sleep and have a normal schedule (like most other kids on the planet), they play with them because SHE has the time for the baby!! What a selfish biotch!!
I’m totally convinced that Katie Holmes is worthless as a parent and totally selfish. She can’t even manage to put the right clothes on a child when it’s 55 degree’s out (yes, I live in NY and it was COLD yesterday), or have her hair trimmed or combed. Now we hear that she keeps the kid up all night to play with her!!
A 2 year old doesn’t get to make their own decisions. As a competent parent, you are supposed to do what is best for them and that does not include putting them in summer dresses on chilly autumn days, not having the time to get her hair trimmed (or atleast tell the nanny to do it) and it DEFINITELY does not include keep your kid up till all hours because thats when the selfish mother has a few minutes to play with her.
I feel sorry for Suri. She may grow up rich but she has pathetic idiots for parents.
Picture this:
Tom offered to make all of his virgin bride’s dreams come true.
TC: “What were your dreams when you were a little girl (other than marrying me) ?”
KH: “Well, I always dreamed of acting in a Broadway play, running the NY Marathon, getting married in a castle,…” …etc
So, she signed the life-contract with him hoping that he would make her girlhood dreams come true and she has her fingers crossed and mind set that it will bring eternal happiness. When she hits 40-45 and looks back on losing herSELF, we’ll see.

Duh. So does everybody’s mother, and long before Katie started wearing them.
She is not a trendsetter, never was one and never will be one. She’s a hanger-on.
Looks tired and still has to do Thanksgiving. I thought Suri was back in Calif with Tom’s mother and only sees her occasionally. Hmm…..
Comparing Nicole and Penelope (and Mimi) to Katie is like comparing a Lamborghini, Ferrari, and Rolls Royce to a Ford Escort.
I like her attire and she looks so pretty.
She has “to do” Thanksgiving. Let’s see….she must mean that the hired help will be off so somehow she’ll have to manage the following on her own:
1) Wake up and call the paparazzi to tell them what time she and Suri will leave her apartment so she can use Suri for a photo op;
2) Wake up Suri extra early to dress her in her favorite summer outfit so they can go outside in the 40 degree weather and wait for the paparazzi to show up for the pre-arranged Thanksgiving photo op;
3) Grab the first 3 items of clothing she can put her hands on and dress herself;
4) Put on the mismatched outfit (without combing her hair or applying makeup);
5) Open the door to walk outside;
6) Walk down the sidewalk like she is going somewhere while holding Suri’s hand and looking for the cameras;
7) Wave down a cab to take her to a restaurant;
5) Read a menu and order at a restaurant;
6) Lift a fork to feed herself. (Having to cut turkey or ham will require an afternoon nap and maybe a visit to a Chiropractor);
7) Carry Suri while leaving the restaurant. Extra energy will be required if she has to turn Suri towards the cameras so that the paps can get a frontal shot of Suri while getting her face in the photo as well.
8) Possibly sticking her finger down her throat to throw up the Thanksgiving dinner. Can’t eat too many calories;
9) Finally, if she has time, she might put a warm outfit on Suri or change her dirty diaper. However, if she doesn’t feel like it, Suri’s dirty diaper can wait to be changed when the hired help returns on Friday morning.
Boy, she really has a challenging Thanksgiving Day. lol
Boy, what a rough day Katie is in for. I don’t know how she will handle it all.
Now Katie, Thanksgiving CANNOT be THAT stressful, when you have a full staff on hand……..” PEANUT NUMBER # 65 “.. ( LOL )…..I really wish that she would NOT wear ” cut ” jeans….They are extremely teen-age looking……….Did Katie mean that Tom only showed up for one dress rehearsal and her first opening ” preview night ” ?… When does His Majesty make another appearance to ” relax Katie “?…..OR to ” show off “?…….According to some critic’s choice words on Katie’’s performance, he might need to be there EVERY night, if his presence is what makes katie ” be all right “, and have a better performance…She needs to learn to relax and have more confidence WITHOUT TOM….He SEEMS to be a little more scarce every day !

Isn’t that just a bit obsessive? I think he is there for himself (PR) more than he is there for her.

No she was not cast because she was good. She is mediocre. Believe me there is no way she would have gotten that part if she a) wasn’t Mrs. Tom Cruise and b) if she would have had to auditioned for it. NYC has one of the most talented pools of actors for live theatre and I’ve probably seen most of them that play on broadway. Katie in no way measures up to any of them.
Anyone who is familiar with NYC theatre would tell you the same thing. But you are so closed minded that you would never ever be able to recognize true talent because you are so fixated on TomKat.
When I saw AMS I absolutely cringed at her performance. There is no way she would have ever gotten the part if she wasn’t MRS. TOM CRUISE. I also saw Kidman in the play she did. No comparison. Kidman shone because she has true talent. Katie is a small screen actress and should stay there.
And Dog, Cat, Horse whoever you are–I see upwards of 50 plays a year and consider myself someone who has a highly informed opinion and in my opinion you have no clue what talent is and don’t know what you are talking about when you defend her performance. The only ones that could like it would be her die hard fans. Anyone with an open mind would cringe with embarrassment for her.
