Sarah Palin — SNL Video Clip!
Alaska Governor Sarah Palin plays herself in the opening segment of yesterday’s episode of Saturday Night Live. She stood with executive producer Lorne Michaels as the two watched Fey play Palin during a mock news conference.
Palin also went on to deliver the show’s signature starting line, “Live from New York, it’s Saturday Night“. Politically savvy move on Palin’s part? You decide! Watch the video below –
Palin also dropped by the news segment of the show, “Weekend Update”, where she did a little rapping. Yes, Palin raps!!! Watch that video here. For some behind-the-scenes backstage video footage, click here!

steph..thank you for addressing lolz. It is “scary” that this person could possibly vote.
I am so tired of people blaming the government (both sides) on the problems of this country. We need to blame all the individuals who extended their credit so far that they knew they would never be able to pay it off. All those people making $40,000 a year then going and buying a $300,000 house. Just because someone will give you the credit, does not mean you need to use it. It’s just easier for people to blame soemone else other than themselves.
I’m also tired of people using the term “scary and nuts” to describe Palin. I guess if you respectfully fight for human life and love your country and god, you are “scary and nuts”. Please…
In regards to she doesn’t want people to live their lives, I guess Obama taxing those who have worked 20+ years, 15hour days, 6 days a week, to make $250,000/yr, they should just LOVE the fact that he is now going to take their money and “spread the wealth”. If it talks like a Socailist, and it walks like a Socalist, it is probably a Socailist.
It appears the world is full of idiots.
..sarah’s not funny… or hot.
`tina fey for vice pres.!
not funny at all. sarah palin did nothing, giving us a good ideal of what we will get if the macain/palin team is elected……..NOTHING…….
mark wahlberg - funny. (even tho i think he was dead serious) LOL
tina fey - always hilarious.
alec baldwin - always funny.
sarah palin - DIDN’T DO ANYTHING.
“Obviously has no interest in the world (did not have a passport until last year!)”
Omg, Seriously? HAHAHAHA.
The only good about Sarah Palin is the Tina Fey sketches!
Too bad for Sarah. I guess the “real America” will miss this skit.
Considering its coming from the “Elite New York media”.
[roll]
She’s physically attractive though has a “shriveled heart” and represents an archaic viewpoint of America and the rest of the World. Bush-Cheney set us back 100 years and the duo of McBush-Pain will set us back 200 years!
America is changing and the boats are flowing down the river! For those who lack the ability to “change” their mindsets and attempt to hold onto the trees, your hands are going to become bloody from hanging onto the branches of the trees as the boats near the rapids!
No more warmongers in the White House!!!!!!!!!
“If there is anything to karma, I hope that Sarah Palin comes back as a
wolf and gets shot from an airplane”…….B.M.
Obama/Biden 08
Smart move on her part I think. SNL reaches a wide audience.

Wasn’t that great. I loved the part with Mark Walhberg though.
I will say she was a good enough sport to go on the show. I will give her that much. But I think Hillary did the same thing.
I don’t think a lot of the posters here understand Palin and her pro life stance or the law.
Access to abortion is currently available under Roe v Wade, which is a federal law that says the choice to have an abortion is protected by a right to privacy. Because it is a FEDERAL law it applies to all states.
I’m a Federalist/Libertarian who tends to vote Republican because I am a fiscal conservative who believes in as little FEDERAL government as reasonably possible.
The plain english for that, and how it affects abortion is that I don’t believe the FEDERAL government should make the law on the issue. I believe the voters in each state should be able to make the law that suits their states (Palin agrees with this). So if the majority of people in California think a woman should have a right to an abortion and it is a private, medical issue - they can vote it to be law. But if the majority of people in Alabama do not support abortion, they can make it illegal in Alabama.
Each state makes the law that the people in that state support. In that scenario, if you live in Alabama, believe in abortion and need access to one, you can get one - just not in Alabama. You go where they are.
That is government by the people.
The President does not make the law on abortion/pro life. Congress enacts legislation, the President signs it into law, and if it is challenged in court, the Supreme Court can review the law to see if it is in line with our Constitution.
Please understand this. It is important for you to know that whether or not you agree with Palin’s views on abortion - if she is elected to VP, she can’t change the law to suit her views!!
It really worries me that so many people confuse social issues with the reality of what a President can and can’t do. Take the time to figure out how it works. Getting a little outline of it from Wiki is better than nothing.
Even though I don’t like her, I think that is nice she doesn’t takes herself too serious/
What? Um… PALIN DIDN’T RAP…. Amy Poehler did! Were we watching the same the show?
Palin just sat there “raising the roof” like an idiot, acting like she’s “hip” while being a good sport on behalf of the jokes about her. It didn’t make her seem anymore appealing. Palin dropping by the ‘Weekend Update’ was POINTLESS on point of the “gag.” SHE DIDN’T DO ANYTHING. They could have done the same thing - with the same impact without Palin showing up…
The sad thing for Tina, who is younger, is that Sarah Palin really is hotter that her.
If Mcain / Palin prevail. Tina has a new job as Sarah’s double. If Obama wins Sarah has can still have a new job as Tina’s double.
Palin is wonderful. Don’t believe that she’s not smart. This is a common method used to discredit a person so one can ignore the message. Even the ultra liberal feminist Camille Paglia wrote a column about how people are underestimating Palin and that she is not only smart but a good femininist role model for women. It’s on salon.com. See for yourself.
LOVE HER!!
Some of you guys really need to do some more research before you try to bash someone with incorrect infomation.
It’s awesome that Gov. Palin went to SNL and made fun of herself by letting other people make fun of her. She’s a trooper.
and I totally agree with #66, she’s hot, hah!
Palin made a smart move by coming onto SNL. It showed that she doesn’t take herself too seriously, unlike Obama who is a pansy and is like “you can’t make fun of my ears!”. Palin let SNL make fun of her accent, her appearance, her diction, her views, her quotes, etc and she still came on the show, she’s awesome.
BTW I pray to GOD that some of you morons can’t vote.
Wrong move! SNL humiliated her and completely discredited her as a politician. She just looked like more of a bimbo than ever!
LOL!
OK, as Liberal as I am….I actually would like to see 4 more years of Palin
To all Posters,
Does any one find it odd that many of those in favor of Obama /Biden have more hateful words then most Republicans do? Yet they call themselves Peacemakers? They have literally called Palin names since she came on the scene and now we have her appearing on SNL and showing poise, confidence and even courage to smile through it all. (shame on those who would use HATE and spend so much energy in spitting thier venom on all others who don’t agree with the Obamanation stance. ) Thank God our country is still free to express our beliefs and stand for the moral fiber that built our present society to be the most fair Govt system of any other in the World whether you like it or not!
This is why we have those in our own country and accross the sea hating us so much..we do stand for freedom …even if it is tainted at times, it still comes down to the choices we make. Whether it be Pro-Choice, Pro- Life , Pro- War ,Anti- War, Pro- McCain/Palin, Pro- Obama/Biden we still have choices afforded to us from those who gave their lives and shed their own blood for this opportunity…we seem to take for granted at times …..let us not forget nothing comes without cost and our Liberty Bell of Freedom to still ringing. Ringing with the resounding message of “America Land of the Free Home of the Brave”. I would say when you go into the Lions Den and come out smiling you have shown how much strength you’re made of and I would say lastly Sarah Palin may or may not be your choice but at the end of the day she is still smiling in the midst of her advesaries and walking with the Peace of God in her life….That is true strength…and she’s got that right…only wish more Americans got that message…this truly represents Ultimate Love, not hate!
Blessings,
KC
SNL she can do becasue she is reading a line chart but Meet the Press she cannot because she will make more of an ass of herself than she has already done! What a douchebag!!
FYI for Chrissie (#49),
You can’t possibly read the DailyKos and think you are getting facts? Those claims about Palin have been debunked ages ago. I’m honestly surprised anyone who has internet access doesn’t know that.
If you go to factcheck.org you can sort out the rumors and truth.
Btw: DailyKos started the rumor that Palin’s son Trig is supposedly really her daughter’s child and Palin faked a pregnancy to keep it secret.
Yah, that is as stupid as it sounds. But people bought into it. Palin was announced McCain’s running mate, and by Monday had to issue a statement that her daughter Bristol is pregnant - and was pregnant before Trig was born.
That is how Sarah Palin’s national spotlight began, with that crap.
For someone who has had an insane amount of mud slung at her, she’s taking it like a big girl. Going on SNL was just cool as cool can be - she laughed along with it and let it roll off her back like water.
That’s some kind of self esteem and class. How I wish some of the “elite” born into a more lucrative economic class had half the innate personal class of Palin.
Absolutely love her. She deserves a lot of credit for doing that show after the way they have portrayed her and her family.
