you are so right…..contrary to what many people may think…..jude law has very little ego………evrybody who knows him says so….he’s busy with so much work….films, endorsements, charities and peace one day. one day he’s in shanghai, the next in paris, in new york, l.a. then he’s a very hands on dad…every spare moment is spent with the kids…..i really think he’s their hero as he is mine……one thing for sure, the sexy mr. law is not focusing on his wardrobe…on an every day basis….he could care less……..private time is NOT posing for the paps. they take him as they find him.

I read once a Jude interview on People`s magazine and one of the questions to him was yours.
This are the words that Jude has tattooed on his left arm.

thank you so much for sharing your wonderful encounter with jude. when i saw him on the set of my blueberry nights in new york city i asked many of the people who worked on the film with him what was their opinion of him. they could not say enough about jude….thoughtful, funny, charismatic, sympathetic, interested in their families and he had alot of humility…..i spoke with ben jackson his personal assistant at that time..he told me how jude worries so about the safety of his children and the resentment he has towards the paps who photograph them. that’s why we often see him with an angry look on his face when they photograph his kids. and yes…no matter how beautifully jude law photographs on the screen he is much more handsome in person if that’s possible. ….

TThese two stories of encounters with Jude which are so typical of any of them I read and sustain me, , as I hope to add my story one day and I really think it will happen. I think of all the wasted time I have spent in airports sitting and awaiting for planes and only rarely finding someone interesting to talk to. I must be traveling to all the wrong
places. i will have to change my route pronto. Jared the children’s
birthdays were not correct, specifically Rudy who was 6 and not 4
earlier this month.. There are only two years difference between the
two youngest Laws and big brother Raf is now 12 and doesn’t live at
home anymore.

maybe we’ll all have a chance to meet him when we see jude in person in hamlet on the london stage. he’ll be portraying the meloncholy dane at the wyndham theatre from the end of may thru august 2009. what a treat that will be. seeing jude in tights….ah sweet dreams sweet prince…..

I saw Jude in person in Toronto last year on a public set of Repossession Mambo. Sadly I never got to talk to him or anything like that. He was filming so I only got to watch. He is out-size beautiful!

I got tickets to see Hamlet! For the first night May 29!

p.s. Nina: thank you for your “brush with greatness” anecdote. Love to hear stories like that. I travel through English airports with some regularity but have never had the pleasure of running into him. Not sure I would be able to string two words together even if I did! And when you say, “meeting that man makes any marriage shakes” it only confirms that I shouldn’t approach him were I lucky enough to be in the position to do so. Very confusing for the hubby & kids, ya know?

i think the kids gave him the vest so he honors their taste by wearing it…..as i mentioned before….. jude is somewhat color blind so maybe he thinks the colors are soft pastels…
nina, as far as jude affecting a marriage. my husband has given up on me……he shares his home with jude law. as a matter of fact he likes jude. thinks he’s very intelligent after watching him be interviewed and very handsome and likes his acting. of course he has no choice…it’s love jude OR……….

Personnally I doubt I’d be able to talk to him for 20 minutes. I think I’d faint first or loose the ability to make sense if I was lucky enough to meet him. Probably a good thing for my husband ;-)

The fact about Jude is that ,unlike his ex wife, he adores being with his kids,reading to them collecting them from school AND being alone with them-he doesnt (unlike the unlovely Sadie) rely on a possee of nannies,house keepers,paid relatives to do the work of parenting for him,this pic sats it all-dont see the woolly see the man/father. Judes work in Afghanistan is a credit to him as is his example of parenting. Cant wait for his next film and of course Hamlet-he’ll knock lightweight Tennent back into the Tardis.

i wonder how jude really feels about ken branagh opting to direct the film(big bucks) instead of working with him on hamlet. ( working for scale)….ken was at lunch with jude when he said to him jude you must do it, according to a nearby observer. in other words ken convinced him to play hamlet , ken would direct and now he’s not on board.
that said grandage will be fine. he’s an excellent director…he just directed branagh in ivanov and the reviews were ecstatic….

yes. jude is the face of martini in russia only. he will appear in their ad campaign. as you may know he is also the face of dunhill in asia and europe as well as christian dior in europe…not the u.k. these corporations are jumping on the bandwagon to utilise THAT face.

Isa you dn’t have the ads for Vodka becauwe russians drink Vodka like water and you drink wine, all kinds of delicisious wine. That’s
better. As for what Jude really likes, besides beer, it may be a vodka]
martini or tonic but i don’t really know and I think at this point when
he gets finished doing a few different ommecials he may not want to
really say. (I put champagne in a class of its own. He likes that too.)

Wht we all really like is the advertising! This Martini thing came out of
the blue, we didn’t know he was doing it or when he did it till after.
But these two commercials are very lovely. The first one, the interview
is self-xplanatory and the second one shows them making the ad
and is very istructive of what going into making these commercials
which look so easy to do but for particular phtographers are not.

He has weighed the pros and cons and he said himself that he’s lucky to have the life he has, to be able to travel and do the things he wants and raises his children the way he wants. We all know how Jude feel about the paps - but I personally only feel bad about the pictures with his kids. I understand more and more why those pictures annoy him and I wish there was some way we fans could stop those photos.. As for photos of Jude alone or with friends I feel less bad. No, he doesn’t like the paps but as long as they don’t bother him I think he should accept that they are a part of the came when you play at the level he’s at. There are plenty of celebs living in London who doesn’t get followed by paps so if they bother him that much he could do something abut it IMO. Again though - they shouldn’t take pictures of his kids.

Hi, girls. I agree with most of you. We’re fans and there’s nothing wrong in talking about the Jude’s work, clothes, kids or whatever. As long as we don’t judge him. And we never did as far as I’ve read here.

I also watched that Parkingson’s interview and in some point he laughs at the paps for doing the things they do to take a picture, so I don’t think it is such a bad thing.

There’s one thing that I don’t find it good here. It’s that in a way we’re judging JaneB the way we think she judges us.

i too think she is a fairly constant troll and not Jude at all!!! He said in
a cast interview on CLOSER that he uses the computer for information
and to get air tickets etc. but never goes online to read about himself. I
believ that because he said way back before he hit the big time in H’wood that he never read what was written about himself, neither the
good nor the bad but that it’s all reported to him by his agents. He
divulged on a couple of TV interviews, Ellen, etc. Furthermore I don’t
think he has the time to do it. We may not hear about what he does
every day but even when he is not working on a film he has a lot of
catch-up things to do (like we all would between trips) scripts to read
(that’s what’s in those fat briefcases he always carries around) and a
life to live including time to spend with the kids before they turn into
adults and that’s happening quickly. And lastly, Jude does not suffer
fools.

I know there are bits and piece of the film online but I really recomend seeing the whole film. You get a better impression on Jeremy’s hard work and understand why it’s so awesome that Jude helps out. Seriously. That he decided to go with him to Afghanistan.. I have no words but superlatives for both men. It almost feels wrong to talk so much about Jude being sexy, beautiful and so on. He is so much more and this film shows it ;-)

Isa’s right - As i travel and work on strange computers during the
year I am constantly re-retgstering and it’s a two minute proceedure.The pictures are mostly ones we have seen before except
for the ones showing the four main guys (GR, RDjr, Jude and Kelly leving their hotel.) Hope there will be more during the day from the
set.
