Korean pop princess BoA is breaking into the America scene with her first English single, “Eat You Up”.
The track, produced by Bloodshy & Avant, hails from her upcoming English debut album, Look Who’s Talking. Later this year, the 21-year-old singer is expected to release a remix of “Eat You Up” featuring rapper Flo Rida. Watch the music vid below!

I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the positive, supposed newbie-to-BoA posts are fans, but really, no need to hate on the artist for it. Every artist have fans like those. To BoA fans, stop. You’re just going to get bashed for one thing and it backfires. Pointless although I know its out of good intentions. Anyway, I’ll say it right out, I’ve been a fan for years, and I for one, don’t think this is the right song for her to debut with. Its way too computerized, people are simply going to blow her off as a crap singer. Her moves are great in this, however, the songs only doing half the job it should. Its hella repetitive and the way they made her sing it just makes her accent sound that much worse, of course, not implying she doesn’t have one. To those who are blowing her off because her face is not proportional or because they don’t think she’s hot are pathetic. Regardless, I’d expect a lot of reactions to this song and mv to be about the same as a number of the negative comments here. I just hope Look Who’s Talking will be much better. To people who are new to BoA, they’re going to give their attention for a bit and if they don’t like it then, bam, its gone. I highly doubt that many will actually say “wait, lets check out her other material first before judging”. If i was new to BoA, the impression id get would be, shes a good dancer, but has a weak voice. That’s not the image BoA needs for her DEBUT. *waits for people be bash this post because its probably coming*

people make decisions on music based on their own tastes. having tens of other people shouting in your ear is only aggravating and not at all helpful. if anything, you are making people dislike her b/c of this. for example, i know people who hate the bosox solely b/c of their fanbase.
if she fails, she fails. other aspiring artists should take note of where she failed and up their game before they come stateside.

Music video is kickass, the song itself could have used less of a robotic feel with the vocals. I wish BoA the best.

But I am Korean and I’m glad BoA coming to US. She might not make it big but at least she tries. I will support her because I want Asians to receive the recognitions they deserve.

Memo to all BoA fans. Do not force BoA onto fans. If they do not like her music then so be it. Everyone has their own taste in music. It is great that you all feel strongly about BoA wanting to do well. You hurt BoA and make her fans look bad if you start insulting those because they do not like her music.
For those who do not like it. If you don’t like it then say you don’t. Do not start mentioning race or accent. All it does is feed the thought that Americans are racist and cannot get passed tne race of an artist. She is no different from any other artists already in America. She is just looking to make her mark just like everyone else who enters the business so be respectful of her and do not judge her by race or accent. We all have accents.

She is a hella good dancer and even she doesn’t have a goddess voice she sure can sing quite well (BoA the live)

it’s not that big of deal if other people aren’t that receptive to boa fans, but at least we’re trying our best to get people to be more exposed to her. sometimes a push might go a long way.
