Dump it. It jumped the shark. You can tell that the writers got too big for their shoes and started to make it convulted and messy for no apparent reason.

Heroes is my favorite show and it definitely deserves to be saved!! I love it so much!!

they added way too many pointless characters.. i thought they would figure it out just why season 2 was so bad but nope they are still sticking with it for number 3! it turned into grey’s.. totally pointless and not worth watching anymore

It’s on life support and needs some major work to survive. KILL OFF characters that they don’t know what to do with (i.e., Mohinder, Maya, Matt, Tracy), give Hiro and Claire some brains so they stop behaving so stupidly, and streamline the story STAT!

I still love it.

The story lines are getting even more ridiculous (and biased towards the many Petrelli’s) but it’s still good.

I just wish that the writing and the acting could be tighter like Lost….just without the convoluted plot mysteries that will never get resolved.

I do wish the show would slow down a little and have some real moments. They have such great actors. Cristine Rose is stunning in the show.

But I do have to ask you EW? If it’s doing so poorly, why did you put it on your cover? Covers sell magazines. So, you do think someone cares. Or are you trying to save it. Well, I’ll be buying it.

Kill Claire/Hayden. That girl can’t act to save her life.

It had one great season. Now it is to convoluted, to many characters, to much jumping back and forth between time. They need to make it more simple, less confusing and focus on less heroes. It it would help if something happens once in a while. By the way Dexter is the best show on tv now.

I love heroes! but they are adding way to many characters…they need to start killing them off…plus im not loving the whole going to the furture and coming back thing…i would much rather have them all band together and fight a bad guy…more x-men like.

Its getting a tad confusing…a little bit like Lost. I want them to stop f-ing with Ali larters character…I loved Nikki/Jessica…but i never understood it…and now Mika doesnt have a mom…i think its getting a little fucked up. I like Traceys power…but i want her to adopt Mika or somthing…

and the sexual tension between Peter and Claire is disturbing…hes her uncle…claire is still one of my fav characters..i wouldnt mind her getting her arm or somthing cut off and grow back…

that whole cop and speed girl thing have to go…they both can die..i dont care about them.

I love Hero and Ando..i wish hero would fall in love or somthing that would be fun…

I like how Syler is becoming good, thats kinda fun…I hated how he had so many powers…i was realllly pissed when they let him get claires power..that made me mad…the whole point was that she was the only one who couldnt die..

Peter is really making me mad…i dont even like his character anymore..he used to be good and calm and now hes all badassy and lame…im glad his powers are gone now tho…

Dr sarish needs to go away…he is the LAMEST character on the show…he sucks, he is just nasty…hot..but nasty..and poor Mya…

I just want them to start stealing fancy ****…i dunno i want to see might fight scenes..

Oh and the Elle character was/is my favorite character on the show…she was soooo funny and crazy…I dont want her to become good…i want her even more crazy and fucked up…she was great….

actually her with claire would be a fun little combo…would love watching that..

Hopefully tracy will adopt mika, he will fix the presidential election for nathan and she becomes first lady…that would be fun…get rid of most other characters….like Parkmans dad cango away…

I am a weasely whiney weiner who can’t think of anything creative so instead of actually reporting, I blog about why my favorite show isn’t my favorite show anymore, and complain about free entertainment on the TV.

Are you serious? Since when is this an article, never mind a cover story… this guy is a joke. When did they start staffing 5th graders at EW?

EW can kiss my ASS! Are they just jealous because their readership is WAY DOWN?! Why go after a show that is the best thing on TV? These guys need to get back to work writing creative articles. I am officially cancelling my EW sub.

Eh. They can say what they want. Heroes is still a great show that keeps you on your toes. *shrugs*

This show is logically flawed. We can always travel in time to fix things and a lot of the characters are virtually indestructible. There’s nothing to lose because we’ll alway avert the danger.

Plus, I don’t think anyone has mentioned we keep seeing the same story over and over. How many people share the same ability? How many people can paint the future? 3? How many times have we seen an exploding man? Twice already. How many times has someone been trapped somewhere? Ancient Japan and spirit walking in Africa.

This show is reiterating itself and stealing from other shows. Another show already did a shot giving people abilities. It’s called The 4400 and the shot was called promicin.

There’s no way to save Heroes. I know some people will like anything no matter how poorly written *cough* Stephenie Meyer *cough*. Soon everyone will grow bored of the non-drama and move on to the next big thing.

Return to a simple theme…too many Heroes turning bad (why?) and villians turning good (wtf??? WHY???) without any proper backstory. Killing of NICKY to introduce “freeze-girl” ????? (WHY?) and suddenly no more info about her kid who was altogether too kool about his Mom’s look-alike appearing in the midst of his grief………

Heroes is the best damn show on tv ¬¬’

Zachary Quinto OWNS this show - hands down - and now it’s going through a disorganized phase while they work his character in to capitalize on his brilliance. Also, with a cut short season 2 they have to scramble a bit to catch up and correct mistakes. They will figure it out… just give them time!

first let me say this, i am a huge fan of this show and have been since season 1 and i hope it continues.

ok, this show is seriously teetering on the fence of being canceled or being saved, but it would take a lot of work on the part of the writers.

first off, the time-traveling is getting a bit confusing. they said that this season would be accessible to those just jumping in, and it really hasn’t. the whole exploration of the butterfly effect should apply to the actual writing too. going back and forth in time isn’t always the best idea on saving the world, even hiro said so himself.

the repetition is also another problem. they’re are more problems than just the world being blown to bits, or certain places blowing up. there are plenty of other crises that can be averted and it all doesn’t have to lead to the world blowing up. also the repetition of abilities is also absurd, if all people gained abilities it seems they would all have the same few that were introduced in season one and not be unique to the individual, which some of the characterizations of people and their abilities is a bit cheesy and convenient. tracy being seen as a cold b*tch and having cryokinesis, come on!

the characterization has gotten blown out of proportion in certain areas, while others have been repressed to the form of invisibility, so to speak. peter and claire have almost become caricatures of the who they were in season 1, peter has become the screw up, while claire has become the wilting flower. nathan seems to still be up to his old tricks by standing on his soapbox preaching while sleeping around in order to seek comfort. mohinder has gotten his head so far up his a$$ with this feeling of being left out of having abilities that he’s transformed himself into a literal parasite. maya has lost her point, if she even had one to begin with, she’s become like wallpaper, with no purpose other than to be looked at and occaisionally objectified. matt’s character had really evolved from seasons 1 to 2, in terms of gaining confidence in himself and his ability but has completely been stilted this season and being played off as a dupe, because he was shipped off to africa. nikki/jessica/tracy- this whole thing is an experiment gone wrong. if ali’s character was killed off last season because her character had begun to fall flat, leave it at that. tracy is just a rehash of what nikki/jessica were with just an ability change and more pouting. and micah being left out of the picture, except to feed more into tracy’s character is a travesty. his ability would allow for so much to be explored in terms of his character, especially now that both of his parents are dead. hiro and ando have somehow managed to be one of the few characters to have evolved a bit, but still keep the dynamic that people love. sylar’s evolving from bad guy to mixed up good guy seems a bit rushed, like one minute he’s the boogeyman and next he finds out he’s a petrelli and now he wants to save the world. the change is good but the way it was done wasn’t.

speaking of which, this whole petrelli dominance has also gotten ridiculous, claire being peter’s niece was already awkward enough given the insane amount of sexual tension between milo and hayden, but it seems everyone is secretly related to the petrellis somehow. i personally had a feeling they would try and connect sylar to the rest of the petrellis somehow, but being peter and nathan’s brother is a bit off-putting to say the least. that separation truly gave them their dynamic and that dynamic has become muddled up with this new development.

the new and excess characters need to either show their purpose at the door and be able to jump in or get killed off as soon as possible. elle has completely disappeared and hopefully she won’t return. she hasn’t fit into the storyline well from the get go like the extra puzzle piece that doesn’t fit anywhere. daphne, while having a cool ability, seems completely two dimensional, and pairing her with parkman won’t really save her. knox really has potential if the writers work him in the right way, they’ve done pretty well with him so far by slowly integrating him more and more and i hope they keep him around to see what happens.

unfortunately the only thing we really can do as fans to watch, and talk about it, because it is obvious that those who work on the show have paid attention to the fans in the past and will hopefully take what we suggest into consideration. i just hope they do so before it’s too late.

Anyone who thinks this show is in danger of cancellation doesn’t have a clue about how the TV business works. Overall viewership may be down but it’s the young demos that advertisers care about. And guess what? Heroes 18-49 demos are still in the top 10 and its 18-34 are even better. In other words, the show is too valuable for NBC to ever think of cancelling it.

Ok, i can’t believe that entertainment weekly post this. this is bull. just because people don’t like seeing the things happening on the show doesn’t mean it has to be cancelled. Every show has to have make some changes and lets be reasonable all shows are dramatic, just as this one is. and if NBC knows what’s good, they won’t cancel it and if they did it would be the worst mistake ever. and i’ll never watched another show on nbc again………

and if you are a fan from watching the show from the start you wouldn’t be bashing it. I just hope the fans like me give the show another chance and show what it could do in the furture.

I think it’s actually pretty good this season. It’s nice to get complex with the characters and see that they’re not all just one way or another. Who we thought were the “Villains” are completely different than who the real villains actually are. Give it a chance!!!!

I watch the show and love the concept of the show. I think the problem is that it needs new writers. There’s entirely too many character plots going on at one time and it tends to move a bit slow, which is not J.J. Abrams style. If the show had writers like “24″ - were it’s never dull and fast moving it would be such a better show.

The first season was one of the best seasons of TV I’ve seen in a long time. The second season started to get very convoluted and jumped around way too much. The third season has gotten even worse. Too many characters and too many story lines. I miss the first season…

Umm…Do you guys account for the million of people who DVR these shows…I’m one of them and I will cry if you take this show away!!!!!!!!!! It’s up there with LOST, I can’t understand how they could be doing so bad when everyone I know watches the show or DVR’s it!

If this show is cancelled, I will die!!!! Nothing else to live for!!!! :P There is not any other great action movies/ series at the moment and there has not been for a while - HEROES IS IT! I personally congrats the whole team on the show, its brilliant and i hope to see another 3 seasons… at least!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS- to who ever says otherwise, go do something else with your life! This world would be a better place without all of you negative people commenting! :P
