Angelina Jolie Returns From Afghanistan

Angelina Jolie visited poverty-stricken families during a two-day visit to Afghanistan this past Wednesday and Thursday.

The 33-year-old UN Goodwill Ambassador commented that “the courage, resilience and quiet dignity of returnee families rebuilding their lives against the kind of adversity few of us can imagine shows the human spirit at its best.”

Angie appealed for long-term commitments to Afghanistan and greater humanitarian support for the population as the harsh Afghan winter approaches.

Oh please lot’s of people do charity work in various countries but they don’t broadcast it taking cameras everywhere with them. Celebrities need to realize when they ***** this stuff out for the camera they aren’t drawing any attention to the causes to get people at home to help, they are drawing attention to themselves. But that’s what Angelina wants. Why can’ she do this stuff wihout cameras? She’s just using it as an excuse that she can inspire people? Please the attention is on HER. Everyone here is talking about HER and has no clue what they can do. She never makes that clear just gets photo ops. She wants to be seen as this inspirational saintly figure and get all this glory. Get over yourself Angelina.

Great photo-op skankie!! Your such a great actress!! (PUCK)

Lastly but most importantly of all Lesson of the Day, if your man/husband leaves you, a wise man will say to you, DO NOT PROJECT. DO NOT JUDGE MOST OF ALL DO NOT ASSUME but you aint blameless in this ****.

If you PROJECT YOUR MARRIAGE ONTO THAT OF STRANGERS
if you ASSUME/ JUDGE what you do not know then chances are, you are one of these FOLKS:

- i agree
- not impressed
- is that a joke
- so sick
- Theodora
- Corday
- plz
- milla
- doesnt work anymore
- dnd

THE SADDEST THING about women like these is that they are so GONE…projecting much…to the point of NOT realizing that their experience is eating them up to the point of confusing a stranger with the other woman.

Pretty sad to be these:

i agree
- not impressed
- is that a joke
- so sick
- Theodora
- Corday
- plz
- milla
- doesnt work anymore
- dnd

i admire her so much.
keep it going Angelina. we all support you.

I can have an opinion; you don’t have to agree with it.
++++++++++++++++
Okay…I don’t, you seem awfully aggressive about coming here, to jp fan site to state your opinon over and over and over.
So what your really mean is you can have an argument and no one has to agree with it, but you are going to continue to post it and post it and post it.

Thats not an opinion….that is a crusade!

AJ an inspirational woman, humanitarian and great actress.

If you’re an Angelina Jolie fan, run, don’t walk to see this film. In fact, if you’re not already a fan of hers, I’m willing to bet that you will be after seeing her outstanding performance in the role of Christine Collins, a single mother who after losing her child, is ruthlessly persecuted by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) in a desperate attempt to silence a crime that threatens to expose their deception and corruption.

Angelina Jolie captivates the screen in every shot that she’s in—we cry with her and our hearts feel hope along with hers. This is a very different role for Jolie than the majority of her previous films, and she convinces the audience that she is more than just a sexy, action heroine. The range of her performance is more akin to her emotionally stunning portrayal as the wife of slain Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl in last year’s A Mighty Heart. In Changeling, she channels from deep within her powerful love for children and brings to life a grief-stricken, desperate single mother who dares to challenge against corruption and discrimination.

Lots of screaming at the ocean. Keep up the good work Angelina. You help the refugees while also making the trolls go crazy.

And right after she got back to her 20,000+ square foot rental and her servants and nannies, she sat her kids down and explained that mommy and daddy aren’t married because they are not mature enough to commit to one another, but they are committed to collecting as many children as they possibly can. And, gee mommy and daddy fell in love while daddy was married to someone else; but then again, she has no respect for marriage.

Theodora, you hit it dead on too. She makes movies filled with violence and yet she claims to be so against violence.

I’m sick to death of seeing this woman’s face. She is a liar and a hypocrit.

The only things worse than this woman are her obsessed fans who seem to think she really cares.
================

Who is the hypocrite now? “Not impressed”, you were here to bash Angelina even before anybody mentioned JA. And now you confess that you have been a long time fan of JA. A good deed by Angelina only irks the fanistons, because it makes their idol look really selfish and they can’t stand that.

I’m really sad cause i never want to lose my private jets, and my mansion, and the nannies.
and can’t ever possibly live in hell like these people.

so sick you sure picked the right name-that you are you freak!

Angelina Jolie has returned from a two-day humanitarian trip to Afghanistan this week, visiting poverty-stricken families, according to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

The actress traveled Wednesday and Thursday to regions where thousands of former refugees have returned to the country to face crowded, squalid conditions.

“The courage, resilience and quiet dignity of returnee families rebuilding their lives against the kind of adversity few of us can imagine shows the human spirit at its best,” Jolie said.

Jolie, 33, is a Goodwill Ambassador for the UNHCR, which reported the trip on its Web site.

She has called for more international support for the returnees as winter approaches.

According to the UN, more than 5 million Afghans have returned home since the fall of the Taliban regime in late 2001. Another 3 million registered Afghans are still in exile in Pakistan and Iran.

I see the d-listed freak is back with its numerous alters, whats the matter the meds aren’t working tonight, lol

to “I am not impressed”

I pity you. That is all I am going to say.

Whine, whine, whine. Spend some of that 110 million dollars on doing good and helping others, and you will be blessed.

jolieinspiration @ 10/24/2008 at 10:38 pm

thank you angelina for being such a compassionate human being and for always inspiring me. you are truly blessed- the video is so touching

The crisis in Afghanistan did not happen in a vacuum. Yearsof bad policy on the part of the United States goverment. If Jolie wants people to support her causes, have gravitas when she speaks on behalf of the UN or the CFR, she needs understand the root causes and speak to those. Trips like these are well meaning but they do not solve any problems. Further, she recently hinted that she might vote for Obama. Obama supports the continued occupation of Afghanistan and extending the war into Pakistan. She also wrote an Op-ed piece for the Washington Post praising the occupation.

This is a committment well beyond photo ops but the questions are 1.) Is she for war as a solution to internal conflicts, 2.) is she doing more harm than good?

Pitt generously gave money to the No on Proposition 8 in California. That’s to his credit. However, he has established an organization which promotes an invasion by the United States government into Darfur. That is unacceptable to those who support peace and non-intervention.

Celebrities need to realize when they ***** this stuff out for the camera they aren’t drawing any attention to the causes to get people at home to help
********************************************************************

Wrong. When celebrities pitch a cause they believe in, contributions go up 50% and more. That’s why charities want to recruit celebrities, because they know they will bring in the bucks they need to operate. Why do you think Microsoft’s new venture, Kids In Need of Defense, asked Angelina to be their spokesperson?

all the people that wont let other freely express their opions here are controlling, neurotic, obessive freaks.

here mothafuckin here for myself @ here #108 here, here. mothafuckas!

You are so right Jill! Not impressed sure spends alot of her time on here. Guess she identifies too much with jenho and not being able to keep a man! It’s a sad, pathetic life she must have.

wow!!, it must suck to be a hater of Angie’s right now, everything is working out for her just fine, life could not be better for her and she still finds time to care for others, that’s called being content with your life .that you can find time to help others, what a great example of a lovely woman, more people should take notes.

Hens still whining. The world does not revolve around a blog. While you are whining, AJ is out there doing and making a difference. No one is perfect. However, those in need are not concerned with a Hollywood divorce, government policies or Team BS.

Not impressed @ 10/24/2008 at 9:30 pm

No Jill, you are the twit and the loser. Every time someone voices their opinion of Angelina, and it isn’t favorable, people like you, begin the crap about Jen Aniston. I could care less if JA lays in the sun all day and turns into a prune. I could care less if JA bangs the entire city of LA. It would not alter may life in any way, shape, or form. And, frankly, there are people with a hell of a lot more money and ability to help the less fortunate, BUT DO NOTHING.

I find it repulsive and disgraceful that people like you, Jill, can only defend your idol Angelina by attacking Jen Aniston and anyone who even remotely likes the woman.
—————–
Are you ok? Did you forget to take your meds? You sounded like some one full of hatred and anger. You wanted to lash out at Angie for doing good for the unfortunates. Did you feel a litle better? Now
go the corner and shut the f*ck up, b**ch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

# 100 Not impressed @ 10/24/2008 at 10:17 pm Cliniqua–you really are the biggest freak of all.
