Angelina Jolie Returns From Afghanistan
Angelina Jolie visited poverty-stricken families during a two-day visit to Afghanistan this past Wednesday and Thursday.
The 33-year-old UN Goodwill Ambassador commented that “the courage, resilience and quiet dignity of returnee families rebuilding their lives against the kind of adversity few of us can imagine shows the human spirit at its best.”
Angie appealed for long-term commitments to Afghanistan and greater humanitarian support for the population as the harsh Afghan winter approaches.

Did Brad break your heart or did you date him in your dreams. BP and AJ are both doing their part to help in this world. AJ is an influential UN Ambassador and BP is involved in various charitable projects also. It does not matter who got involved first or who influence whom. The thing is together, they make each other better. I respect both BP and AJ. I appreciate all that BP is doing in New Orleans.
Look at the fanistons. They are the one coming here to bash Angelina for her humanitarian work, but as soon as someone criticizes Jenjen, they cry foul. “Why always mention Jen when you talk about Angelina?” Well look, hypocrites, if you jenfans don’t throw dirt first. And we have proof that the Angelina “critics” are Jenfans. Case in point: poster “Not impressed”– a long time fan, mind you.

olie’s two-day trip comes ahead of an international conference on return and reintegration to be held in Kabul next month. Co-hosted by Afghanistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UNHCR, the event will bring government ministries and donors together to see how the country’s absorption capacity can best be strengthened to support further repatriation.
The award-winning American actress is familiar with UNHCR’s Afghan operation, having twice visited Pakistan in recent years to see Afghan refugees there. But the visit on Wednesday and Thursday was her first to Afghanistan to see the reintegration challenges inside the country.

Wow Angie does something that will help hunfred of thousands in her work as a United Nations official and all this hate. What is wrong with you people and if you dislike her so much why are you even here? Lrt us be perfectly clear.. Angie will keep doing what she is doing. SHe will contiue to be a great humanitarian, great mother, loving partner and wife and an absolutely fantastic actress. Oh and by the way anyone who has actually met her,or worked with her having nothing but great things to say about her.
So sorry haters, I suspect you will be hanging around Angie threads for a long while because her fans are not going anywhere and we will always support her.

I’m always amazed that her humanitarian efforts inspire such vileness among the haters.
She has been doing this for seven years. She has done over 70 events for the UNHCR. Most of the goodwill ambassadors do two events a year and they are usually parties to raise funds.
No one does this sort of thing for publicity. To show a fake consideration for those less fortunate. To prove to the world that they are a good person.
All you haters–you need to get off your fat butts and get on a plane and go to some of these third world countries and see a fraction of what she sees. If you have any kind of decency in you, it will change you for the better. You will have a really hard time erasing the images of children in poverty, women abused, refugees with no hope.
Read her book. It is simply written as she is not a great writer or even a very good one. She writes from the heart.
Thankfully she has the stamina, the courage, the determination and the raw guts to try and elevate the lives of these people that most of us ignore on a daily basis unless someone like her brings them to our attention. Some will write a check and forget about it. She can’t. She sees the suffering.
Yes, as I said, the haters are hard to understand. Their jealousy, their pettiness, their asinine views of what she does….
Thankfully, Angie doesn’t care since she is focused on those that need her.

Angelina Makes Humanitarian Trip to Afghanistan

While Angelina Jolie can’t walk the streets of just about any city in the world without making headlines, the superstar actress managed to fly under the media’s radar for two days this week when she spent two days visiting returning refugees in Afghanistan.
Angie, a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN’s refugee agency, spent Wednesday and Thursday of this week touring Afghanistan for the first time to meet and talk to former Afghan refugees as they attempt to reintegrate themselves into the country they once called home.
“The courage, resilience and quiet dignity of returnee families rebuilding their lives against the kind of adversity few of us can imagine shows the human spirit at its best,” says Angelina in a statement on the website for the UNHCR.

On Wednesday, the Oscar-winner visited the Nangarhar province in eastern Afghanistan, home to 20 percent of those who have returned since the Taliban was removed from power in 2002. Here, Angelina got to see first-hand how the large influx of returnees — 850,000 in Nangarhar alone — has caused a drain on much-needed resources.
And then on Thursday, Angie travelled to the capital city of Kabul, where the population has tripled in recent years, causing massive problems with the city’s ill-prepared infrastructure.
“Afghanistan has been struggling to absorb these massive returns,” explains Angelina. “It’s understandable. It’s one of the largest population movements in recent history.”
Was just watching Nancy Grace and she was reporting on the scene that Jennifer Hudson’s mother and brother has been murdered and her 7 year old nephew has been kidnapped and an Amber Alert is out for him. So sad
Jen is all of those horrible things and more, if you are her fan, that says a hell of a lot about you, so deal with being associated with a shallow, ugly, looser who is wearing big fake lips.
