OlderJennifer Hudson’s Mother & Brother Found Dead
The mother and brother of Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson were reportedly found dead in Chicago around 3PM Friday.
The two adults were found fatally shot — Darnell, 57, and older brother Jason. The bodies were reportedly discovered by a cousin who lived nearby. Jennifer is currently en route to Chicago.
Hudson, 27, became famous after appearing on American Idol in 2004. She later went on to pick up an Oscar for her performance in Dreamgirls.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Hudson’s family and friends.
UPDATE: Jennifer’s rep Lisa Kasteler tells People, “We can confirm that there is an ongoing investigation concerning the deaths of Jennifer Hudson’s mother, Darnell Donerson, and her brother, Jason Hudson. No further comment will be made and the family has asked that their privacy be respected at this difficult time.”

Oh, how utterly horrible! I’m so sorry that this happened to her family!
A lot of incomprehensible things have happened to people this year, but this really hits rock bottom. This is so upsetting beyond words! Losing a mother and a sibling is… like losing oneself. I can’t even imagine what Jennifer is going through. We wish Jennifer all the love and closure from hereon…..

Like everybody else, this is absolutely horrific !!!!….Jennifer stated on another site recently, that her mother was her ” best friend in the world “……That it ” was she, that persuaded her to do American Idol and worked hard to send and keep her there “…. Lana, if you don’t have anything nice to say why don’t you shut your trap. I can’t understand how people can be so inhuman even in time of tragedy. I won’t be surprised if you don’t have a murderer in your family.
