OlderJennifer Hudson’s Mother & Brother Found Dead
The mother and brother of Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson were reportedly found dead in Chicago around 3PM Friday.
The two adults were found fatally shot — Darnell, 57, and older brother Jason. The bodies were reportedly discovered by a cousin who lived nearby. Jennifer is currently en route to Chicago.
Hudson, 27, became famous after appearing on American Idol in 2004. She later went on to pick up an Oscar for her performance in Dreamgirls.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Hudson’s family and friends.
UPDATE: Jennifer’s rep Lisa Kasteler tells People, “We can confirm that there is an ongoing investigation concerning the deaths of Jennifer Hudson’s mother, Darnell Donerson, and her brother, Jason Hudson. No further comment will be made and the family has asked that their privacy be respected at this difficult time.”

when i read the part where it said “Jennifer Hudson’s Mother & Brother found dead”, and where it says, “The mother and brother of Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson were reportedly found dead in Chicago around 3PM Friday.”, my mouth just dropped. this is so tragic! i don’t ever pay attention to her, and i always thought she was kind of a s l u t because of what she wore…like how on everything she would wear, it would show major cleavage. but, anyway…oh my gosh, this is horrible! i don’t know what i would do if this happened to me.

OMG my thoughts and prayers are with her…this goes to show you should always let the people close to you know that you love them…you never know when they will be taken away from you….
this is all so sudden. its crazy how things like this can happen to someone even so famous as jennifer hudson. i feel really bad for them…

How could this happen…
this is one sad new; Did Jennifer just got proposed or something really great happened for her? and now this tragic new. A death in a family is so sad already; These are 2 deaths at the same time. Let pray for Jennifer. Life is so unpredictable.

I cried when I read this. Jennifer is one of the nicest people and her family was her LIFE. This is must be beyond horrible. RIP to them… and fans will always be there for Jennifer.

I remember seeing her mother on American Idol, she was so full of life. It saddens me to think that people were shot like this, and my prayers go out to Jennifer.
