Oh, I live in NY, and today the temps barely got to 55 degrees at midday, before quickly getting cooler. What the h**l is Katie’s problem?

Ok, I usually don’t dog her but everyone else has wool jackets on. My daughter is always warm and even she kept a light jacket on while outside today.
I don’t get it. Her mother and the body guard are in warm fall/winter jackets and the child is wearing a spring dress and flat shoes. What gives? Does the child have body temperature regulation issues?

Katie got a warm jacket for herself but a summer dress for her 2 y/o girl. Yes, I saw a blanket but Suri walked & played without it most of the time. It’s cold there I gues.
Usually, I don’t comment about Suri but now I feel like I have too. I live in New York and its not summer time. It was in the 40s today and I didn’t go out without a jacket. Unless I’m going out to get the paper, there’s no reason I would go to the park to relax without a jacket. Suri is a child…so where’s her coat? She doesn’t need a blanket wrapped around her. She’s not an infant. She’s toddler so she should be wearing her coat.
Does Kate even care that her child might get sick? This is not California where they’re still in the 70s. It doesn’t make sense how Katie could walk around bundled in her fall coat and her daughter is walking around in an August summer dress.

Katie and Tom are abusing this child in front of the whole world.
This looks like a Munchausen by Proxy situation.
They purposely freeze the child, and then they act like they are taking care of her by wrapping her in a blanket.
This happens a lot; Katie has a warm coat on or thick sweater and little Suri is in short sleeves.
Sometimes, with certain kids, when they play, their tempature is higher.
With my niece, it’s the same thing. It’s really cold, but we put her in short sleeve shirts and flowy skirts when she’s running around. We also either wrap her in a blanket when she’s done so she won’t get cold, or jacket. My niece isn’t found of jackets, so it’s usually a blanket, because she can cordinate between her own tempature to take it off and on.
And, you know what?
Maybe Suri does have tempature problems. It’s so cruel and ignorant to prey on a child’s faults and a mothers instincts.
At least her mother isn’t in jail off and on, like..Britney Spears? (That being said in older terms, because now shes better.)

Halo, I think Katie is so hell bent in showing off her daughter’s one-of–a-kind summer dress, that she will never be seen in again, that keeping Suri warm does not even cross her mind. This is all for show and PR, and it is d**m sad. This is child abuse, and makes me very angry.

At 2 years old, the blanket is just a blankie that a child carries for security, not to keep warm. The blanket is too small to provide protection from the cold.
This is not about playing. the kid NEVER EVER is dressed for colder weather. She could have long pants and cotton long sleeves on. I know kids that get hot too. The difference is that they are dressed in long sleeves, pants, socks and gym shoes.
It amazes me too dianad. A dress that she probably won’t even wear again because Katie buys this girl truck loads of dresses. I don’t see the point of showing it off…

I will repeat this because you are so incredibly STUPID. Children do not have “tempature problems” unless they are sick. All humans have an approx body temperature of 98.6 degrees give or take a tenth of degree.
No one is being cruel to Suri who seems to be perfectly normal and is an adorable little kid. I think Suri is adorable. I think Katie needs to put warmer clothes on this child. There is no rational reason for a 2 year old to be running around in 40-50 degree weather with a summer dress and nothing covering her legs. Even a lightweight jacket and pants would have been better. I don’t want to hear the “maybe Suri refused” theory either. She’s not the adult, someone needs to be in charge there. I’ve raised four kids and cared for many more, and I will tell you, none of them ever went out dressed for summer in this type of weather.
I know you can not catch a cold from the cold, however if you pick up a viral infection and your body temperature has been compromised by say, spending time in the cold without a hat, gloves, covered arms and legs, it can make a person more susceptible to becoming ill from the virus itself.
Someone please tell Katie and Tom to get that child a coat and some leggings or tights!!!!

Suri reminds me of my daughter who never wanted to wear warm clothes. Even though it would be freezing outside, she would run out with no shoes on, no gloves or jacket. Her fingers and her nose would be red and ice cold. She would be sniffling from the cold too. All the while not caring at all that she was freezing. She was too busy playing.
I am not defending Katie. On the contrary. Katie needs to get some balls and dress Suri in clothes that she can not remove herself, like overalls with some tights underneath. Then she could run around all she wants to with no jacket and at least her poor little torso would be covered up!
Toddlers are really difficult. Actually they are fun loving little monsters that tell you NO! Has anybody seen the video of Katie helping Suri go down the slide and Suri pushes her moms arm off of her as if to say “let me go down without your help!” ??? Suri calls the shots, she probably needs some too from the likes of her activities will likely land her in a hospital soon.

Holmes is the most incapable parent I have ever seen. I checked the temp in NY today. The high was 52. Everyone else is in coats. Normal people were in coats. Okay Suri needs a coat. If they want to show off clothes they have the money to buy numerous coats. So if the attention is what they are after there are many fabulous coats out there in different weights so the child could have a coat for a variety of temperatures. I know Scientology believes children should make their own decisions , and I do agree with giving children a choice, but there has to be a limit.
Its not about blankets or choices it’s about what is best for her , a two year old child. And anyone with any amount of common sense can see a jacket / sweater and socks/tights are needed in this situation. I want to see Katie wearing a summer dress with nothing on her legs as well. If she’s going to let Suri freeze, the very least she can do is expose herself to the same temperatures!! What a horrible mother she is. She wears a coat with a long sleeve top underneath but doesn’t have the sense enough to put warmer clothing on her child.
I wish some would call DCFS on Katie and Tom. Perhaps then Suri will be properly taken care of. Allowing a child to be exposed to cold temperatures wearing just a summer dress is a form of abuse. If Kate is too afraid to say no to Suri when she wants to wear these thin little summer dresses, then give her a choice. Put two outfits on the bed and let her choose one. Then the kid thinks she’s in control and it works great. If Katie insists on dresses only then get her some warm long sleeved dresses paired with some warm tights and take along a sweater. And those little dress shoes in October are really sad. They have such cute little sneakers etc. for little girls in pink, with decorations on them, much more comfortable than those cold things. Mom should be the parent - not the child deciding especially when it comes to dressing for the season.

It’s funny how Katie’s former Dawson Creek coworker Michelle, who is also in NY, dresses her little girl Mathilda appropriately for this time a year, in a nice warm coat, wool skirts, tights and pompom hat and she looks ten-times more stylish and appropriate than Suri who dresses like an little o’le lady. Find it hilarious than Michelle is one-upping Katie on kids fashion when Katie is supossed to be a fashion icon. Put a coat on Suri for goodness sake!!! And that blanket is only to hide the diaper. There is NO WAY that Suri is only 1 month older than Shiloh and Kingston. They still look toddler like, Suri looks much, much older, at least 2-3 months older I think.

People, it was like 60 degrees out earlier in New York today, calm yourselves. I was outside with my dog walking in a regular t-shirt and was just fine. If some pictures surface of Suri dressed like this in late November and December, then you can start whining. Until then, you are just looking for something to nitpick.

To Katie’s relatives and fan club: That little girl is not any more loved than any other children, and other children are better taken care of.
Katie is a terribly mother. That child has a red nose, you can see she’s cold. Katie never puts proper clothing on that child.
Children have parents for a reason. To make life decisions for them until they are old enough to make them for themselves.
A two year old without proper clothing on, ALL the time speaks volumes of something not being right in that family.
PS: Not only does Tom and Katie let the child go around without improper clothing for inclement weather, the child is still in diapers and baby bottles at the age of almost three years old.

As much as I think Tommy Girl sucks at life and Katie Holmes can’t act her way out of a paper bag, I do have to say that Suri is usually a cutie pants. I do not like this haircut. She looked so much cuter before. I think it doesn’t flatter her face or features very well, although the bangs were a good idea. She isn’t gorgeous any more, just average-sorta-kinda-cute. If you squint or just look at the whole picture rather than focus on her face. Sadly, I think she’s starting to favor Tommy Girl as she grows. Rather unfortunate.

I agree with most of you all. I also noticed that everyone else in the background was wearing fall jackets to keep warm while Suri wasn’t wearing anything but a summer dress. You can tell by her pink little nose and the way she was balling her little hands into fists that she was feeling the cold. I don’t understand how anyone would not dress their toddler in something warmer especially when they themselves dress appropriately for the weather. Somewhere on this website is a picture of Michelle Williams’ daughter who was seen out but dressed in a sweater, pants, and a little cute hat. Take note Katie!

Tom is a Scientologist , so it is only natural to believe he follows the teachings with reverence. Including how to raise his children. That being said , I see the reason for Suri’s attire MAY be that she wants it., and therefor her parents would allow it.

My goodness she was such a cute baby. Little Suri is getting a little on the homely side. What is Jared and People magazines obsession with Suri and her mother. It is so boring and is now leaning on total disgust.. Enough of the little girl, weird father, and talentless mother.
i just love suri. and she’s really like any normal kids. they have those creepy smiles and look, then very surprising and amazing behaviors. just really unique characteristics of children. and we can never judge children to be mean or ugly. they are all beautiful. every human being is born good natured, so we can’t judge them to be mean or whatever. about the chiffon dress of suri, my niece also does not feel comfortable wearing heavy clothes, like denims and jackets. she just wants to wear skirts and little baby sleeveless shirts. she cries when you put on her jacket especially during playtime. maybe there are children like that. for a fact that katie brings a blanket with her always, means she’s also concerned of Suri’s comfort. besides, Suri doesn’t look like she needs to have a jacket on.
We really don’t know. even my brother when he was around 4-5 years old wants to sleep on the floor than on the bed, because the floor is cold.
I think it depends on what the child has been used to. because i also have a friend who wears jeans beacause she doens’t feel warm in dresses…

Like everyone else, I’m always amazed that the child isn’t wearing a coat. Then I watched a video (www.x17video.com) of Suri and Katie playing at the park. Katie tried to put a sweater on Suri. Suri did everything she could to keep it off and ultimately won. It was an interesting exchange to watch and a little wierd. Katie needs to show that child who’s boss! No wonder Katie looks so wiped out!
What concerns me the most is that she is wearing a short sleeved summer dress with no tights at all and plus summer shoes. Her mother on the other hand seems to care about her own health, however doesn’t care about her daughter. I think all this is sick. From the photos, you can see that everyone in the back, bystanders and by passers are not only wearing coats, but hats and scarfs as well.
In my opinion, the poor girl is freezing and it makes me very sad that her mother just doesn’t care. I am sorry, but this is bothering me for quite a long time now, and I think that I’ll at least feel better if I get it off my chest. WOMAN, please, I’m begging you, open your eyes and start taking care of your daughter. Suri is just so precious and gorgeous, all this saddens me a lot.
If you ask me, it’s just as weird that this child NEVER wears pants or shorts than it is that she was in a dress in the cold weather. Does her mother think she’s too good for pants? Give me a break, she should not be in dresses 24/7.
