The View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck introduces Republican U.S. vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin during a campaign rally at the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimee, Florida on Sunday.
Sarah Palin denounced the story that a wardrobe worth $150,000 was purchased for her in September, saying the report was “ridiculous” and declaring emphatically, “Those clothes, they are not my property.”
“Instead of the issues, they are focused, fixated on her wardrobe,”Hasselbeck said. “Now, with everything going on in the world, seems a bit odd. But let me tell you, this is deliberately sexist. I know you know that.”
After the rally in Florida, Palin headed to Asheville, a city in the Appalachian region of North Carolina.

It is not that 150,000 dollars was spent on her clothes, but that the RNC paid for it. It is well known that all the Democrats running for office pay for their own clothes, so to argue that this is sexist is wrong.

People, the flippin clothes are either going to be sold in an auction or returned. They were a gift! She did not ask for them. And what, do you tihnk Barack Obama and Michelle shop at flippin Wal-Mart? Michelle has a stylist. Why are we talking about something stupid and not important. Lets look at the woman herself and not the clothing. You know, if she campained in flippin fleece like she did in Alaska you guys would be calling her trailer trash. Using her husband’s, a senator which gets paid through our tax dollars, money. They were showing on T.V. I think it’s sad that the Democrats can find nothing else to talk about then how much someone spends on clothes, all the celebs that are voting for them do it on a daily basis and who pays for their income? 1. Michelle isn’t running for VP Sarah Palin is, and she’s gunning for the folks who spend $150,000 only when playing Monopoly with the family.
2. Michelle’s clothing is purchased not by the DNC but private earnings. A senator’s salary is just that, salary. Add to that the money earned from his books and guess what? Michelle gets to shop where ever the hell she wants.
The Obama’s have never claimed to be living a Hamburger Helper store brand soda pop Kmart-WalMart only life. They have never tried to cut and isolate any one group from the masses in hopes of pretending to identify with them like Palin has, and so don’t even try that one.
3. Critic’s aren’t now, nor have they been limited to non McCain/Palin supporters.
Just like Dems and Indies in Alaska want to know why their tax dollars paid for Palin’s kids to take trips (or stay home), Alaska Repub’s there want to know too.
Just like they all want to know right here in the lower 48 how the Pit Bull with lipstick allowed herself to be “forced to not only take $150,000. in merchandise, but also be held down while the expert the RNC felt was needed, made her face up to the tune of $22,000.”

It so ridicules having to read the comments about Elizabeth, you should not make those remarks about her just because she has different political beliefs than you, so when people don’t believe what you believe, then they are stupid?
One do not put me in the same category as Elizabeth, she’s a celeb and therefore I think she just like other celebs should stay out of politics. Two Why does it seem like all that’s coming out of the mouths of people who have posted here is b!tch this and b!tch that. Why can’t Obama voters state their opinion without harsh language, it doesn’t make them sound very intelligent. Three I never once said anything derogatory about the Obama campaign I was simply saying they shouldn’t call the kettle black. I do have one last thing before I split.
A celebrity has just as much right to speak as a non celebrity, and that’s including Elisabeth Hasselbeck “no matter how much she irks me.” She’s a citizen just like you. She pays taxes just like you, and she votes just like you, so guess what? She’s intitled to speak as publically about who she supports or doesn’t just like you.
It’s just like the right to wave the flag in one hand and bellow about how they’ll lose their freedoms if this or that person is nominated, while with the other hand, clamp shut another’s voice if that voice is saying what they don’t want to hear.

It’s not the Obama camp that is criticizing Palin on the clothes issue. It is the media and the public. Obama campaigners do not have the time to comment on trivial matters. When Elizabeth says ” ‘THEY ARE FOCUSING ON HER WARDROBE” she is suggesting that Obama and his campaigners are, AND THAT IS NOT SO. Elizabeth is not just being disingenuos, she is being deliberatly misleading.
